GC: What would you say to someone for who considers their transition to have been a massive improvement to their life and wellbeing? by pilf in GCdebatesQT

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I would be happier if that person didn' t have the issues that led them to transition in the first place.

I believe transition doesn' t help people per se anyway, it exacerbates their issues without finding a way to solve them. It' s a placebo, and one that is doing a terrible job to boot.

But even if I entertained the idea that it' s great and that it' s the best thing that ever happened to humanity, it still doesn' t change the fact that this person is posing as something they are not and wants the entire society and the legal system to carry on with that. Like sure, I am happy you feel better, but I am still not buying that what you did to yourself made you the other "gender" or sex, I am not pretending that your feelings come before material reality, that it' s done without any objective way to prove that it' s needed, useful or who should get it, I am not going to ignore the fact that many other people are taking advantage of the same thing you used for their fetish and to destroy women' s rights, LGBs and children and I am not playing along with it.

GC women: If you had been born male, and you felt unable to get the rest of the male community to behave better, wouldn't you be ashamed and embarassed too? Possibly to the point of wanting to hide it or make it ambiguous? by citydweller1 in GCdebatesQT

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It seems to me like the males who say that they want to flee manhood because men are scum do it more because they engage in that same behaviour but do not want to be held responsible for it like other men are.

They think that by being a "woman", they are excused for the same kind of attitudes and behaviour other men display, because after all women can' t be sexist against other women. Which is a stupid argument to begin with since internalized misogyny and women hating other women exist in huge number, so even if these males were actually women, it still wouldn' t make their sexist behaviour not sexist.

But yeah, I don' t really buy that these men have devoted themselves towards bettering their community and then giving up in frustration, anger and sadness after realizing that they can' t do it: it just seems like they don' t want to be called out on their own behaviour and still want to engage in all the sexist crap they like while having some sort of loophole for doing it in an "acceptable" way.

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Most of the ones who want to "hide their sex or make it ambiguous" are not even trying to make the rest of the male community behave better.

But even if they were, most of those men "flee" the male community by engaging in misogyny, using women as shields and props, appropriating womanhood, spreading and legitimizing sexist stereotypes, changing the law to damage women and silencing/canceling/censoring women, so even if they were doing it for a somewhat understandable reason, it still isn' t something I am willing to justify.

Should GC feminists stop associating with conservatives on topics in which they’re interests are aligned? by Heimdekledi in GCdebatesQT

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

In an ideal World, we wouldn' t associate with either right wing or left wing since they' re both mysoginistic shits that hate women and they are both responsible fo the state of women' s rights, including abortion.

It doesn' t matter if we stop associating with conservatives anyway, we' re going to be called right wingers regardless of what we do and say. We were called that way before some of us started using conservative platforms, in fact part of the reason why some of us even started was that we were thrown out from "leftist" places and called nazi and alt-righters.

I don' t like associating with right wingers, but I don' t like associating with left wingers just as much nowadays.

On top of that, the USA are not the one and only country in existence: in other countries we are not having the same problems related to reproduction that Americans are having, so whatever issue you have with American GCers associating with conservatives, I don' t see how that should touch upon GCers from other places.

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

if the "go for it" reply gets 10 insightful points, then that's more than three.

Yeah, it' s 11, which is still a ridicoulous number to imply that you had huge support, and it still doesn' t change the fact that unanimous means "complete", and you didn' t have it and that the "support" you received on that thread was for something different than what you are talking about here.

Nice gas-lighting attempt though.

LOL, ok. I am totally gaslighting you by pointing out that a very small number of people agreeing to a question and then disagreeing to a different question is a perfectly legitimate position to have.

On the other hand, you 1) asked two different questions and pretended that the answer you received were to the same question, 2) said you had unanimous support when 1/3 of the people who answered actually didn' t show support, 3) talked as if 12 people were proof that you have huge support.

But I am the one who' s lying and "gaslighting"... 🙄

But now you're suggesting that it's irrelevant whether I do it or not, since I'm not female.

