It definitely isn't harmless for the women that live with or directly around these men on an individual level either. They consider stealing female family members' underwear a "rite of passage" and jerking off into it "just coming to terms with their gender". And if they target children/children's underwear then it's just "wishing for a girlhood they never had!".

A lot of them act like absolute creeps and abusers, too. These are sexual harassers who have found a way to turn themselves into victims by jumping on the ridiculous notion, in woke spaces, that anything "trans" is beyond any form of criticism.

Weird how the TiMs are supposedly so fragile that the mere mention of their maleness drives them to suicide, and yet somehow they have no problem taking over and completely controlling all these online spaces. They see themselves as the victims of unkind speech and yet have grabbed so much power that they're controlling the conversation entirely, anything they don't like vanishes. TRAs don't know how to stop so they'll continue peaking everyone around them by making crazier and crazier demands, something's gotta give sooner or later. Voluntary TRA handmaidens who proclaim TIMs are gorgeous queens are probably too far gone, but the average person/adult is not crazy about being told how to speak and think by ridiculous narcissists who make up 0.3% of the population and are louder and more public about their kink than freakin' furries.

Hating women is really fashionable right now among the "woke" as long as they put white in front of it. You could say this kind of misogyny never went out of style but pretending it's some sort of groundbreaking progressiveness is new.

I feel such a visceral revulsion for people that tell a woman to "shut up" like they do JK Rowling, even more so when it's such a concerted media effort. That sort of muzzling language is never used for men they disagree with.

Ugh, sounds like he wasn't just fishing for compliments, he was also fishing for someone he could come into conflict with. I bet everyone around him was supportive and he can't properly feel like a victim if there's no "terf" to fight against.

I totally get your anger, OP, and commend you for your patience (personally would've probably started to ignore him as soon as the selfies started, but I bet he would've had a roblem with that as well), you tried to give actual good advice that you'd give to an inexperienced girlfriend. But of course the rampant narcissism (weird how they always think being feminine means being a self-involved drama queen) left no space for pragmatic advice, and accusing you of mansplaining is the height of hypocrisy.

Do you think he'll try to tell everyone you know how "transphobic" you are? He might blatantly change stuff around like "she told me I can't wear yoga pants because I'm not a real woman, boohoo".

All the commenters with trans/pride flags saying "they're only detransitioning because they have unsupportive parents!". Total bullshit, first, they know nothing about these childrens' parents but of course screaming "transphobic" into the ether is their knee-jerk reaction to anything they dislike hearing, and secondly, how were the children out and living as trans if the parents were so unsupportive? A 13 y.o. girl can't transition on her own without the parents' help & money.

I just feel so bad for these kids who think they must perform gender to such a degree, whether it's their gender or opposite gender stereotypes. Must be exhausting, I remember very well how much peer pressure there was at that age, in our class almost every girl wore the same shoes and jeans and we were made fun of if we didn't have similar branded clothing. But at least it wasn't some arms race over who could be the most dysphoric or non-binary, lol.

Men would've dismantled patriarchy a thousand years ago if it weren't a net positive for the vast majority of men. Historically, oppressing 50% of the population automatically made you part of the "winning" half, even if you're a complete loser otherwise.

Men on the internet who speak out against the patriarchy only do so as a way to complain about how their particular personality or lifestyle isn't seen as the most manly and admired in society ("I'm a socially awkward nerd, so unfair! Toxic masculinity hurts me most of all!"), if you actually expect them to ally with women you'll quickly find that any feminism that makes them slightly uncomfortable or offended will be cause for them to abandon the movement.

It's no surprise that men that were nerdy and "weak" growing up and then reach success later in life (tech bros, former media darlings like Joss Whedon and Louis CK) are, while outwardly claiming to support equality, some of the most misogynistic opportunists around.

They all keep repeating "transwomen have it so much harder than cis women". If it were true, you wouldn't have to say it ad nauseam and could actually point to some evidence. Plus, none of the comments actually have any answers to the "holes in the narrative" the OP complains about, it's all just "yeah but it's so tough being trans!" or "but terfs suck, poor us". And you know why? Because TRA proselytizing is based on a bunch of lies, you can't argue reality away.

