I frankly don't give a fuck how they want to identify so long as we don't seriously entertain the notion they need to be housed with the female inmates.

You want to wear a dress and be called she her? Whatever. Dresses aren't allowed in prison. And we will just call you buy your legal name.

What on earth gives you the idea that anyone should have the right to be whatever sex you want?

I'm prepared, just maybe, to accept that for a tiny number of people with a severe mental illness, "gender dysphoria", perhaps sex reassignment surgery is warranted for medical reasons.

For everyone else, cross-dressing and transvestivism (with or without surgery and hormones) is a privilege. If you want the rest of society to play along with your little fetish, then you better ask nicely and be on your best behaviour.

Somehow I've never actually heard of this guy. I guess it didn't pick up as much media attention in the US. Of course he goes with the "gay is a choice" line. Trans the gay away.

Normally I'd think that would get you an extra 10 years here. UNLESS you follow that up with

"Trans is who I am"

In any case, someone should have published the article using the title "Convicted killer receives lighter sentence for admitting his homosexuality was a choice."
