When people are so desperate to call a celebrity a paedo that they inadvertently call for adult women to be treated like children. by ClassroomPast6178 in TumblrInAction

Having been immersed in child protection for more than a decade, it’s quite interesting to see child protection language entering common usage and then being used by women about adult women.

I do wonder if it is also to do with there being a generation of adults now that have grown up in the modern child protection environment and have had all risk and challenges managed for them rather than having to manage and mitigate it for themselves.

So instead of thinking “that dark alleyway isn’t a safe choice at 2am, I’ll take the longer but well-lit public road”, it becomes “there should be someone to protect me as I walk down this dark alleyway at 2am and don’t you dare say otherwise as that’s victim-blaming”.

It’s sort of like a kid bumbling around knowing that their parents will be there to protect them from any harm. The sorts of things we used to learn going to and from school on our own and out with friends in the evenings, getting into scrapes and situations and dealing with it ourselves.

The LGBTqAXyZ person in that story complaining that it wasn’t sincere was hilarious. It is proof that nothing is good enough and any attempt to accommodate is ignored. It’s not limited to the LGBTQiCXUTUV, the race grifters do it too. It seems to be a feature of all the critical social justice movements, demand change but when some effort is made, declare it either not enough or demand more.

It really triggers my oppositional defiance.

It’s so fucked up.

“Mummy, I want to wear dresses.”

“No.”

Job done, child moves on to the next stupid shit they fixate on. It’s remarkable how quickly children will take a firm no and get over it and I’d be willing to bribe them to drop the dress shit.

Not too worried about toys, my cousin loved his play kitchen and vacuum cleaner and turned out completely fine, but social transition, which is what crossdressing is, is completely different.

Kinda my point.

In the rush to label men as predators people are robbing above-the-age-of-consent women of their agency.

They’ve been doing it to Leonardo Dicaprio for ages, making out that his dating of <25-year olds is some kind of indication that he’s a predator. (He might be, but not just because he dates young women).

Oh, I have no problem with the idea that the infantilisation of people is a bipartisan effort.

I was a DnD player in the 80s and remember the religious right losing their minds over it, along with “video nasties” (essentially schlocky gory horror films that the Tory press disapproved of).

It’s just funny to me that currently the “my body my choice” crowd are so quick to shout “but not that choice” at women doing things they disapprove of.

A lot of the arguments I see from progressives are actually so similar to arguments made by Mary Whitehouse (think older British church lady complaining about sex and violence on TV and movies). They’ve become the censors we used to hate but they’re right because they’re doing it for progressive reasons and not Jesus.

The number of people, particularly young white women, calling men who date, above-the-age-of-consent, young women paedophiles is hilarious because the implication is that adult women should be treated like children.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised to see “progressive” women calling for women to wear burkas and abeyas within 2 years and acting like it’s the progressive thing to do.

Edit: And you know these are the same people who say that 13 year old girls can consent to puberty blockers and double mastectomies.

Wouldn’t be surprised if the civil service had bought a training package from Skill Boosters though.

Looks like they have the standard list of workplace training videos that employers want to have so that they can tick all the EO employers requirements and legal compliance requirements.

The trouble for this Troon narrative is that the Nazis apparently loved a bit of cross-dressing, they loved it enough that there’s a coffee table photography book of male Nazi officers dressed in women’s clothing. Are they really trying to say transvestites were really transgender? I know Eddie Izzard is using troonery to cover for his cross-dressing fetish, but is this now a concerted effort to alter history?

Not women, black women, not transwomen, black transwomen and not non-binary genderspecials, black non-binary genderspecials.

So what’s that, about 4-5% of the US population?

I’d like to see the reasoning behind that bold claim, what services, products, sacrifices are they making that are so important to the democratic life of the US? (Other than voting en bloc for the Democrats, of course).

I mean I’m fairly sure the guys who patrol the power transmission lines and repair faults contribute more to the life of the US than any of those groups and get less appreciation. If those guys walked off the job I reckon you’ve got about 6 months before the first act of cannibalism. Would anyone even notice if all the transwomen, black and white, disappeared for a year?

It’s not like “no change” is a positive result. If a medication has no effect then you shouldn’t be prescribing it. Combined with the data that they had that 90 percent or so children with gender dysphoria that weren’t prescribed blockers had their gd resolve by the time they were 18, compared with 100 percent of children prescribed blockers going onto cross-sex hormones. Thats compelling evidence that puberty is the cure for children with gender dysphoria and that puberty blockers have a net negative effect.

However, I think the real issue that this exposes is that the pro-trans side doesn’t want to cure childhood gender dysphoria because if it’s curable then it can’t be used as cover for the middle-aged AGPs.

