Sure, I agree with that 100%. But the original point (not yours, the one by the couple of posters who brought this up) wasn' t "cosplaying 24/7 and obsessing over it is weird and childish" it was "any adult who watches cartoon/super-hero movies/star wars etc is childish because those are not adult interests".

What is considered adult entertainment anyway? Another poster made this same question and they received my and u/lefterfield' s sarcastic comment back, but seriously, what makes a movie childish and whatever movie that poster was thinking of adult entertainment? It' s a bunch of people who are paid millions to play pretend regardless of how they do it.

Exactly what I thought.

If they were smart they would lay low for a while, but their constant craving for validation and breaking other people's boundaries (not to mention intolerance, entitlement, misoginy/homophobia/racism) is too strong.

It will be interesting to see what will come out of this entire situation. Losing the subs on Reddit was terrible, but I said it immediately that it could be the start of their undoing (and best of all, by their own hands). I knew that, without us evil TERFs and lesbians, they were going to start attacking any other category of people that didn't kiss their ass.

So they started with the subs about women' s health (like PCOS and pregnancy) then subs about women's porn (like that Yuri thing), now they are going after gay men. Who will come after them? I accept bets, intersex people? Black people? Rape victims?

GC: Why do you think it's not biologically essentialist and biologically deterministic to define sex on the basis of gametes and sex organs? by [deleted] in GCdebatesQT

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Bioessentialism: women like shoes, pink, make-up and gossip.

Biological reality: women are female.

You are confusing (and I refuse to believe you are not doing it on purpose) stereotypes with defining characteristics. What you are doing is the equivalent of saying that it' s bioessentialist to say that redhead people have red hair, what we are doing is saying that it' s bioessentialist to say that redhead people are all fiery and passional.

Having a dick or a vagina (or XY or XX chromosomes) is not a stereotype or bioessential, it' s what makes someone male and female.

Hope that helps.

PS: I am still waiting for a definition of gender that isn' t bioessentialist and that relies on objective and provable facts instead of feelings and social constructs.

How do you all feel about Blaire White? by Kai_Decadence in GenderCritical

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 21 insightful - 3 fun21 insightful - 2 fun22 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

You are absolutely not in the wrong. It makes no freaking sense to be up in arms about how pronouns should be sex based and about how TIMs shouldn' t be recognized as women and then making exceptions just because they are less bad than the regular TRA.

Blair White is a man. I know nothing about this Rose of Dawn person, but if he is a TIM he too is a man, and calling them men and "he" is perfectly acceptable and, as far as I am concerned, prefered. People who yell at you about it are just a brand of TRA, and I have stopped caring about being considered a bad person by individuals who think that womanhood is about plastic surgery/ stereotypes/what "ejaculators" say it is a long time ago. You just have to decide if you care about it or not. I have abandoned any kind of fucks I could have given when it comes to language and hurting feelings, so if it' s rude to call a man a man, then I guess I am rude. I can live with that.

I am not a fan of White anyway: he might be a little more reasonable than regular TRAs, but he reached his opinions through conservatism. Not to mention, whenever someone posts a video or a comment by him and I decide to watch it, the overwhelming feeling I get from them is that he is attacking lunatic TRAs because he is afraid that once society peaks, people like him are going to have it harder. In short, he' s more interested in himself than he is in logic and reason, and it wold be ok if he (and his groupies) at least admitted it, but for some reasons he' s considered a champion for women, children, LGBs, when the truth is that he is using those categories because he can use them to rise himself.

In short, I never believed them, but I didn' t see a reason to not pandering to them, a bit because it wasn' t that big of a deal, a bit because I was a nice good leftist and wanted to be tolerant and on the right side of history, and a bit because I really didn' t think it through.

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They were programmed to believe that everyone supports them for real instead of the fact that people just parrot the approved mantra for either woke points or to avoid drama. So when they end up facing reality, they are too indoctrinated to understand that it's not the evil TERFs brigading, it's regular people who are telling them exactly what they think.

