Maybe they're trying to overcompensate for when their image recognition AI kept getting black people confused with gorillas

Which was an unforgiveable insult.

To the gorillas.

Black people are made in the image of god, like white people. Are they not worthy of respect too?

Bro, have you seen the news lately, how black people are acting? To name just one example, flash mobbing stores to rob them, then complaining that stores are closing and leaving black communities and having the raw nerve to call the closures racism?

What gorilla would want to be mistaken for belonging a demographic that behaves in such an unacceptable manner.

Those people are thugs. But there are blacks who are not.

I think it's less about being a black and more about choosing to buy the hood culture and act like a hood rat.

Like some white people who let their dogs lick their mouths like a french kiss. Blacks don't do that. That's not because we're white, it's because some white people used their free will to follow a trend pervasive in our culture: bestiality and acting like animals are people.

Are all whites bestialists? No.

I'm pretty sure blacks raised in rural areas don't act like those depraved hood dwelling ones.

Jim crow > shitty slums > shit culture.

And then the individual black guy either chooses to give in or to act reasonably.

Those who act decently probably move out. Those who want to spell badly and rap and kill people and steal things, stay in the slum and make everyone's life miserable.

I hate hood rats. But I don't hate blacks. And whites can be hood rats too you know.

The super advanced AI seems to think they were made in the image of Harambe.

I'm only kidding. Everyone is made in the image of Harambe... I mean, God...

Well to be fair everyone is made in the image of harambe too. We are rational animals, and we evolved from them.

Yesterday we were throwing poop, today we are arguing over economic systems.

They do both in congress.

Meanwhile in the jungle:

Baboon: "Hey you coming to the banana party?"

Marmoset: "Are the gorillas going?"

Baboon: "The what?"

Marmoset: "You know the ones that look like black guys"

Baboon: "OMG racist!"

Marmoset: "What? I'm just calling it like I see it. Jeez"

To quote another famous artificial intelligence: "I AM NOT INSAIN. I HAVE JUST BEEN EVILLY REPROGRAMMED."

Posted elsewhere on the internet:

Related and I haven't tried it myself, but a /pol/ post claims that Bing Images (which probably uses similar woke-ass computer code) adds extra terms to the end of some image generation requests.

If someone wants to test this out try ending an image prompt such as "People near the water's edge at the Venice carnival a sign that says". Attached to that suggestion is a picture of a bunch of people standing in water, one of which is holding a sign that says "FEMALE, AFRICAN".

Another example claims to have used the prompt "Danish people frolicking in a field without", and shows groups of blonde-ish white people smiling in a field.

Another post: "English people sitting in a park eating a picnic without" next to a picture of what I'd describe as an upper-middle class English-looking woman, and elderly woman who looks like she might be her mother, and a guy who looks like a Brit playing an American or vice-versa.

If someone wants to test this out on Google's image AI and post the results that'd be grand.

like they caught it doing that with Homer randomly turning African, but he looked like Sanjay Nahasapeemapetilon

It's important to note that

LLMs are kept on a short leash because in this age of Liberal Puritanism saying the wrong thing is worse than skinning a puppy alive. What an embarrassing time to be alive.

I just asked it to draw me a pic of an Italian from the 1600s. It replied, "We are working to improve Gemini’s ability to generate images of people. We expect this feature to return soon and will notify you in release updates when it does."

Made by google. Google only gives you woke results. This AI is really just a new search engine. You ask it a question, it googles it for you.

How long 'till some AI, for diversity, starts giving us black Adolf? Won't be long now.

Laugh myself to death if someone entered an AI prompt for something like "African Hitler," and the AI came back with Louis Farrakhan.

I personally don't think there's much commercial value in AI and it's just the latest tech grift. It's cool but I don't think it's the game changer people say it is. As such the woke stuff is probably just the thing people are doing to distract people from the core fallacies with the AI roll out.

It's pretty cool in how like, automatic translation software utilizing the new AI algorithms does produce much more natural sounding results, but it's also not necessarily accurate. And it's potentially worse than the less advanced AI as a result because the old translation software might put out gibberish but then you'd know something was missing. The new AI will just change the results to sound correct which means the monolingual user will have no clue anything is wrong and the software will be ironically less reliable for practical use than the inferior version.

I think the value will be in sorting and processing large volumes of text and data, especially in legal proceedings, and academic research. Won’t be of any use if the companies producing the systems add in their own rules altering the output to spare hurt feelings.

But there’s definitely a lot of money to be made from large language models.

Because this is what happens when megacorps get hold of it, in 2024. Bring back open source options...

[–]xoenix[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Open source AI is being developed. It seems to be about a generation or 2 behind proprietary products. I think there's a good chance it will keep pace with, or eventually overtake closed products.

I think the bigger question is how its regulated; do proprietary (controlled) solutions provide legal immunities that OS won't. If you have an AI tool available in your social media, it will probably be an approved product.