Also, to the TiMs who claim they actually deal with sexism and misogyny too. Nah, you don't. You deal with people being revolted when they see a man awkwardly and deludedly pretending to be a woman.

I see exchanges like that a lot online and it's so strange to me. These people really think being critical of gender and aware of the reality of sex-based oppression is on the level of being a racist, so when they publicly shittalk "terfs", everyone can see how tolerant and inclusive they are. Except a terf has never hurt anyone, we do not condone violence and are not a danger to human rights. But sure, saying "I was born a woman and you were not" is the most horrible and hateful thing anyone has ever done to another person.

It's a hallmark of irrational and self-obsessed people that anything that makes them feel bad, or even just uncomfortable, means the other person is automatically bad, malicious, an enemy. Nothing Olivia said was mean or even unkind or wrong, and they cannot actually point to anything specific, but they still freak out and say it's transphobic. Why? Because they feel it somehow is. Because a "terf" should not be allowed to speak at all. Anyone who disagrees with them and their worldview is not allowed to speak.

Notice how they needed to see Amy (who is firmly pro-trans) grovel and apologize over and over again? And it still won't be good enough, years down the line Amy's TRA "friends" will still bring up how she "gave terfs a platform". They enjoy putting the emotional thumbscrews on any women who need to be "punished" for stepping out of line.

I didn't wear ultra feminine clothing as a teenager either. I preferred baggy pants and huge flannel shirts (they were cool back in the 90s). It was what it was at the time, I didn't make a big deal of it nor tried to change my "gender identity" because of it.

Same, in the early to mid-90s short hair and grunge were all the rage (even if my friends and I were a little young to really get into it), we never pretended this gave us a whole new gender. Gender-neutral clothes (baggy sweatshirts, men's cut Levis, Doc Martens boots) were just normal, none of us were "brave" for our style. Trans"girls" using their identity to get validation from girls/women. I wonder what they'll do once they've driven out all the "cis" women/girls/teens, who will they use for their affirmation then? Because we all know staying in their trans spaces isn't enough for them.

I'm still convinced like 90% of them are not actually trans but pathetic little proto-incels who don't feel masculine enough (despite jerking it to porn 3 times a day) and they want to get close to women by pretending they are women. Or simply older pedos who know being a pedo isn't socially acceptable so they become "cute little girly transbians" instead and browse reddit to talk to teen girls. If you looked at the PMs they send to actual girls there'd probably be a lot of sexual harassment under the guise of "girl talk".

They argue that their "pain" of not feeling like the right gender means they never got to enjoy male privilege... which is such a blatant lie.

About your last point, that has never made sense to me either. TRAs go on and on about cis privilege and put down any supposedly cis person who dares speak up with a differing opinion, but how do they know that person is cis? What if that is actually trans person that hasn't had their public "coming out" yet OR is (like they always claim they can) already passing 100%? Any cis could be trans as far as they know. That's why TRAs want people to label themselves as cis vs. trans, so they can put them in the category they can instantly dismiss and talk over. And if you look on social media, it works, so many dummies loudly proclaiming how they're cis and apologizing for their "privilege" and pledging that transpeople will always come first.

I have no problem with intersectional feminism in the academic sense, but online it's been misunderstood as sort of a "privilege tally/ladder" where you have more or fewer privilege points than someone else and you are automatically an oppressor or a victim, i.e. a "cis" woman is more privileged than a transwoman and therefore the individual transwoman is justified in endlessly shitting on "cis" women, despite women as a class having been systematically oppressed and used as breeding stock for thousands of years, and the transwoman might just be a horny straight neckbeard with an AGP fetish whose family has coddled him his entire life.

It really has created an "us vs. them" feminism and I'm not sure how we're supposed to get out of this toxic mode of thinking, because currently I think feminism is much more fractured and weaker than it's ever been.