It' s the same with passing: have you ever seen the comments down most TIMs's pictures in trans-friendly sites and subs? They are full of "You are gorgeous!" and "I would have never imagined!" when a quick glimpse to the picture in question would make everyone see that it's pretty obviously a man there. I still remember an article I read in which the author was absolutely confused about why marvelous specimen like Alok and Jacob Tobia couldn't get laid despite being gorgeous, smart and funny. There are at least three things that I consider wrong in that sentence.

And these same people cannot understand why they get misgendered when they walk down the street or why the straight man they want to fuck told them "I am not gay!" when they propositioned them.

Or pronouns: people use preferred pronouns out of politeness, fear or apathy, but using them convinces these people that everyone actually sees them as what they claim to be, so they are absolutely flabbergasted when, say, a child they don't know sees them and "misgenders" them.

Lies are bad, truth is always better. These people are lied to constantly and are too fragile, maladjusted or plain old disturbed to think critically and face reality. They prefer hiding in a comforting lie than the harsh truth. I kind of pity them, but on the other hand these are the same people who threaten anyone who doesn't kiss their ass. So as terribly petty as this probably sounds, I enjoy the schadenfreude.

After what happened, it seems to me that any concession I would make in order to be "friendly or civil" with trans people would be used against me. That is definitely what happened with pronouns, names, labels and spaces, and I am frankly tired of working for their sake when everything I would get in return wouldn' t be in any way beneficial or pleasant for ME.

I am never going to "respect what someone wants to be called or referred to as" if it goes against reality or if doing it validates beliefs and feelings I do not share, especially if they bring way more problems than they solve. And given that doing that is what brought us here, there' s no way I am going to fall for that again just to be screwed over again in the future.

I don' t want to be friends again and I don' t want a "better relationship", I want for us to be left alone.

Agreed, they are all doing what makes them reach the highest position.

I am not stupid enough to believe that republicans actually care about women' s rights, they just saw a way to exploit leftists' s idiocy and hypocrisy to gain votes and powers.

I can' t really blame them: politics are all about smearing the opposition so that you can be painted in the best way possible, so it isn' t that weird that they are using this against the left. And what they are saying is actually right, even if it' s used to put them in power, which will bring other problems for women.

As for leftists, I don' t trust them anymore: the past few years made it exceedingly clear that they have used women as props to gain good will and blackmail us into voting them. We can' t vote right wing because they are against body autonomy for us, so we are forced to vote leftists because who else is there? But they never cared about us and they showed that they are willing to throw us and the rights we gained out the second a new group can give them more pr support.

They can all go fuck themselves as far as I am concerned.

The sub, like its predecessor, is about being critical of gender and trangenderism, and unfortunately lots of women support both of them.

It's never been about men in dresses, it's always been about the sexism and homophobia of the trans community, and that includes TIFs, female NBs and female groupies.

TIFs don't get a pass just because they are women, if they are parroting the same shit men say or contributing to the erasure of common sense and sex based rights, then they are a topic of conversation.

At this point, I don't even think the "good" ones don't want the bad ones around, I just think they want them to lay low for a while so that they won't give a bad name to the entire community. Being looked at unfavorably by history doesn' t necessarily mean that you are wrong.

Yes, I worry that humans will choose the wrong "right side of history", but I don' t think I am wrong in the positions and opinions I have on this specific matter.

As for changing my mind, I have joined the defunct debate sub specifically because I wanted someone to give me a reason to forget my TERFy thoughts. It never happened and I can assure you that it wasn' t for lack of trying (on my part).

I will change my mind when a good argument will succeed. But I am not going to change my position while still believing in the things I believe in just because it' s hard to be criticized. There' s nothing wrong in not wanting to use certain words to describe a category of people and at the same time wanting them to have their spaces, labels, protections and so on.

If it were up to me, they would keep existing as they are now, the only difference would be that they would be listed as their biological sex in legal documents. At most as people of their sex presenting as the other sex (but still not considered legally part of their preferred sex/gender). I don' t really care much if trans people inform any person they meet of their status, all I care about is that they are not legally listed as their preferred sex and that they inform sexual partners of it: not disclosing would be considered rape by deception.