I didn' t know you were a man, and I don' t really care. The result of you setting in motion your "brilliant" plan is the same, and that is that it' s not going to bring any changes. If you' re a woman doing it, it won' t amount to anything because you won' t be listened to and you won' t get many benefits. If you' re a man doing it, you will just be another dude who "identifies" as a woman. Doing it to troll won' t change the fact that you will behave in the same way as all the other men who identify as women, you will just use "BUT I AM DOING IT FOR YOUR SAKE!" as an excuse.

I'm okay with women doing it & you guys are okay with men doing it. Either both sides are hypocrites, or neither side is. So which is it?

I don' t see why that is the case. Posters in this thread have already explained to you why they think your idea is ridioulous and they won' t participate, the fact that you don' t like those answers means absolutely nothing. Those are the answers, you can whine about it all you want, it' s not going to change a thing.

Either way you've got to back-pedal.

I don' t see why I should do that and I won' t. My position on this is "Do what you want since you will do it anyway, but I find the idea stupid and I don' t think it will amount to anything". There' s nothing hypocritical in it and considering that the vibe I got from those "unanimous support" comments you received were that the women in that thread thought "Meh, whatever, if it works great, otherwise things won' t change much from now." and not the "OMG, YOU' RE SO BRILLIANT! YOU' RE GOING TO SAVE FEMINISM AND WOMEN!!!!!!!!" you seem to read into their words, I don' t think there' s anything hypocritical in them either.

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I did check, the question you asked there was different compared to the one you are asking here. There, you were talking about men, here you are talking about women, and you' re being condescending about it, not to mention you are not accepting as answers two of the biggest reasons why we do not like the thought of changing markers.

But to analyze those answers you got: out of the those three responses, one was "go for it" (and she changed her mind once you changed the question because, as she and others have explained, women and feminists putting in motion your plan are not going to get the same benefits men who identify as women get and they aren' t exactly listened to in the first place), another said that it might do something if lots of GC men did it, and the third said that it wasn' t necessary because actual trans people are already doing a good job at ridiculing themselves.

Now, first of all, as I said, you are asking two different questions, so the fact that one poster is ok with what you asked back then and thinks what you' re asking now is ridicoulous is perfectly reasonable. Second, when someone says "I have had unanimous support" in the way you have done when you replied earlier, the implication is that it' s a huge number of people, not freaking three. When three people answer to your question it means that everyone else doesn' t think it' s worth engaging in the idea, let alone putting it in motion. And third, out of those three, it wasn' t even unanimous because at least one of them wasn' t having an opinion on your plan.

Literally the same users who expressed having no problem with me identifying as transgender, are now pulling out every excuse when I ask why they don't do it too.

Yeah, a user is fine with you doing something like this and is not fine with doing it herself. I am not really sure why you find this so weird: I am fine if my best friend eats oysters, but I wouldn' t touch those things with a ten foot pole. 🤷‍♀️

Given the responses you have been given in this thread, I doubt the answer was an unanimous "good for feminism".

I seriously doubt this is going to change a thing, you will just be another who will take advantage of whatever benefit this might bring and swiftly change back when this is not beneficial or funny anymore.

Recognizing the danger of loopholes isn' t going to stop assholes from doing what they want, and the government isn' t going to change just because some people do what you are suggesting: they will just file this under "some transphobes are ruining the legitimate trans community" and nothing will change. This if they even acknowledge that it is happening.

Masses doing it will just result in these people claiming that "more acceptance" drove more people to do finally come out and live their authentic selves.

I didn' t say it doesn' t fulfill the criteria, in fact I said pretty much the opposite when I said:

She was wrong in concealing because if it' s such a strong dealbreak (like sex is), then you have no excuses to intentionally lie. You are not giving the other person the information they need to give legitimate consent.

If you want something that might be considered a reason for why this doesn' t fulfill the criteria, then I guess

you have sex with someone' s body and genitals, not with someone' s concentration of melanin

could be considered one, even if I don' t necessarily think it is a justification.

I haven' t seen the movie and have no clue about how it goes or her justifications for doing it, but why would she stay with someone who is so disgusted by her? Why would she care staying with him and be afraid that he might leave? Why would she want to have sex with him knowing what he thinks of her?

