The terminology is meant to detach women from the lived experiences of their bodies and uniquely female functions, and effectively render the word 'woman' meaningless. For that reason it's offensive. I also feel it's a step towards the commodification of women's bodies.

His theories are pseudoscientific nonsense, and he's blaming 'transphobes' for that. It sounds like his belief system has developed from an immersion in gaming/ fantasy. I always wonder about the families of people like this. What must it be like for them?

Agree or disagree, what you said isn't 'hate'. It's the kind of topic that can and should be addressed with open discussion.

The real tragedy is that so many people, particularly of the younger generation, have become accustomed to labelling everything 'hate' and seeing free speech as a privilege rather than a default value.

I suspect 'dysphoria' is now a catch-all for any negative feeling that someone who identifies as trans experiences. I've had body image issues my whole life and the struggle of finding clothes that made me look decent was real. That has nothing to do with 'gender identity', though I suppose if I were growing up in this messed up era I might have framed it as such.

It's concerning to me that trans people are being conditioned to feel entitled to handouts. Life will not go well for them.

It's time to acknowledge that intersectionality and critical theories are bad for women. Critical race theory has been trying to blame white women for male violence for some time. In Ottawa, there was an incident a while back in which a mentally ill black man was arrested after sexually assaulting women in a coffee shop. He died during the violent arrest. The coffee shop took all kinds of shit for calling the police, as though they were wrong for calling and it was their fault he died. Women are now expected to be mindful of their assailant's wellbeing when they are assaulted, much the way we're being expected to defer our expectations of safety, privacy and equal participation in society in favour of males' emotional 'needs'.

Twitter at least has a large number of gender critical users, even if they're subject to frequent and arbitrary bans. Reddit is an echochamber manipulated by the type of people who associate with Aimee Challenor. It has been purged of all gender critical and female-focused content, with the exception of r/detrans. I stumbled across a thread referencing Marion Miller, and it was a shit show. People saying things like 'TERFS are trying to gatekeep the word 'woman'. Fuck them', and the like.

I've given up on Reddit for as a platform for free speech. I only hope someone can one day expose what's going on behind the scenes to make it the pedo paradise it has become.

Do people with DSDs even want to be a part of this 'community'? I never see rainbow groups doing anything to advance the interests of intersex people or demonstrate any understanding of what intersex/ DSD means. They seem solely concerned with using the existence of DSDs to advance the belief that biological sex isn't real, or is a spectrum. Weird to give 'intersex' such prominence on the flag when they have no real representation within the community.

Stonewall's foul-ups are becoming too big to ignore. Now that the courts are calling out Stonewall's actions with tangible evidence, TRAs can no longer claim that criticism of Stonewall is ideologically based, or 'bigotry'. Between this, and the Kiera Bell case, gender ideology and radical transactivism is being dragged into the sunlight, and the mainstream public aren't going to like it.

[–]Femaleisnthateful 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think of 'pansexuality' as being one of the weapons queer theory uses to deconstruct 'cisheteronormativity' (my spellcheck doesn't like that one, either). Notice how every young female celebrity is coming out as 'pan'? Jojo Siwa was a lesbian for 5 minutes before declaring she was 'pan'. She's 17.

Moreoever, 'pansexuality' seems to be the sexual undergirding of 'polyamory', which queer theory is pushing hard to legitimize as an identity. I see polyamory as part of a men's sexual rights movement, since the women I know who get involved in this always seem to have a history of low self-esteem and relationship trauma, and seem to be trying to force themselves to make it work and pretend they like it. I never see one female with multiple males in these relationships; it's always the other way round.

Anyway, I'm off on a tangent, but yes, I agree with you that pansexuality is really about delegitimizing sex-based identities and sexual orientation, and thereby breaking down boundaries.

It reads like a list of poorly conceived demands. It's not even internally consistent.

Ask people their pronouns, but be careful not to 'out' them by asking. Advocate for trans people, but don't speak over them. Treat them like a mentally defective child that needs constant hand-holding, but also respect that they're just normal human beings.

Unsurprisingly, most of it revolves around a list of 'don'ts'. Don't question that trans women are women. Don't ask trans people questions. Don't question prostitution. Don't talk to TERFs because you have nothing to learn from them. #54 is particularly ominous.

Then on to the activism. Control your language and that of everyone around you. Validate trans people constantly. Tell them how great they look. Give them money (this seems to come up frequently). Recognize that their needs are more important than yours.

Seriously, if I knew nothing about trans people, this would turn me off completely. So much 'anti-cis' narrative and outright dismissal of the rights of anyone who isn't trans identified. Outright telling the reader to 'fuck off'. Way to build alliances. Oh wait, it's not about 'building bridges' - it's about social and political domination.

As I understand it, homosexual transexualism ("so gay they went girl") has always been around. This is what transactivists often refer to as 'third genders' in southeast Asia and other cultures. They always gloss over the fact that these 'third genders' arise out of cultures which have rigid gender roles and are homophobic.