I also don' t care if trans people are read as their preferred sex or if other people decide to follow their requests and call them their preferred pronouns/labels: in short, I don' t care if you call yourself a woman and your husband calls you his wife, I don' t care if you tell everyone that you are in a heterosexual relationship, and I don' t care if your family and friends, or even colleagues or random people on the street call you a woman. What I care about is that, legally, you aren' t recognized as a woman. Male who presents as a woman (or whatever other euphemism that means that)? Sure. Woman? No.

This obviously has consequences in the real world, which would be addressed. Like sex segreated spaces: there would be co-ed or even trans-exclusive/neutral spaces. Sports leagues? Same. Sex segregated positions? Same.

People would be able to choose whether to call trans people their preferred pronouns/labels without fear of repercussions.

As for medical transition, I don' t know which is best between allowing everyone who wants it to get it as a cosmetic surgery, or make it something that can only be given to someone after psychological evaluation. I think I am leaning on the former more than the latter, but anyway I wouldn' t ban it. Except for children: absolutely NO medical transition for anyone under 18.

They remember about us only when we are useful. They don't give a shit about us as much as conservatives, but they can still pretend that they care about us when they need our votes.

A huge talking point that I hear all the time is that "at least they support abortion": they support abortion now because it's beneficial for them, but given how fast they were willing to declare women bigots for focusing on their biological issues, I see no reason why tomorrow they could change their minds on that as well.

The second biggest argument I see is that they follow science and not religion: except they have a huge boner for Islam and are all for declaring that "identifying as female means you are female". Whether they actually believe that shit or not, they are more than happy to pander to it for pr and woke points, and that is just as dangerous as actually believing in it.

I don't support or vote right wing, but I can't support or vote left wing anymore. Maybe if they started growing some fucking brains and guts, I could. But right now I am politically homeless.

Male embryos don't start out as females. The fact that female and male embryos are similar doesn't mean that male ones are actually female.

Embryos are clusters of cells in all mammals, that doesn't mean that we start as a standard creature and then develop into a different species. We already are that species the second the egg and the sperm fuse, same goes for male and female.

This idea that there is a standard sex and the other is a mutation of it needs to go, in both ways.

It works... until people actually start thinking or have had enough, and by then they realize what is being said makes zero sense whatsoever (and are unable to unsee it no matter how much they might try).

Should trans people disclose?

Yes.

Why or why not?

Because I think people have the right to know if the body part they are going to have in their mouth/vagina or the body part they are going to stick their penis in is real or the result of surgery or if it is artificial. Long story short, I want to know if the fallic thing I am sucking on is made of arm skin or it' s the legitimate thing.

And if so, when (and why then)?

The second there is talk about dating with the prospect of sexual intercourse: there' s no point in wasting your time with someone who doesn' t want to have sex with you, and there is no point in wasting someone else' s time if sex is something you both want and one of you doesn' t want to do it.

Is it a form of rape, sexual assault, or violation to not disclose? If so why and at what point (date? Kiss? Sex?)? If not, why not?

Yes, it is a form of sexual assault and violation because the person who doesn' t know cannot make an informed decision.

Any kind of sexual intercourse is a sexual violation if you don' t disclose your sex. Maybe an argument can be made for kisses, I don' t know if I would make that argument, but I can understand why that can be considered muddy. Anything else is a sexual assault.

Dating? I think it' s a potential waste of time, but it' s not a sexual assault.

Is not disclosing sex comparable to not disclosing race, religion, marital status etc? Why or why not?

No: while I do think that those should be disclosed if they are not obvious or if the situation makes it obvious that it' s important for the other person (for example, if you know the person you are going out with only dates latin people regardless of their skin colour, and you let her think that you are one, you are deceiving them), and that lying about them is deception, the things that are being lied on are not sexual in nature. I don' t have sex with someone through their ethnicity, religious beliefs or marriage, I am having sex with someone through their genitals.