A lot of TiFs have very strong internalized misogyny and, though they always deny it, it plays a large role in their transition and it's why they say "oh I always knew I wasn't like other girls!". When they transition they think letting that misogyny hang out makes them all the more manly, and they probably also bond with shitty bio men that way. Reddit has never had a problem with male depravity unless it reflected badly on them and had direct con$equences. But if the TRAs complain about gendercritical content then all the real feminist subs quietly get banned for being "hateful". Directly hateful & harmful perverted subs against women and children? A-okay, apparently. The mods of that sub (and admins who don't ban) belong in jail.

Reddit has never cared one bit about getting rid of misogyny. Even the worst incel sub of all was only banned after its users told a guy to kill himself. The fatphobia sub was only booted after people there harassed imgur staff. The pedophilia sub thrived for years and it took Anderson Cooper reporting on it for the admins to act. The unmeasurable damage subs like these did directly & indirectly to women & girls, and how they messed up male psyches forever...

Now the feminist/gender critical subs that never hurt anyone? Gone in the blink of an eye just because some TRAs campaigned against it.

It's still all narcissism, he doesn't like this and that about being a woman, it's not awesome and special and sexy like he thought it would be. I see a total lack of personal responsibility, he "feels lied to" and is delusional about supposedly being able to pass as male or female.

Yep, I saw an article on Die Zeit yesterday, an interview between a male journalist and a 62-year-old TiM, head of a tv programme, who "bravely" came out now that he's the boss of an entire syndicate and everyone in the mainstream falls all over themselves to champion to trans issues.

He had such fantastic, wise quotes as (translated from German) "A woman is a woman is a woman" (which he obviously considers himself) and "I live who I truly am now". Great.... /s Two men talking about the question "whether a woman is born a woman or society makes her one". I honestly thought it was both overly simplistic and highly ofensive in an "awww I'm so nice and harmless, it's just about being ~authentically myself~". When really it's a highly powerful man who needs all his employees and the media to call him a real woman, meanwhile he's never done anything for women in Germany in his entire life.

I sadly don't see my fellow Germans putting up a fight about it.

Couldn't agree more. It's not more authentic, unless you're a brainless idiot you already know that women have stretch marks/cellulite/rolls/wrinles/hair on their body, it's just instagram advertising finding a new niche that they can wring some money out of. It's not aimed at men to get them to stop shaming women with unrealistic beauty standards (they're too busy jerking it to bikini pics of underage girls on insta anyway), it's aimed at insecure women who are more likely to spend their money with companies that give them the feeling they're "celebrating" their natural bodies. If this advertising trend doesn't work out for them they're right back to airbrushing everything.

I personally don't care if the models of the online shops I frequent have clear skin, cellulite or scars or whatever, but 99% of the models there are still size 00 and1.80m tall, I would actually appreciate if they had more average body types so the clothes won't fit completely different on 99.9% of their female customers. That would be a pragmatic change in my eyes.

Honestly, it pains me that women don't have as much solidarity or backbone for our own much more fundamental issues, patriarchy has really done a number on so many of us.

I'm sure men will survive our "blatant sexism", lol. God forbid they taste even a verbal smidgen of what women have gone through since the dawn of time because we're frustrated and venting. We are no physical/social/political threat to men unlike they are to us. And why should we police our tone because of what some internet rando might think of us? Our activism isn't contingent on men liking us, in fact I'd say always being concerned with staying polite and being afraid of seeming "emotional" over actual male BS has hurt women FAR MORE than it has helped.

Those "plenty of anti-pornography men" you know still jerk it to hardcore anal scenes or "barely legals", I guarantee it, they just want to feel superior to other pornsick men.

Finding a doc like that when I've had actual medical issues (that were not a choice like taking hormones because you're a guy who wants boobs) has often been difficult and the ones that take their time are a godsend.

TRAs are putting a lot of pressure on medical workers to just give them what they want and to never ask questions or give advice, all the while making appointment after appointment for their hormones. Honestly wish general practitioners could just opt out of wasting their time on gender-obsessed patients who clog up the system with elective stuff.