I have yet to see evidence of AGP transexualism practiced or endorsed anywhere else in the world. This appears to be a distinctly western phenomenon.

I think there's a valid argument against assisted reproductive technology which commercializes womens' bodies (surrogacy) and/or commercializes children. I remember when it was considered a right for children to know their biological heritage, hence the opening of adoption records. We've evolved into a society in which a fertilized egg can be created from anonymous sperm and egg donors, gestated by a woman who will not be a part of that child's life, and raised as a Theybie by a MaPa. Not all change is progress.

I wish these idiots would realize that they're just making themselves look crazy. Seriously, the largest health crisis in a generation and they're whining about people assuming they're female when they ostensibly look female and have a female name?

Biological sex matters. It affects the presentation of disease, efficacy and dosage of medications. Gender identity is 100% irrelevant to everything but their own feelings. These narcissists are undermining public health efforts (and possibly their own wellbeing) by refusing to provide accurate information.

I thought the 'A' was for 'asexual'. Or 'allies'.

But yeah, it's ridiculous to see people (mainly men, lets face it) framing their sexual choices as an immutable sexual orientation. The worst part is, people are buying it. I was browsing Reddit the other day and some woman was complaining about how she put up with her boyfriend's cheating because she thought he was 'poly'. Then he replaced her with the other woman and she was SHOCKED!

Christ, you're not 'oppressed' just because people won't endorse sexual behaviour that objectifies others.

I highly doubt that this AGP was a stand-up guy before he suddenly transitioned. Plus, everyone tells them that it's their job to support their spouse or else they're an evil TrANsPhObE. This seems to be pretty standard for AGP males. They are conditioned to believe that their 'dysphoria' places them higher on the oppression totem pole than 'cis women' and that therefore their emotional needs are the priority. I can only imagine what this person is doing on Facebag, but I assume it involves emotionally abusing women online in much the same way as he is doing to his wife. It's worth noting that this is yet another example of a patient whose emotional state and general functionality decline after identifying as trans. So much for transition being 'life-saving'.

I bookmarked that; really interesting. I had to keep reminding myself that it was from 1979. I can only imagine what those psychologists and surgeons would say about the current state of things.

It's interesting to see how far the narrative has changed, from tempering expectations and acknowledging that surgery won't change anything about a patient's internal state, to claiming that surgical interventions are 'life-saving'.

It's also worth noting how the screening criteria for surgeries has been undermined. It seems that there was once a stringent screening process, with an expectation that a person life successfully in the opposite sex role for 1-2 years before surgery. That's now gone.

Your sense of self shouldn't require emotional labour from your children. The irony of the trans movement proclaiming 'protect trans children', while acting like their own children exist to validate them.

So much wrong with this. Muslim is a higher axis of oppression than Jew. Somebody skipped over some significant moments in 20th century history. I guess that's how you end up with Nazi=Trump supporter.

And Black is a higher axis of oppression than Native American. I guess this creator thinks the entire world is like the U.S. Here in Canada, we never had institutionalized slavery or Jim Crow laws. We did have systemic human rights violations against Native Americans, culminating in the Sixties Scoop and the abusive residential school system. Critical race theory assumes that the social conditions of the U.S. are an intrinsic reality everywhere.

Ah Jessie Gender. Stay in your lane, buddy. You don't understand what 'gender critical' means.

I skimmed the video (I confess I can't tolerate sitting through the whole thing). His arguments hinge on strawman claims that the definition of 'woman' as a biological sex class conflates women with their reproductive function.

The most frustrating part of this mastubatorial video is when Jessie quotes JK Rowlings' description of the sex-based violent threats she has received for no reason, and then accuses her of 'perpetuating harm' and participating in a 'cycle of harrassment'. There's no 'cycle', Jessie. Show us where JK Rowling ever threatened trans people with harm. The threats and censure are coming from one side only.

Jessie has recently quit his 'real-world' job and is producing YouTube content fulltime now. He's producing more and more content focused on 'TERFS' and specifically women (JK Rowling, Abigail Shrier). His arguments are nonsense, but he has a loyal following of syncophants for validation. I do wonder what he'll do in 5 years time when the gender bubble bursts.

LOL isn't it funny how the gender training is so predictable any of us could teach it ourselves?

The trans mental health thing jumps out at me as the most glaring and internally inconsistent. There are more trans people than ever before because of public acceptance, but also half of them try to kill themselves and their life expectancy is abysmally short (did 'they' explain why)? I don't recall the LGB community being this dysfunctional, despite experiencing overt discrimination and violence.

I don't have experience with this training myself, but I'm mentally steeling myself for when I will have to. I think the best way forward, since we're familiar with all the arguments, is to come prepared with research notes which debunk the 'facts' put forward in the training.

I would have liked to ask 'them' what criteria or characteristics define a person as a specific 'gender identity'. It slays me that these people rail against the 'gender binary' while deliberately reinforcing it.