Is it safer for trans people to disclose or not to? Why or why not?

If you are so worried about being attacked for being trans, tell the person you are seeing that you are trans in public so that there are fewer chances that that person might become violent.

I truly do not understand the argument that some trans people make about not wanting to disclose because it' s dangerous and then still sleeping with that person: why would anyone want to have sex with someone they might consider capable of killing them for what they are? Why would anyone want to have sex with someone who could be completely disgusted by them?

What are the true definitions of male and female that do not exclude people that have removed all of their genitals and/or can't produce sperm or egg? And why doesn't sex change when secondary sexual characteristics change? by EverydayIsSad in GenderCritical

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

First of all, the definition is not "that produces ovas/sperm", it' s "belonging to the category that produces ovas/sperm". People who don' t produce ovas/sperm because of age, choice or illnesses are still in those categories because, without the age/choice/illness, they would produce them.

Secondly, Let' s assume for a second that the definition is indeed the one you provided: then it means that you need to produce ovas/sperm to be considered a wo/man. A male who grows female secondary sex characteristics still doesn' t produce ovas and as such isn' t a woman/female. A female who grows male secondary sex characteristics still doesn' t produce sperm and as such isn' t a man/male.

It' s not a question of effort, and the fact that you are pretending it is is incredibly obnoxious.

Calling us GC instead of TERF is indeed a courtesy that doesn' t validate our ideology and opinions at all. Calling men she means that either I consider them some kind of women, or that I am ok with selling womanhood out to make certain men feel better. Either way, your position becomes stronger and your arguments more "valid", because your womanhood is completely dependent on third parties recognizing you as such. Us participating in it just destroys our points and enforces yours. You calling us GC doesn' t do it.

Not to mention, trans natal males love using the fact that many of us use the "correct" pronouns out of courtesy against us because they bring it as proof that since everyone uses their preferred pronouns, then it means that everyone considers them women, when the reality is simply that the great majority of people call you what you want for headpats, for courtesy or to avoid drama.

Anyone who is trying to replace sex with gender.

What is attempted, is to stop going by biological sex and instead go by gender identity where biological sex shouldn't matter

First of all, sex is important in lots of things outside medicine and bedroom, including sports, stats, sex segregated spaces. Secondly, gender identity is something we don' t even know if it exists, it would be entirely unprovable even if it existed, it would be completely dependent on people' s words or, at most, adherence to stereotypes, and, more importantly, lots of people don' t even have it.

Do you even know what sub you' re on? We consider gender identity bullshit and trans people' s claim to be their preferred sex or gender completely idiotic, why exactly should we play along with a practice (preferred pronouns) that goes completely against our beliefs? Especially one that is being force-fed on everyone and we are very vocal about opposing. WHy should we care about being desrespectful? I have zero respect for any man who calls himself a woman and asks to be referred as one through labels and pronouns, so I guess it' s coherent with my general opinion.

Also, on what basis should we call a man a "she"? The fact that he asked because it makes him feel better? In that case, it' s a man asking women to perform emotional labour for him. Because he presents as a woman? Looking like a woman doesn' t make you a woman, and the fact that he is re-enacting a very common porn fantasy for men means that he is willingly using a certain set of social roles and stereotypes to define his "womanhood". By calling him a woman we would be indirectly implying that womanhood is indeed about those roles and stereotypes. Because it' s the nice thing to do? Women have been told to be nice since the beginning of time, especially if it benefits men. Those are all GC and radical feminist themes.

I don't think they are into anime so much as they are into something called "Hentai" which has a lot of sexual fetishes derived from Japanese folklore, like "futanari", creatures with a female appearance and male sex organs.

I completely agree. I have stopped following anime and manga 15 years ago, but some of them are just stories in animated form and I still see those series I used to watch/read as well written. They are no weirder than any other live action tv show or movie you could find. They might be childish if the demographic target is children or teenagers, but have you ever tried watching a Disney Channel tv series?

