I think they have a place in LGBT because there's a lot of stigma attached to being ace. I mean, we're basically in a heteronormative society where we're expected to mate with the opposite sex. It's a tad bit ridiculous that now, according to their asexuality spectrum thingy, basically everyone is ace, but "real" asexual ppl (those who have no desire to have sex, not the ones who fuck every night but say they're ace because there's no "attraction") belong in LGBT, imo. Even more if they have a same sex partner.

I agree with you that lots of ppl nowadays think they're ace because they have a low sex drive, and society resents them for not being into sex. In my experience, as a woman with a high sex drive, I've encountered/dated a few guys with very low sex drives tbh, so I don't think it's necessarily a gendered thing. The problem with asexuality is that it's full of cishet quirky trenders who want to "belong" and think that not wanting to fuck every night= asexual. I think "real" ace ppl are pretty rare but they exist. Stuff like demisexual and ace spectrum are nonsense tho

I've read somewhere that the brain isn't fully developed before you turn 25. I think that if 18 yo want to go on HRT and transition, they should be allowed to, but I'm 25 and tbh my way of seeing the world and myself has drastically changed in comparison to when I was 18.

The "egg" culture is really toxic, because basically every person who questions their gender according to them is trans. I 200% support trans rights, but it should be the person's decision to transition. Ppl can be trans, but also non binary, gender non conforming, a feminine boy, a masculine girl,... Trans culture is more and more popular online, and it's possible some very young ppl might want to alter their body at 13 but will completely change their minds 4 years after. I think a bit of gatekeeping is necessary here, I mean, just look at Sweden, there has been an explosion of gender dysphoria cases recently

I disagree. Asexuality definitely exists. I don't think it's a "spectrum" like the asexual community likes to pretend, but there are legit people out there that don't feel sexual attraction. What I think is stupid is stuff like demisexual, that is basically waiting til you know the person to have sex. Shouldn't be a "sexual orientation" tbh

Do you mean, if a word is "masculin ou féminin"? Like, in English it's always "the" but in French we have "le" (masculin) and "la" (féminin). Like, it's "the book" ("le livre", masculin) and the door ("la porte", féminin).

There isn't another word, it's "le genre grammatical"

We also use "genre" to say "that kind". "Ce genre de livres"= "that kind of books".

I have no idea tbh. I think it might be older than I think, because I was already taught the difference between the 2 words like 10 years ago (I'm 25 now) but in recent years we've talked about it more and more.

I posted a thread about AHS wanting to ban r/Radical_Feminists, and someone on here decided to post a link to my reddit's profile to discredit me basically (I have sympathy for the gender critical approach, but I'm not on board with everything honestly). A lot of women were condoning this childish behaviour, so I don't feel safe posting there anymore. Even if I disagree with some of their stuff, I literally never tried to "debate" or give my opinion, because it's not a debate sub, but if I respect their opinions, I want to be respected as well and I don't want my other profiles linked. They have a very narrow minded vision of the world, no nuances is allowed, that reminds me too much of reddit. They're mad at TRA for going through post history to find terfy stuff, but apparently it's okay if it's a GC girl lol

Turns out we ain't allowed to debate on saidit either, and to be "moderate" and have "grey, in between" opinions. It's either "pick a side" or get mocked, or considered an "hypocrite" or "contradicting yourself". No place for nuances anymore on online forums. Echo chambers and digging up reddit drama are invading saidit. It's all about agreeing with the majority opinion or fucking off. We should be allowed to participate in spaces without having to 100% conform to said spaces' majority opinion. The fact is that this whole situation is way more complicated than "trans women are women therefore they should be considered the same as cis women and share every space with them" (and I thought you agree with that, since you were on r/uncensoredLGBT). I used to think that, then I decided to listen to some GC girls I talk with on reddit, and there are some issues cis women need to stand for. In my comments on LesbianActually, you can see that I'm fighting the users who say that "not dating trans women is transphobic". I'm also against pushing gender non conforming ppl to transition, and to guilt lesbians into liking "girldick". I also think that some trans women have a very misogynistic vision of womanhood. As you can see on my posts on r/truebisexuals, which don't make me very popular among TRA. I like you and your comments on r/uncensoredLGBT always made me laugh, and I value your opinion as an older feminist and LGBT woman, but tbh GC isn't only about criticizing trans ppl. There are posts on here about marriage, gender stereotypes, ... I can support trans ppl and still be against gender stereotypes and in favor of cis women to have their own spaces sometimes. I didn't agree with drop the T, right wing LGBT, true lesbians and all that stuff, but I deplore any censorship. Reddit is deeply misogynistic

I agree with Buck Angel on most points, but I don't consider myself a TRA, but a feminist and LGBT and pro LGBT woman. Do you really think I'm allowed on r/lgbt, r/bisexual and all that stuff after I posted some of my controversial opinions (not even about trans ppl)?