Small sample size, different analysis technique with different criteria and wonky data to begin with.

This sort of study is really only good for deciding whether to conduct a larger study. In this case it should raise some concerns and if they were to proceed with a larger study I suspect their ethics board/institutional review board/research ethics committee would require them to be very careful in recording the mental health data, not just asking children whether they felt better but using validated tools and coding techniques.

I did a study looking at mental health during a specific type of radiotherapy for a particular cancer and we had validated tools to capture the data, but we also had a sample size of about 180 patients and it was a very rare cancer, so their sample size and study design is pitiful.

Sitting around taking pride in your ancestors accomplishments is pretty lame though. I think it's great to learn about and awknoledge the accomplishments of those who came before us but it's utterly retarded to go sit around and be like "see those rocks over there! My ancient relative whom I don't even know the name of put those up! I'm so proud of my heritage!"

You have a point with regards to the ancient monuments like Stonehenge, the creators of which are unknown as is its purpose. But there are people in the UK who have family histories that go back a thousand-plus years and I suspect that rather than pride, as such, they derive some value in the connection it gives them to the past.

The trouble I see with this hotep stuff is that it is telling black children they belong through some ancestral right rather than being an equal member of society that requires no ancestral ties to treated equally and at the same time accuses the non-black people of being invaders and colonisers in their own country - essentially reducing white people to homeless oppressors who have no right to claim an ancestral home and must always apologise for existing. I shall be keeping my eye out for this book in the schools I visit and will have words with any school librarians if I find it, just as I would if I found other alternative history books like Von Daniken or Graham Hancock.

Stonehenge was built by black people, a new children's history book has claimed.

Readers of Brilliant Black British History, by the Nigerian-born British author Atinuke, are told the neolithic monument in Wiltshire was built while Britain was a 'black country'.

The book, which is aimed at children aged seven and above, also tells readers that 'every single British person comes from a migrant' and that the 'very first Britons were black'.

The introduction adds that Britain has been 'mostly a white country for a lot less time than it has been mostly a black country'.

Atinuke also claims that the remains of the 10,000-year-old Cheddar Man belonged to someone who had 'skin as dark as dark can be'.

The stupid thing is, even if it were true, which it isn’t, what does that have to do with the black population today who are overwhelmingly the result of post-war immigration? This is like some white guys taking pride in the actions of the Beaker People.

Lauren Harries claimed Russell Brand 'used her for sex' during their alleged fling.

The antiques expert, 45, has long claimed she enjoyed a dalliance with the defiant comic, 48, who is in the midst of a sex scandal after a Dispatches exposé uncovered allegations of misconduct, rape and sexual assault - all of which he denies.

Comments on their 'six-month relationship', which Brand has always staunchly dismissed, have now resurfaced with Lauren detailing his upsetting treatment.

She said: 'I don't think Russell wanted to be seen with me, so we didn't go out. We had our moments, but he can't admit to it. It was going on for six months at least. Let's just say he liked the bedroom department, but that was all I was good for.'

In reference to her rise to fame as a child antiques expert on Terry Wogan's talk show, Brand has said: 'Lauren's claims are as fraudulent as her evaluation of Ming vases on Wogan. And before she starts, I also have not had sex with a Ming vase or Wogan.'

That’s not how it works though. WPATH is recognised as “the experts” so a doctor following WPATH would be able to say they were following the guidance they were given by the experts. And if you’re following the accepted expert guidance, you’re not committing malpractice.

Guidance can change as evidence builds, which is why the various European health services have moved away from treating children with puberty blockers but even they follow WPATH for adults currently. When the evidence alters guidance the doctors still haven’t committed malpractice just like doctors who performed lobotomies in good faith didn’t. It’s the nature of medicine.

I think we may see a body of evidence build and this will alter guidance, this will then, combined with a passing of the fad, cause a massive decrease in the numbers of troons and especially troonettes.

It’ll be difficult to win a malpractice suit as the doctors can claim they were following best practice by following the WPATH guidelines. I suspect that that’s why WPATH exists at all.

The people who win cases will be the ones who show that doctors and psychologists did things they shouldn’t have done, like recording a gender dysphoria diagnosis when none existed.

They might have some chance if they can argue about consent and either failures of informed consent or, in the cases of children, that they were unable to consent (unless the parents consented on their behalf).

So, whilst I wouldn’t rule it out, the malpractice lawsuit route is fraught with difficulty and you probably shouldn’t expect to see huge awards any time soon.

Such a shame I’d love to see that Irish yeet the teet surgeon reduced to serving in McDonald’s.