The problem comes, like you said, from the pornographic animation. Some of that stuff is sick and it seems like that is what brings these porn-addicts into nope territory. Of course they then translate that crap into anything else. Including themselves.

First of all, AFAB is a term that is used in intersex communities: using it to describe non intersex women would be appropriation.

Secondly, whatever word you choose, it's not going to work anyway. Only in the past couple of days I have seen TRAs saying that terms like male and female are transphobic, not to mention that lots of trans people use biological terms like female, periods and vaginas to describe themselves and their bodies on a regular basis.

I appreciate the fact that you are trying to find a compromise, but they don't care how we call ourselves, they want to be included in that group no matter what.

They don' t want to be considered a fetish, and that' s what they would be if they went after perverts. The problem is that they are fetishizing regular people in the same way perverts fetishize them.

They don' t care about people' s boundaries and consent, they just want to have their sexual "needs" satisfied, and if that means that someone else has to be violated, so be it.

That safety excuse has never sounded not ridicoulous to me: I might understand being lonely, but it makes no sense to put yourself in a potentially dangerous situation just because you can' t stand not having sex.

Maybe some of them are really that desperate for human contact, but it sounds to me that it' s something they say in order to justify what they do more often than not. The reality, I think, is that most of them know that if they were upfront about their status, the 99,9% of people would turn them down and only perverts and few others would remain interested, but since they feel entitled to have sex, they refuse to disclose and hope that the victim doesn' t realize what is going on long enough to do what they want.

I doubt it is, but even if it were, the issue it is raising is still the same.

If women' s spaces allow males who identify as women, then it means that a locker room or a nudist spa for women allow males and their penis on display as well.

TRAs have said so themselves, "women" with a penis belong in women' s spaces, and that includes places like this. Then, when that didn' t gather the response they wanted, they started claiming that "it never happened". So are they saying that they aren' t supporting the idea that someone with a penis should be allowed in women' s spaces? Sounds pretty transphobic against the most oppressed category that ever exist and will ever exist to me...

Also, Slate has been kissing trans asses for a while, I wouldn' t trust them on anything remotely involving that topic,

It' s very hard to regain someone' s trust after you shredded it to pieces. It' s not impossible, but I cannot imagine a way in which it could be done. Considering the past few years, I would see any change in the trans community as something that is done either to keep us calm for a while so that they can strike the final blow or as something that they are forcing themselves to do in order to save themselves from a backlash. Not because they think it' s right, not because they actually believe it and not because they give a damn about anyone besides themselves.

I am tired of feeling like an idiot for trusting people and then be treated as if they were telling me "I can' t believe you braindead idiot fell for it again!" when they inevitably do it once more. Better safe than sorry.

I don' t think it' s a movement per se, I think it' s just a reaction and I doubt any of them are actually serious about making a real LGBS community.

I find it funny and I hope it' s going to bring the issue (and other related issues) out in the open: I hate that it was needed in the first place, and I am frankly sad at the fact that all of this generated from one guy making a 2 minutes long video while we have been saying the same thing for years, but I am at a point in which I am not going to complain. In the end, we will be alone anyway, but for now this will do.

LGBs and straight people seem to have found a common ground at least, which, as a straight woman, is always something I am happy about after seeing years of homophobia from us. Too bad it had to happen because "no" actually doesn' t mean "no" anymore. I also like the fact that there is a decent amount of support for us "evil TERFs" and that it is showing that this movement has pissed off way more people than I initially thought. For them to be so dedicated and on point, it means that they have spent a lot of times dealing with TRAs, and they show quite a similar journey from ally/TRA to peaking hard.

The fact that they are using the same method TRAs are using, except that at least they are being ironic about it, is hilarious to me. That sub is one of the best parodies I have ever found.