I will not use the term "terf" in the future tho, and I'm sorry if it hurt you or anyone on here, even if I don't consider that being a trans rights activist or a trans exclusionary radical feminist are bad things. I respect radfems and some of them are entitled to exclude trans women from their vision of feminism if they want to imo.

Also, if there are no ppl like me there is no point in having a GCdebateQT sub lmao. Considering that I got upvoted, I'm probably not the only "terfy TRA" here

They're not mutually exclusive. Everything isn't black and white you know. There are nuances about this, and I thought you girls were better than TRA who only allow one opinion. Many ppl aren't either a "terf" nor a TRA... You can support trans ppl and not want them to be assaulted/treated like shit, and still criticize some parts of the trans community. Nah, I support most trans ppl but I was never a "TRA" and I'm allowed to criticize some parts of the trans movement I disagree with. There are nuances in this whole debate lol I don't agree with some stuff on here either, but some threads are interesting, and I like knowing the 2 sides of the debate. My sub got banned for "transphobia" btw. I thought GC spaces allowed debates and slightly dissenting opinions, unlike regular feminist spaces. At least it was like that on r/truebisexuals. Also, kinda funny you of all ppl attacked me, since you were often participating on my sub. Did I disagree with most of the opinions you posted ? Yes. Did I ever censor you for having such opinions ? No. Going through my post history is kinda a TRA's thing to do btw, and I'm a bit disappointed by you tbh, thought you were kind and tolerant of other points of view. You know damn well that I'm "moderate" on the trans question. Why do you think I was on r/uncensoredLGBT ? Because my criticizing of trans ppl among other opinions on some of my posts got me banned from most spaces. I don't criticize ppl on here's opinions, but I'm allowed to participate in threads I found interesting without being totally on board with the majority. Am I still allowed to have nuances in my opinions, or do you want this to turn into a reverse TRA echo chamber?

TRA seem to spend all their lives online, so I wouldn't be surprised if some ended up being Reddit's top mods.

The gloating post on AHS about the last banwave was strangely by an user who also happens to be a mod at one of the biggest subreddits...

Also, have you noticed how so many trans women on reddit are talking about radfems' "misandry" ? And saying that feminists are hateful "misandrist bigots"? Guess they're still a bit male after all /s

I'm 25 and I used to delude myself into thinking that happiness could only be achieved through marriage. Now that I've realized how free to do anything I am, without making my life revolve around couple, I feel liberated tbh

I don't see the point of that sub. It's like another AHS echo chamber. How many more safe spaces could TRA possibly need ?

That sub is an hellhole. It's like they're bots just complimenting each other.

And spoiler, it was created by the trans women mods of r/actuallesbians, aka the woke ™ police who is entitled to go through your post history to dig up stuff and send you "terfs" messages

Most ppl who support trans women unconditionally (like I used to do) never took the time to actually go read about the implications of "unconditional support"

We can support while still being critical of some aspects, but the nuances are completely lost on them. You're either a believer or a terf

Basically, like a fellow redditor told me on r/ActuallyLesbian, even if you argue in good faith with them, don't say anything remotely transphobic, and try to compromise, they will still hate you because you don't 100% agree with the cult. So I stopped trying.

I was 100% a trans ally, and some overzealous TRA brought me to GC. They don't want allys, they want brainless sheeps without opinions or debate nuances.

TRA says that "no trans ppl actually said that ppl have to take their girldicks, it's just 4chan trolls and terf myths" then proceeds to explain how genitalia preferences are transphobic : https://www.reddit.com/r/GenderCynical/comments/hq7ged/comment/fxwpw2q

Have you guys found the one comment at the bottom with 60 upvotes that says that genitalia shouldn't matter and that you basically have to force yourself to engage in sexual activities with them since there are many "alternative ways to have sex"?

It's also funny how someone acknowledged that that attitude might reminds lesbians of straight men saying that "they need to be dicked down" yet it is quickly brushed off 🤔

They totally do

A researcher has found that of the 16 moderators of Reddit's sub for lesbians, 11 of them were biologically male transwomen. [–]Wrencer 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Also, how they say "you can't get banned for saying sex is real and that you don't want girldick, you must have said sth real offensive that you're not telling us" except that no, I've only said that, and yes, there are ppl out there denying that sex is real and saying that lesbians are "genitalia fetishists" for not wanting to suck dick. They say our preferences are okay, and that ppl forcing us to date trans ppl don't exist, yet they always manage to make us guilty of transphobia for saying that at the end

Some TRA are starting to spread the idea that using the term "femboy" (very popular on gay dudes reddit) is transphobic, or that having "femboy" characters in comics is transphobic, because they could have made them trans women instead of gender non conforming boys

Don't you know about "transmaxxing"? They're incels who become trans women just to get some left lib lesbian action.

Yesterday, someone commented : "we need to protect women from the cis men who pretend to be trans" and a TRA quickly shut them down by saying : "That simply doesn't exist". Way to go to debate
