So, just to make it clear, it is abhorrent to discriminate against a category that has something in common like gender identity, but it is perfectly OK to discriminate against a category that has something in common like female biology.

👌

Even women who normally scoff at feminism understand quite well that they could be/have been raped because they're female.

This shit is a toxic tsunami but you know what? It's showing Western women everywhere just how tenuous their "freedom" is and how many people would like to see us permanently silenced and subjugated. This is chilling, yes, but it's only revealing what's always been there. Now, instead of women thinking their experiences are individual and their husband/boss/rapist was just a bad egg, women are realizing this is class-based, not their fault and something they can fight through female solidarity.

I'm having an optimistic day, I guess.

Even Buck Angel and trans men realize this. That's why they're not clamoring to get into men's prisons like trans women are trying to get into women's prisons.

Imagine going through the trauma of rape, and having some idiots invalidating you because your trauma isn't woke enough to them.

Inclusion is going too far

Or threatening to kill you because you want to feel safe after that trauma. It's a scary new world. https://makemorenoisemanc.wixsite.com/mysite/post/the-harassment-of-vancouver-rape-relief-women-s-shelter-and-its-supporters

It's too bad the TRAs won't watch Boy's Don't Cry because Hillary Swank dared to play a trans character while not actually being trans. I remember it being a hard watch, but it was made very clear that you can't identify out of sex-based assault.

In other news, I'm telling my child no more Lion King in this house because Simba is not voiced by a literal lion.

I’m beginning to think that somehow the TRA are actually alt righters who are trolling us all. Every day it is more and more insane to think somehow these ideas are within leftist politics.

Have you seen the Magdalens Berns video of the guy saying exactly this? He suggests becoming a lesbian transwoman to take control over women. It was a joke back then but now... it’s almost believable

Oh a lot of them are right wing but pretend to be left because the right won't validate them. Contrapoints admitted he only moved to the left for that reason.

Do I understand this California change correctly? They are removing sex and replacing it with gender? So a trans man who gets pregnant can then freely be fired without any consequences, at least in state law?

Despite California supposedly being some kind of socialist utopia it kind of isn't. CA is an at will state, meaning you can be fired at any time for almost any reason.

socialist utopia

That is weird to hear about California here. All I heard about California and especially LA, was that there relatively low wages, living - cost a lot, and people are being exploited on work, with all impossible crunches and bad work culture. I heard this mostly from people working in hospitals, film industry and game industry.

On the other hand, socialism and communism are often used as a cover for capitalistic authoritharism.

Once again change cares more about transgender than women being helped who have been raped.