That said, I don' t think race and sex are the same when it comes to sexual intercourse: it' s still wrong, but you have sex with someone' s body and genitals, not with someone' s concentration of melanin.

To encourage them to understand their beliefs and motives.

The belief and motive, in this case, is "anyone who was born with a penis is not someone I want to date".

They are not refusing to date males who identify as women because "ew, trans are gross!", they are refusing to date males regardless of their "identification" because they are not interested in dating males.

It' s not a belief or bigotry to recognize that males who identify as women are males anymore than it' s a belief or bigotry to know that a redhair who dyes their hair black is a redhead with dyed black hair.

Attraction working that way or not is irrelevant: if a lesbian needs to be told that not dating males needs to be rethought, then it clearly works like that for her.

Your insistence on Turing me into a charicature instead of actually reading what I type is a real ride.

The underlying "belief" is that lesbians do not want to date or fuck males, even if those males are all dressed in pink and call themselves ladies.

NOBODY has any right to be considered attractive or be included in anyone' s dating pools. If lesbians should rethink their "bigotry" about not wanting to fuck males who disguise themselves as women, then they should also rethink their "bigotry" in not wanting to fuck males who do not disguise themselves as women.

Both categories have the same reason for being turned down by lesbians, so why is it that in one case it' s ok but in the other it' s an unthinkable act of exclusione and pettiness as if those males are owed a chance?

Actually, I only hate the ones who think it' s their duty to tell someone that they should change their "prejudiced" belief that males who identify as women are men, AGPs and abusers, but being trans isn' t what makes me hate them. It' s not my fault that this covers pretty much the 85% of you, though. And while you weren' t the catalyst, you sure as hell contributed a good 60%.

Some lesbians include trans women in their dating pools.

Lesbian = homosexual female. If you recognize that sex and gender are different as you keep saying, you should also recognize that homosexual people are same sex attracted.

they are asking you to examine your underlying beliefs to see if they are bigoted

The goal of doing that is to "convince" them to change their behaviour.

You are ridicoulous, dishonest and plain evil if you think that "lesbians should second guess the reasont why they don' t want to suck dicks" is a harmless thing done for the greater good instead of an attempt to convertion therapy so that some dicks can be sucked more easily.

I don' t know why I was expecting better, my bad. You are absolutely a terrible person. And the nerve of you to tell me that it' s fucked up to take away lesbians' s agency when you support this bullshit with the usual "nobody is telling you to suck dicks, you just deserve to die in a fire if you don' t".

It' s invasive as fuck to have strangers telling you "you should rethink about the people you don' t want to fuck", especially if the people who tell you that are part of the category you are turning down.

These people are not telling anyone that they should rethink their decision to not date trans people out of goodness or desire to destroy bigotry, they are doing it because lesbians' s refusal means that they are told no more often than yes, and this leads to them not getting laid.

What' s so hard to understand in "who I decide to fuck is not your business"?

My issue with this is that there are people who think it' s their responsibility and duty to tell other people to "rethink" the reasons why they don' t want to fuck someone. It' s none of their business who a lesbian spreads her legs for. It' s not a fundamentalist Christian' s when they think that the moral thing to do is to suppress homosexual urges for the greater good, and it' s not a TRA' s when they think that the moral thing to do is to force yourself to believe something you don' t believe in (and consequently sexually behave accordingly) for the greater good.

As to the rest we are males, just not men.

Which is why I used "males", because I know how much you like your semantic games.

Homosexuality is about sex, male/female. Lesbians are homosexual females, which means that they do not want to date males. So whether they think males who identify as women are women or not is completely irrelevant, because the issue is not their identity or their womanhood, it' s their sex.

I really have no word to describe just how violently disgusted I am by the idea that there are people who think that rape victims have any obligation towards their rapists. Or that they need to put themselves even in potential more danger because the poor souls need help.

And here I thought that forcing female rape victims to call their trans rapist "she" was bad: this is even worse. Ugh.

But yeah, of course, dehumanization is only something important when it' s done to the "right" people and for the "right" reasons. Calling out a rape victim for trying to save herself from her rapist, on the other hand, is perfectly fine.