Children with indeterminate genitals are exceptionally rare, but there are well thought out procedures and protocols to address them. They used to, quite honestly, think that early surgical intervention was the best option for the child but over time they realised that that wasn’t actually the best approach so now they advise to leave as is, unless there are other issues (some children may have urological or bowel issues too which are life threatening) and let the child decide for themselves. There is also usually counselling for the family to help them cope.

A lot of the shit the Troons spout about intersex is either just plain wrong or seriously out of date.

Children with “deformed” genitalia is a completely different issue from indeterminate and there are surgical procedures to address various deformities (eg hypospadias, epispadias, don’t google) I don’t believe they’re one shot repairs though so the poor children have to go through quite a lot of surgery - but their sex is never in doubt.

Is Stephen Fry? Unfortunately, he seems to be sitting firmly on the fence, which is a shame after his lovely tirade against offence-takers:

'It's now very common to hear people say, "I'm rather offended by that", as if that gives them certain rights. It's no more than a whine. It has no meaning, it has no purpose, it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. "I'm offended by that." Well, so fucking what?'

I’ve been a fan of his for years but his refusal to put his rational empiricism where his mouth is with regards to the trans issue disappoints me considerably - and I know why, because under the harsh gaze of a rational empiricist, gender identity theory falls apart completely as it is indistinguishable from religious belief.

Has Jo Brand ever said anything pro-terf? I have always liked her and she was a psychiatric nurse at Bedlam, for some time I believe, prior to making it in comedy.

Yeah, I’m really surprised and impressed at Ayoade I didn’t have him pegged as someone who would stand by Glinner. Now I’m hoping he stays firm on how he handles this situation and doesn’t try to appease the mob.

I’ve always been a fan of Ross and even though he was one of the comedians that led the alternative comedy movement of the 80s he has never been anything other than liberal in the true sense when many of his contemporaries have become wokescolds of the highest order. He also has experience of attempted cancellations of his own.

Comedians Richard Ayoade and Jonathan Ross today joined a rapidly growing list of beloved entertainment stars who trans activists are trying to cancel.

Jonathan Ross is a fairly big deal in the UK.

The pair's 'crime' – according to the campaigners – was to review a book written by controversial comedy writer Graham Linehan.

Mr Linehan is long-time target of activists, who shut down his planned appearance at this year's Edinburgh Fringe festival. He performed elsewhere in the city. Last night, he announced he had written a book about his experiences of going from the widely-celebrated writer of Father Ted and The IT Crowd to being cancelled.

The front cover of 'Tough Crowd' features two quotes from Mr Ayoade and Mr Ross.

Mr Ayoade, who shot to fame playing Maurice Mosse on The IT Crowd, said: 'His brilliance in prose is equal to his brilliance as a scriptwriter.'

Mr Ross's featured remark said: 'A must-read book – funny and utterly compelling.'

Channel 4 has become embroiled in a fakery row after pretending that a man appearing on their reality show Married At First Sight UK was unaware he had been paired up with a transgender woman

Next week viewers will see Ella Morgan, who was born male and transitioned into a woman when she was 20, wed the contestant before some hours later telling him that she is trans.

They will watch as the man is left in shock when he learns he has just wed the Ms Morgan.

And in a bid to keep the drama going, she doesn't tell her new husband for some time after the wedding ceremony.

However, the broadcaster has now admitted that they did tell the groom before filming the dramatic scenes, meaning that the organisation has duped their viewers.

What’s the bet that the man “consented” because he didn’t want to appear to be a transphobe? Having spent a tiny bit of time with some junior production staff for a TV channel, they are super pushy when it comes to filming because of the cost of lost time, so I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that not only did the guy not want to appear to be a bigot, but the production team was also a coercive and exerted a bit of pressure on him so as not to lose money on the shoot.

(When I say tiny, I really do mean tiny - I think I spent less than an hour with some junior producers of a panel show… they were not nice people)

The medical authorities promoting transition really do not tell people about the long-term outcomes. That's not part of the brochure.

Because the clinical data just isn’t collected and anyone that tries to look into it is subjected to horrific abuse and is basically committing career suicide.

No surgeon should be doing any of the sex change procedures, they just do not have the evidence to support them as effective treatments compared to counselling and psychiatric treatment for the delusion.

I think anyone who has posted here for any length of time has agreed that when this house of cards comes tumbling down and the society-wide fever dream breaks, we will wonder what the fuck we allowed doctors and surgeons to do. I personally hope that it causes a massive shift in how medicine is practiced, in the UK in the way that it is regulated (allowing NICE to do it’s job and set guidelines for treatment without political interference) and in the US investigating the role money influences doctors’ decision-making processes (pharma influence, “defensive medicine”, upselling and never saying no).