Preach. Before the sub went down, we had several threads about how trans natal females didn't feel included in our feminism because we don't cater to their identity. Nobody is forcing them to join us, if they don't like that we consider them women, they are free to look elsewhere: I am sure the inclusive feminism trans natal males created will be a welcoming space for them and their biological needs, especially given that it's not exactly an uncommon sentiment that trans natal females feel talked over by trans natal males. 🙄 I can't wait to see a trans natal female trying to talk about periods, pregnancy and abortion and have a trans natal male educating "him" on those topics.

My personal favorite thread on the inclusion of trans natal females in radical feminism, however, was by a poster who made a long speech about the ways in which we could be more inclusive of trans natal females. Except in every comment they wrote there was a TMAM dogma thrown in. Why the fuck would women who hate being women to the point that they call themselves men want to be included in a movement about women is beyond me.

Also, I just refuse to play semantic games to cater to gender specials at this point. A debate topic that I have seen often is that it's wrong to stop using preferred pronouns and labels for the ones who are bad: I completely agree, the concept is idiotic no matter what, so I refuse to pander to it for anyone. Why should we make an exception for trans natal females and prove that there are times in which language can be twisted? Calling them men is less dangerous than calling men women, but the idea behind both is the same, and accepting one automatically validates the other.

John Oliver - hypocrite by BEB in GenderCritical

He and Colbert seemed smart and sane before this trans bullshit started. They were always ready to point out the inconsistencies of the left (along with the ones coming from the right).

Now they have both jumped on the train: I don' t know if they actually believe the crap they say or they are simply pandering out of fear and virtue signalling, regardless I lost any kind of respect I had for both of them. If they honestly believe this stuff, they are hypocritical morons. If they don' t but still play along, they are hypocritical assholes.

Oliver in the specific lost me for something unrelated to trans issues in which he had a similar stance. During the height of the migrant crisis in Europe (I am Italian) made a piece for his show criticizing anyone who didn' t share the "you' re all welcome" attitude by using a migrant, who just happened to be a little girl on a wheelchair: his argument was basically "this girl is a migrant, all migrants are like her, and you are evil if you even think otherwise!".

It was so absolutely dishonest that I started questioning every argument he has made in the years, not to mention the tipping point regarding journalism (official and not) in general.

If someone I thought was smart and objective was able to be this kind of dishonest, then I guess pretty much everyone in the business does it.

I am still waiting to know how "experts" can tell a genuine gender identification apart from a not genuine one.

Undoubtedly. Further proofs that most of these people are just supporters because it' s trendy and not because they actually believe that it' s the right thing to do or that they actually believe in it.

A person I loved dearly recently came out as trans and I don't know what to say to him. by saragini in GenderCritical

If they don' t want to deal with this shit and are afraid that he goes ballistic on them, the solution is really simple: get him out of their life.

I don' t think all trans people should be cut out of your life, not even the ones who indeed live in genderland if you are willing to put up with them. But if you are worried that someone in your life might attack you for the wrong word you say, you should cut that person out, regardless of anything else. Man, woman, trans, LGB, disabled, it doesn' t matter, if you are scared, you shouldn' t be around them.

Does GC feminism include trans men? by Genderbender in GCdebatesQT

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Misgendering. GC probably see this as no big deal, but transmen do.

The importance of biology over gender identity. Transmen probably see this as no big deal, but GC do.

Explain to me why a GC movement should give up on its own main belief to make people who oppose that belief more welcome.

What exactly do you think we should do, start respecting gender identity when our entire movement is based on the fact that gender identity is complete and utter bullshit?

Not listening to trans men. Many GC feminists insist trans men transition to escape misogyny. Indeed, this is true for a small percentage of trans men, but not the majority. However, most trans men don't like this narrative. Another one is insisting trans men are lesbians in denial.

It doesn' t really matter the reason why they do this as far as I am concerned. They still do it and we still think it' s bullshit to call a woman a man and that she is legally recognized as such.

Lack of applicability to trans men. Some things are specific to people assigned female at birth, like pregnancy and menstruation. No doubt these things can affect trans men. However, trans men are better able to pass than trans women, and many trans men say once they pass, they are seen as men. Trans men do have a unique perspective on sexism because they see it from both sides. Many report when transitioning, they are taking more seriously at work, however people start to perceive them as a threat. But GC insists trans men will never pass and will always be seen as female.