I suspect that OP had a fight with some GCer who wasn' t fine with her ideas and was hoping that we were all going to back her up. I am happy to see that this was not the case.

To me it' s an all or nothing situations: boundaries need to be respected. It would be supremely hypocritical for me to make it the biggest reason why I want sex segregated spaces while at the same time being perfectly ok with not respecting other people' s. If sex is important, then it' s important for everyone, not just for us. Of course there are power imbalances, but working on that doesn' t have to be about destroying other people' s boundaries.

OP' s way of dealing with this is frankly illogical and obnoxious to me.

Sex segregated spaces don' t exist just because of potential assault. They exist also because men and women have different bodies. Urinals are in the open, men might not want to show their dicks to someone who doesn' t have a dick, just like we, more often than not, do not want to clean our menstruation cup around men.

Dignity and privacy are things that everyone should have, not just women. You might not care, but by not caring and by acting like it doesn' t matter because you had it rough so you enjoy taking it out on the ones you don' t like or envy for their position, you are behaving no better than any TRA who uses the same arguments against us.

They are not just wearing make-up, colorful clothes and dresses, though, they are doing all of that while playing a woman persona.

If they were just men in dresses and make-up it would be one thing, but they get women stage names, use female pronouns and, more often than not, recreate a pretty specific bitchy and shallow stereotype of a woman.

Over everything that regards gender. See the list I made.

Someone with a neurological sex that doesnt match their assigned sex at birth

Once we have a way to prove, objectively and physically, that this is a thing, I will be happy to call them trans if that' s going to be the designation that is assigned to them.

It still doesn' t make them members of the other sex as far as I am concerned: a male with a neurological female sex (aka, ladybrain), would be a male with female brain, not a woman, a female with neurological male sex (aka, a gentbrain), would be a female with a male brain, not a man.

It doesn' t matter one bit to me what it is the thing that makes someone qualify as trans, they are still their biological sex and that takes precedence over everything as far as I am concerned. Transitioning, whatever it' s made up of (gender identity, suffering from dysphoria, getting hormones and surgery, presentation, pronouns, behaviour, preferences, your level of passing, whatever rocks your boat), doesn' t make someone more "valid" as the other sex.

What do you and the QT community think makes someone trans? Because the answer changes every week according to what narrative seems to be the more beneficial at the moment.

It not being the purpose of the thread doesn' t mean that it should be ignored, especially when it' s likely the main reason why women who present as men are kicked out of women' s spaces and also, probably, why OP has asked the question to begin with trying to use it as a gotcha.

Also, yes, transvestitism isn' t a new concept, but there is a huge difference between a bunch of men doing it and being shamed/mocked for it, not to mention having the law not on their side if they decided to use women' s spaces, and lots of men doing it and being celebrated and legally protected for it in the form of being allowed to use women' s spaces.

I can testify that historically the majority of girls and women in the country and region where I've spent most of my life - USA, NY metro area and New England - have not seemed to have had any problems with the presence in such spaces of girls and women who in today's nomenclature would be described as "gender nonconforming" or even "mannish" in appearance and affect.

The big difference is that back then, there wasn't a flood of girls and women trying to give the impression that they were not female by taking T, growing and proudly sporting beards, getting their breasts removed and undergoing body-sculpting, wearing penis packers or getting phalloplasties.

No, the big difference was that there wasn' t a flood of guys trying to give the impression that they were women. I think that most of the issues towards women who "present" as men or simply aren' t feminine come from the fact that they are worried that those women are, in fact, men. Alternatively, it can be a question of finding hypocrisy unbearable: think of that woman in the Olympics who "identify" as nonbinary and still competes in women' s leagues.

[–]Omina_Sentenziosa 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much. I think there could still be cases in which some women would wonder why "a man" is in a women' s bathroom, but if we all had the certainty that only females were allowed in women' s spaces, then not only most of those complainers would probably stop having issues, but also, they would be silenced immediately because those male-presenting-women would have the same rights as them to be there.

As long as we allow sanctioned lies on official documents, problems will keep happening.

Because those stories were told in the most realistic way possible, as I and many others have already told you multiple times.