The big change that will have to happen is the utter destruction of the influence that the grifters have in politics, be they gender identity, race or any other special interest that lobbies for legislation and special treatment.

So it is probably a blessing that he has no sex drive, because he would otherwise be eternally frustrated.

Thanks. That’s a brilliant explanation.

I have given up trying to teach phonics to children who have grown up speaking a different language, it is pretty much impossible for them to learn English that way. It caused massive arguments in the school I worked in at the time as there were a lot of children new to English coming from the subcontinent. We had good results from just straight up teaching words (look and say) rather than trying to teach them the way we teach native English speakers.

Best result I ever had though was because the child’s parents were both fluent English speakers (they were Indian and highly educated in India but the child grew up in Italy, so she spoke Italian and her home language, one of the thousands of Indian languages) so when I asked the parents to speak English at home they did 100% immersion with their child and they ended up a fluent English speaker in three years (fluent enough to read and write English at a higher than expected level for an 11 year old) it was remarkable.

I watched an interview with a guy who went through the full surgery and had regrets instantly, but he accepts that he did it to himself (although he does think he was vulnerable at the time). Jazz was a child through the whole process and his mother just made all the decisions for him. I don’t see how you can recover from that.

The funniest thing happened when I was a kid. As part of an effort to promote tolerance and acceptance for disabled people, a children’s TV show, Blue Peter, featured a man called Joey Deacon, who was a well known author and had cerebral palsy with quite severe facial and vocal tics.

It backfired hard, from that day on “Joey” became an insult and kids, to this day, mimic his facial tics - when a American kid of the 80s would have said “retarded” British kids put their tongue between their lower lips and teeth and say “Duurrrr”. Truthfully, it’s way worse than just saying “retarded”.

It’s 99% effective at preventing sexual transmission of HIV, which is good enough apparently for people to raw dog it at orgies.

Chemsex, unchecked promiscuity, orgies and PrEP were the unspoken reasons why Monkeypox was a problem. And at the height of the Monkeypox outbreak they were worried about stigmatising gays and people thinking the name of the virus was racist. At no point did any public health organisation just tell the gays to knock the random hookups on the head for six months, they even tried to hide how it was spreading only amongst the gay community and that it was spreading primarily through sex (never forget the medical journal article claiming sore dicks and swollen anuses were new monkeypox symptoms, never forget).

The establishment has become so afraid of offending particular minorities that they will actively cover shit up even when the cover ups are 100% retarded, and worse still, the media is 100% on board with it.

I just love those woke illustrations. As a 5'7" dude, if I walked home like this, I would only succeed in making my assailant angrier and thus reducing my chances of survival. by thrownaway9090000 in TumblrInAction

There’s so much retardation around HIV, sexually transmitted infections and gay men that this shit doesn’t surprise me.

In fact I bet, I fucking bet, that the manufacturer of PrEP is behind this because it would be a major sales driver if you stigmatise checking whether your potential partner is HIV+.

The manufacturers of PrEP funded all the HIV charities in the UK and subsequently they all campaigned for PrEP to be given out on the NHS. Let that sink in, the all campaigned for tax money to be used so gay dudes could have promiscuous unsafe sex (and then everyone was pikachu-faced when rates of gonorrhoea and syphilis went through the roof and Monkeypox ran wild).

It’s all attention-seeking behaviours.

Because they’re not relevant. I’m in an England, we never had vaccine mandates or masking laws and schools operate according to guidance from the department of education so when they shut schools or dictate Covid prevention we have no choice but to comply with the government - currently a Conservative government.

We also have a national curriculum which sets out everything we teach and schools are inspected to make sure that they’re following the curriculum and that safeguarding is being done properly. Some schools have leeway, but not the ones I’ve worked in and because private schools are free to do anything they like (and are the wokest of woke currently, which is hilarious).

I would refuse to fly any BLM or pride flags, but I have got a Union Jack. None of my displays in my classroom are anything other than curriculum related. So no, I don’t have my personal politics in my classroom and I never would, I would outright refuse to fly those flags if told to.

It’s the Peter Cook/Bishop speech from the wedding scene from The Princess Bride. Peter Cook did the scene with a speech impediment that turns “marriage” into “mawwidge”. It’s very funny in the context of the film, but not something I would have thought suitable for an actual wedding, and something that I would have thought was verboten these days as it is essentially poking fun at people with speech impediments.

Anyone old enough to be an adult now grew up at a time when troonery was confined to middle-aged men and Buck Angel. Children had exactly zero exposure to this shit.
