I would be happier if that person didn' t have the issues that led them to transition in the first place.

I believe transition doesn' t help people per se anyway, it exacerbates their issues without finding a way to solve them. It' s a placebo, and one that is doing a terrible job to boot.

But even if I entertained the idea that it' s great and that it' s the best thing that ever happened to humanity, it still doesn' t change the fact that this person is posing as something they are not and wants the entire society and the legal system to carry on with that. Like sure, I am happy you feel better, but I am still not buying that what you did to yourself made you the other "gender" or sex, I am not pretending that your feelings come before material reality, that it' s done without any objective way to prove that it' s needed, useful or who should get it, I am not going to ignore the fact that many other people are taking advantage of the same thing you used for their fetish and to destroy women' s rights, LGBs and children and I am not playing along with it.

They think that by being a "woman", they are excused for the same kind of attitudes and behaviour other men display, because after all women can' t be sexist against other women. I did check, the question you asked there was different compared to the one you are asking here. There, you were talking about men, here you are talking about women, and you' re being condescending about it, not to mention you are not accepting as answers two of the biggest reasons why we do not like the thought of changing markers.

But to analyze those answers you got: out of the those three responses, one was "go for it" (and she changed her mind once you changed the question because, as she and others have explained, women and feminists putting in motion your plan are not going to get the same benefits men who identify as women get and they aren' t exactly listened to in the first place), another said that it might do something if lots of GC men did it, and the third said that it wasn' t necessary because actual trans people are already doing a good job at ridiculing themselves.

Now, first of all, as I said, you are asking two different questions, so the fact that one poster is ok with what you asked back then and thinks what you' re asking now is ridicoulous is perfectly reasonable. Second, when someone says "I have had unanimous support" in the way you have done when you replied earlier, the implication is that it' s a huge number of people, not freaking three. When three people answer to your question it means that everyone else doesn' t think it' s worth engaging in the idea, let alone putting it in motion. And third, out of those three, it wasn' t even unanimous because at least one of them wasn' t having an opinion on your plan.

I can testify that historically the majority of girls and women in the country and region where I've spent most of my life - USA, NY metro area and New England - have not seemed to have had any problems with the presence in such spaces of girls and women who in today's nomenclature would be described as "gender nonconforming" or even "mannish" in appearance and affect.

The big difference is that back then, there wasn't a flood of girls and women trying to give the impression that they were not female by taking T, growing and proudly sporting beards, getting their breasts removed and undergoing body-sculpting, wearing penis packers or getting phalloplasties.

The first show is set in the '60s and the actor plays, if I remember correctly, an educator in an orphanage: it is simply not possible that they were writing this character as trans, he was playing a woman. The same actor portrayed the owner of a saloon in the old west in The Sisters Brothers: I don' t remember much of that movie, so maybe I am mistaken, but I seem to remember that everyone was treating him as if he were female, not male identifying as female.