If I am watching a WWII movie made like "Saving Private Ryan" and they are talking about concentration camps, I don' t imagine that they are talking about clown schools just because I don' t want to deal with how horribly Jewish people were treated in that period of time.

Unless it' s specifically stated that in this super-realistic and dramatic WWII movie Jewish people had a different fate than the one they had in reality, there is no reason to think that the reality of that narrative universe is different from the real one.

Agreed. The categories are sex based, if you' re male, you shouldn' t compete, regardless of identification, advantage, transition, testosterone or whatever the fuck else is going to be used tomorrow to "prove" that men can be women if they whine hard enough.

It' s just beyond gross: women had to fight to get to the point of being able to compete in official sport events as they were barred from doing it. And they were barred because they were female, not because of their presentation, clothes, pronouns or identity.

As for the advantage, I don' t see why there should be such disparity in rules between women and trans women if they belong to the same category. Women don' t have different rules when it comes to, say, testosterone, the only "women" who need more elasticity are the ones who aren' t women at all. Why is it that trans women (and people like Caster Semenya) need more elastic rules to compete as a standard? Could it be that their bodies are different from women' s? Because if that' s the case, they are different enough to warrant a completely different division.

The fictional world described in both those project was made as realistic as possible. They weren' t done even in "A Knight' s Tale" style, the goal was to tell a story that described fictional events but in the most realistic way possible.

But sure go for it, old west towns had trans people in power of saloons and cowboys and delinquents all respected gender identity and pronouns, and in the '60s the USA were so open minded that, despite Stonewall not happening yet, trans women were put in charge of the education of children, nobody considered them perverts and wine spilled from fountains.

If it’s not discussed it is possible. Lilly Elbe in the 30’s. Jorgensen in the 50’s. Unlikely certainly but not impossible. You assume the character isn’t trans.

I am not denying they existed, I am denying that they would have had the chance to have that particular job. Given how much you keep complaining that coming out as trans even now is a death sentence for your career, you should understand that in the '60s things were even worse. It' s simply not possible that in the '60s transexxuals, who at the time were considered pervert deviants (maybe even in the law, but definitelly on a social level), would have been put in a position of authority and caring towards children.

And how does one treat a woman as opposed to a trans woman exactly?

You think in the old west people would have referred to a male as she and madam? And I mean for real, not with the intent of mocking him? If the character had been trans, NOBODY would have respected his preferred pronouns and identity in that period or setting. The character is referred to as a woman and she because the actor is playing a female.

It' s a ridicoulous concept. If the story had given the slightest hint that it takes place in some kind of parallel universe, then it would be another thing entirely.

But we are talking about realistic and historical settings that, in Mask' s mind, diverge from reality in one single element, which is that everyone respects the fact that trans women are women.

Fiction can do it, it's not required to do it, and it doesn't do it in lots if not most cases anyway.

Unless it' s specifically stated, there' s no reason to believe that the ultra-realistic depiction of reality in a project took ONE single deviation from reality in the form of making cowboys TRAs. And let' s not even talk about The Queen' s Gambit: the entirety of that series has the not so subtle undertone of having women fighting to be taken seriously in a man' s activity. So you are saying that in that reality, trans women, by accomplishing what they want the most (being considered women) are more respected than women by society? Sounds like trans privilege, I guess.

That' s just a film you are making up in your mind because you want it to be like that.

The first show is set in the '60s and the actor plays, if I remember correctly, an educator in an orphanage: it is simply not possible that they were writing this character as trans, he was playing a woman. The same actor portrayed the owner of a saloon in the old west in The Sisters Brothers: I don' t remember much of that movie, so maybe I am mistaken, but I seem to remember that everyone was treating him as if he were female, not male identifying as female. I seriously doubt people would have treated a trans person like that in the old west.

The second actor plays a pregnant woman in that film.

They don' t want to be considered a fetish, and that' s what they would be if they went after perverts. The problem is that they are fetishizing regular people in the same way perverts fetishize them.

They don' t care about people' s boundaries and consent, they just want to have their sexual "needs" satisfied, and if that means that someone else has to be violated, so be it.