It's a different generation now and gen z is honestly FUCKED. Young women now are so brainwashed by the patriarchy in the extremely sexist new media (youtube, insta, twitter, tiktok, onlyfans) where any semblance of real feminism has been pushed out in favor of choice feminism, it's all been set up by fake-liberal (actual alt-right libertarian) tech bros (=men) with ads and sponsorships run by exactly the same men. Equality for women has been eroded in the last 10 years, not by women but by a manipulative system still run almost entirely by men.

Every girl wants to be a fucking Kardashian clone with 5 pounds of make up on her face, fake lashes, a big cleavage and ass while spouting brain dead slogans that seek to find empowerment in selling themselves, so of course they think men looking and acting like that is also normal. They think a toothless feminism that "doesn't demonize men" is the height of fairness because that's what men say is acceptable as they don't feel threatened by it (unlike by radfem ideas), while these guys jerk off to braindead bimbo women and hate them at the same time. Misogyny doesn't stop even when you turn yourself into the willing "cool girl" fuckdoll men say they desire, they'll just call you a thot and hate you anyway.

You can't blame Twilight too much for it, it was one Mormon woman's masturbatory (but still G-rated) fantasy and of course men made fun of it because it wasn't by them or for them, but it was also just really bad plot- and quality-wise. Still, it was extremely tame and at least woman-centered compared to all the male-written fantasy of the '80s, '90s and aughts, where women were basically flesh prizes for the main characters to win. Romanticizing abuse is something men have wanted women to do for centuries now and somehow progress has been turned into "women now do the same thing men have always done, which is to put down extraordinary and outspoken women" (verbally while men also do it physically), instead of "women fight for women's voices to be heard". The root of all evil is women still working under patriarchy to seek approval from and cater to men that just happen to come in all shapes and genders now, yet in the end they're still the same old horny & hateful men that want you to shut up and look pretty.

Being a transwoman is basically the trump card they use against badly informed intersectional feminists, there is apparently no greater oppression in life than to be a dumpy middle aged guy who likes to jerk off while wearing women's panties and lipstick. If transmen are ever talked about (they rarely are unless it's to invalidate female only spaces), suddenly it's verboten to mention internalized misogyny as a reason for their transition or to imply that once they pass as men, they make use of male privilege for their own gain, despite both concepts being generally accepted for "cis" people.

Good article. I've felt more and more in the last 10 years or so (possibly it was going on long before then and I wasn't paying attention) how feminism online has devolved into this "feel good" hobby for women, where we complain about a couple of "simple" injustices, everyone agrees, it's very black and white, and on top of that we can buy "feminist" merch with cute "girl power!" slogans from all sorts of companies. I felt mildly uncomfortable about it before the TRA wave hit, but now the dark side of this pop feminism has really reared its lazy, shallow, male-pandering head.

It's not allowed to actually ask uncomfortable questions or express conflicts that go against the pop feminism trend. It's why people were so shocked when JK Rowling suddenly went against the approved flavor of discussion and actually in depth against one of the biggest current "trends" (which is to mindlessly post "transwomen are women <3" to a chorus of the same), because until then JK Rowling was seen as sort of a pop feminism icon: not at all radical, popular without question, she gave us nerdy-but-cool hermione (a girl being the sidekick is good enough, right?) and her rags-to-riches story seemed to signal the soothing message "women can do it all!".

Radical feminism has been turned into this dirty word, like it's now hateful in online feminist circles to not always seek male (clothed as women) approval for your "activism". If it can even still be called activism when mainstream feminism has been so neutered and commodified.

Probably because it doesn't fit their AGP fantasy, and because a male doc is more likely to tell them to fuck off.

Convicted murderer calls himself a 'TERF hunter' by tarun in GenderCritical

My country (in Europe) has had relatively few serial killers in the last decades but several of them are TiMs. Coincidence? Hmmm...