I have actually never seen anyone of us saying that trans natal females never pass. We usually agree that they pass better than trans natal males. I have seen some of us saying that trans natal males never pass, which is something I disagree with.

That said, so what? They have a unique experience of sexism, great: and? What exactly should we do on the matter? If they are victims of sexism, they should be protected, if they are perpetuator of sexism (as women or as women pretending to be men) they are part of the problem.

Name calling. One moment GC says trans men are traumatized women escaping misogyny or lesbians in denial, many also say trans men are fetishizing gay men and fujoshis/YAOI and call them creepy. Which one is it?

Both? You lot like to say that you are not a monolith, why is it that it' s only true when it' s beneficial for you?

Counterquestion: if trans men are men, why do they want to be included in a group that centers women?

Caster Semenya losses appeal against the restriction of testosterone levels in female runners by greenish in GenderCritical

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

She's a woman who is likely heartbroken and has to come to terms with her position in sports and the fact that yes, her testosterone production does create an unfair advantage much like a woman taking steroids, as in those who beat her in the past but were disqualified.

If Semenya realizes this, why the fuck are they still trying to push to be included in those categories? Why can' t they accept that they can' t compete in women' s sports and use their visibility to start another league, for example, or simply accept that they can' t compete against other women because it' s unfair?

Do you have even the slightest clue of how detrimental and earth shattering a girl or woman finding out she has PAIS or CAIS can be to her? How suddenly whenever she speaks, despite knowing she was a girl and didn't benefit off male privilege or socialization her peers are going to think of her as a defective male?

Why exactly the feelings of these people should be taken into consideration when it comes to defining their sex? I am sure that many TIMs feel the same when they realize that they are not women or that the people around them don' t see them as women and consider them failed men. Why should their feelings be ignored, but people with CAIS/PAIS' s feelings should be taken into consideration? Just because you feel closer to them? What does male privilege have to do with this anyway?

This is the very mentality that justifies IGM and I am disgusted to see this here.

Yeah, no. The mentality that justifies IGM is that intersex people should conform physically to one sex, forcefully if necessary. Nobody here is saying that, and I am pretty sure nobody here is even thinking it. Nobody here is saying that Semenya should undergo whatever medical procedure sport committees have suggested either, and I frankly think that putting the option out was incredibly gross (I am talking about the commitee). They shold have banned Semenya regardless and move on.

Personally, I do believe that chromosomes should be the base to define sex, because those chromosomes are the ones that give a person their sex to begin with and cannot change. Intersex people suffer from conditions, without that condition, they would have developed as their chromosomes dictate. Regardless of what I think on the matter, no person with functioning testicles is a woman. Semenya is a male with an intersex condition, and as such they should be considered in regards of sport leagues. Not that I believe they didn' t know for decades, but even if they found out yesterday, the right thing to do would have been dropping out and find alternatives, not pushing continuously about being included when, you say it yourself, they agree and understand that they have an unfair advantage.

Yeah, this reminds me of those 20 somethings who screech that at 30 your life is basically over and then go ballistic when, ten years later, they have 20 somethings telling them the same thing.

I witnessed it with my own eyes, with a university classmate who, when we were in school, spent her time saying how gross anyone over 30/35 is. I have no idea what exactly she was thinking, though: did she think she was never going to reach that age? People grow old, that's a fact of life, the alternative is dying young, which is not exactly preferable.

The way she behaves now when a teenager leaves her a seat on the bus is hilarious. She made the biggest scene of all at least twice for that.

I don' t remember ever dreaming about having sex.

I don' t know what sex I am in the dreams I make, I never check and it' s never the topic of the dream.

Whatever the case, I am not really sure why this is important. It' s a dream, I dreamt about my city being turned into a war zone and I had to fight to reach a stationary shop to buy a dozen of ring binders once, I don' t think it needs to be taken literally or be considered something more than synapses going nuts.