That safety excuse has never sounded not ridicoulous to me: I might understand being lonely, but it makes no sense to put yourself in a potentially dangerous situation just because you can' t stand not having sex.

Maybe some of them are really that desperate for human contact, but it sounds to me that it' s something they say in order to justify what they do more often than not. The reality, I think, is that most of them know that if they were upfront about their status, the 99,9% of people would turn them down and only perverts and few others would remain interested, but since they feel entitled to have sex, they refuse to disclose and hope that the victim doesn' t realize what is going on long enough to do what they want.

I doubt it is, but even if it were, the issue it is raising is still the same.

If women' s spaces allow males who identify as women, then it means that a locker room or a nudist spa for women allow males and their penis on display as well.

TRAs have said so themselves, "women" with a penis belong in women' s spaces, and that includes places like this. Then, when that didn' t gather the response they wanted, they started claiming that "it never happened". So are they saying that they aren' t supporting the idea that someone with a penis should be allowed in women' s spaces? Sounds pretty transphobic against the most oppressed category that ever exist and will ever exist to me...

Also, Slate has been kissing trans asses for a while, I wouldn' t trust them on anything remotely involving that topic,

Does that mean one day there might be ways to change a human's sex with the use of crispr and genetic engineering in laboratory, before or after a zygote is produced? That "male pregnancy" might be possible? That there might be neopenises that look, feel and function exactly like natural penises? Or neovaginas that look, feel and function exactly like natural vaginas?

Maybe in a very distant future it will be possible, I have no clue what progress will bring. But it' s not going to be possible within our lifetimes, so I don' t see why we should waste time on it now. Leave it to the people who will live when/if that becomes a real possibility.

Is there a reason why a neopenis that looks, feels, and functions exactly like natural penises can not be considered a real penis? Or a neovagina that looks, feels, and functions exactly like natural vaginas can not be considered a real vagina? Despite doing the same things?

If it' s created in a laboratory by humans instead of naturally occurring, then it will always be an artificial replacement, even if it does exactly the same things that a real penis/vagina does.

But as my first paragraph says, this is not what is happening right now given that neither "neopenises" nor "neovaginas" function/look like the real thing.

Wouldn't a laboratory meat that tastes, looks, feels and functions exactly like natural meat be considered real meat?

No, it would be laboratory-made meat. Even if it manages to do everything real meat does, it would still be an artificial approximation. A good one perhaps, but an approximation nonetheless.

Long story short: if one day we will manage to actually change sex (unlikely, but let' s say it will be done), the people who will do it will still be people who were born one way and then changed. If that is going to actually happen, there will probably be different standards when it comes to categorize people based on sex.

I don' t care if they are happy or not, especially if my happiness has to die for their sake.

And if my refusal to have sex with someone comes indeed from bigotry, it' s not going to go away just because I force myself to spread my legs. In fact, I think it would become worse. I would still be a "bigot" because I would still not want to have sex with them, I would just do what is socially acceptable instead of what I want.

That' s true, but I don' t think it' s the case of this particular poster, to be honest. It seems like they are genuinely convinced that biological sex is an afterthought when gender is involved. This is one of the few TRAs I have dealt with that I am convinced actually believe that trans people are what they identify as, even on a sex level.

They also seem to not understand that not considering yourself something doesn' t mean you aren' t that something.

A person who is attracted to both sexes and is willing to have sex with people of both sexes is bisexual even if the people of one of those sexes do everything they can to disguise themselves as the other sex.

And at this point, the poster would just go "but trans men are males!" because that' s their gimmick.

Don' t waste time trying to reason with them.

That' s a good point.

Like for many other questions, I think validation plays a strong role.

I know it' s because of that, and it' s not necessarily something limited to trans people by the way. I just don' t understand that state of mind, thankfully.

And the second you ask if they are trans, you are a transphobe anyway, because if you refuse to have sex after finding out then you are a bigot. Not to mention asking might be triggering for them anyway.

Should trans people disclose?

Yes.

Why or why not?

Because I think people have the right to know if the body part they are going to have in their mouth/vagina or the body part they are going to stick their penis in is real or the result of surgery or if it is artificial. Long story short, I want to know if the fallic thing I am sucking on is made of arm skin or it' s the legitimate thing.