Recently it was a news story here that a woman impersonated a police officer and got away with bothering people for a whole while, a friend (an actual police officer) let her accompany him in his police car.... turns out this "woman" was a TiM whose fetish was being seen as a woman in a position of authority. News outlets only referred to him as a woman, it was only when I thought the story sounded fishy that I researched & found out the details. I imagine TiM killers will only be referred to as women from now on, no mention of their maleness. "Female" violent crimes and sex crime rates are about to go on a steep rise (and male rates will drop due to TiFs), soon talking about specifically male violence/toxic masculinity will be impossible because the statistics will be all messed up.

He is definitely the type to get off on the thought of being sent to a women's prison and hiding something in his ass just so the guards have to do a cavity search. Sorry if that was a crude thing to say but he would not miss a single opportunity to sexually harass every woman there, whether correctional officer or inmate.

Yep, once every "enemy sub" on reddit has been banned, they'll need someone else to fight (fascist thought always needs an enemy or "other" to justify its existence) and they'll brigade here.

"'Women have very little idea how much men hate them’" - What age did YOU figure out that some men hate XX? by BEB in GenderCritical

You mean that SO MANY men hate women? When I started reading anonymous online forums and saw massive collections of men's porn fiction/drawings/pornos, probably in the late '90s or early 2000s. I had always known there were misogynists and that society is sexist etc., but I'd never really experienced how visceral and hateful whole organized groups of thousands of men were in wanting to kill/rape/enslave women, how men growing up in developed countries fantasized online about taking human rights away from women again, how they see us as holes for fucking only and undeserving of basic respect otherwise, how they masturbate to images of severely abused women, etc.

Online observation; has anyone noticed a tendency for TIFs to hang out in female-dominated online spaces like Tumblr/fandom and TIMs usually hang out in like 4chan and male-oriented p0rnsites? by bigmeaniebutt in GenderCritical

[–]meranii 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Porn & hentai obsessed guys who were raised on online forums like 4chan and reddit, where "men are so oppressed" was a fan-favorite of self-victimization. They like to feel like even bigger victims now that they identify as trans, that's why they're trying to aggressively brand everyone a "terf" who disagrees with them.

Honestly, that's why reddit TRAs & mods got such backlash for trying to ban the usage of "traps" in their anime subs, the TRAs and the people wanking it to cartoon "traps" are often one and the same, just in a different stage of development.

Damn, I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I wish there had been more solidarity from other women for you, they probably were afraid to publicly support you because then HR would be coming for them next. All this did was to signal to TRAs at your company that it's possible to bully women out of senior positions (and soon those spots will be filled by transwomen).

I've literally never in my over 30 years of life had a biological woman either sexually or physically threaten me, neither online nor offline. Men, on the other hand...

This shit is so obvious male aggression and misogyny it hurts. TRAs sometimes even admit that they behave like shit but they blame it on hormones/second puberty, like it isn't typical male rage at not instantly getting what they want (a fantasy anime girl body that everyone has to acknowledge as real).

Exactly, thank you for the reply. It's sad that their mask is fooling so many but I still have hope that the tide will turn, as long as enough of us keep speaking up even if they try to silence us.

TiM switches to "boymode" to access male privilege. Cause you know, they're just sooo much more oppressed than actual women are. I wish I could opt out of womanhood whenever some sexist douche discriminated against me! by _UngodlyFruit_ in GenderCritical

And how come he even survived "boymode"? I thought any act of being misgendered is literal violence, and not treating a TiM 100% as female is literal erasure of their existence?

That TiM honestly needs to cancel himself for such an act of murderous transphobia agains a member of the trans community!

Indya Moore's modeling face always look like he's itching to break a woman's nose for not using his preferred pronouns (they/them, lol). Total trash.

Honestly, to harass women for men committing violence against transwomen, while dating someone you know to be violent? Indya is probably violent and messy himself and while I don't want him to be hurt or killed, transwomen really shouldn't act surprised when they go for known abusers who will fuck anything that looks sorta-female. But sure, it's still all women's fault, the narcissism doesn't allow for personal responsibility.