And if so, when (and why then)?

The second there is talk about dating with the prospect of sexual intercourse: there' s no point in wasting your time with someone who doesn' t want to have sex with you, and there is no point in wasting someone else' s time if sex is something you both want and one of you doesn' t want to do it.

Is it a form of rape, sexual assault, or violation to not disclose? If so why and at what point (date? Kiss? Sex?)? If not, why not?

Yes, it is a form of sexual assault and violation because the person who doesn' t know cannot make an informed decision.

Any kind of sexual intercourse is a sexual violation if you don' t disclose your sex. Maybe an argument can be made for kisses, I don' t know if I would make that argument, but I can understand why that can be considered muddy. Anything else is a sexual assault.

Dating? I think it' s a potential waste of time, but it' s not a sexual assault.

Is not disclosing sex comparable to not disclosing race, religion, marital status etc? Why or why not?

No: while I do think that those should be disclosed if they are not obvious or if the situation makes it obvious that it' s important for the other person (for example, if you know the person you are going out with only dates latin people regardless of their skin colour, and you let her think that you are one, you are deceiving them), and that lying about them is deception, the things that are being lied on are not sexual in nature. I don' t have sex with someone through their ethnicity, religious beliefs or marriage, I am having sex with someone through their genitals.

Is it safer for trans people to disclose or not to? Why or why not?

If you are so worried about being attacked for being trans, tell the person you are seeing that you are trans in public so that there are fewer chances that that person might become violent.

I truly do not understand the argument that some trans people make about not wanting to disclose because it' s dangerous and then still sleeping with that person: why would anyone want to have sex with someone they might consider capable of killing them for what they are? Why would anyone want to have sex with someone who could be completely disgusted by them?

I don' t think those who make those comments are conservatives: I think they are leftists who are realizing that places like the Daily Mail are the only places where they can voice certain thoughts without being attacked, but they still have the conditioning of "you are a nazi if you don' t respect them".

I don' t remember ever dreaming about having sex.

I don' t know what sex I am in the dreams I make, I never check and it' s never the topic of the dream.

Whatever the case, I am not really sure why this is important. It' s a dream, I dreamt about my city being turned into a war zone and I had to fight to reach a stationary shop to buy a dozen of ring binders once, I don' t think it needs to be taken literally or be considered something more than synapses going nuts.

After what happened, it seems to me that any concession I would make in order to be "friendly or civil" with trans people would be used against me. That is definitely what happened with pronouns, names, labels and spaces, and I am frankly tired of working for their sake when everything I would get in return wouldn' t be in any way beneficial or pleasant for ME.

I am never going to "respect what someone wants to be called or referred to as" if it goes against reality or if doing it validates beliefs and feelings I do not share, especially if they bring way more problems than they solve. And given that doing that is what brought us here, there' s no way I am going to fall for that again just to be screwed over again in the future.

I don' t want to be friends again and I don' t want a "better relationship", I want for us to be left alone.

This is easily the fortieth time someone has asked us all to prove that humans are sexed if any other life form has ever procreated differently to the mammal sex binary.

My favourite was when the poster used mushrooms to make the same point.

That' s why when humans walk, we need to wear wicker baskets instead of underwear, so that we can spread our spores!

I' ll wait for them to show me a HUMAN third gamete and a HUMAN able to produce it to start believing those "scientists" about how there are infinite sexes in HUMANS.

Until then, I don' t give a damn about how bees reproduce given that humans aren' t bees.

It' s very hard to regain someone' s trust after you shredded it to pieces. It' s not impossible, but I cannot imagine a way in which it could be done. Considering the past few years, I would see any change in the trans community as something that is done either to keep us calm for a while so that they can strike the final blow or as something that they are forcing themselves to do in order to save themselves from a backlash. Not because they think it' s right, not because they actually believe it and not because they give a damn about anyone besides themselves.

I am tired of feeling like an idiot for trusting people and then be treated as if they were telling me "I can' t believe you braindead idiot fell for it again!" when they inevitably do it once more. Better safe than sorry.
