Why is it always the TIMs saying they feel "less safe" if anyone says anything they don't like? I hate this co-opting of women's concerns over our physical safety, he's been some ugly guy his whole life, he's now an ugly guy in a dress, no one even gives enough of a shit about him to do him harm. It's only his fragile man ego that is in danger of shattering because someone dared imply he's not the center of the universe.

It pisses me off that this hulking man who's been IDing as a woman 2 years tops, is pretending he's a fragile victim. Fucking liar!

It's always about them, isn't it. Given a vague anti-censorship letter with 150 signatories of varied backgrounds and fields of study, and this TIM feels 'less safe' because a colleague who's admittedly always been nice signed it. Matt had to be punished for wrong-think, so the 'I feel less safe' dog whistle was employed to summon the mob to do their thing. EVDW is the Amy Cooper of Vox Media.

Todd is a manipulative, sexist AGP. He must have the biggest boner right now from all this attention.

Wish I could say I don't feel safe whenever people spout sexist bullshit or cancelly shit, but that wouldn't work. I actually have to argue for things. Pity. Do you think if I stopped merely being a woman and started identifying as one, people would take me more seriously? "I identify as a woman and a cancelled person, and you saying this letter makes you feel unsafe, makes me feel unsafe".

Fucking hell, I had a nosy on the twitter thread and as far as I can tell they think spaces inbetween text counts as fucking dog whistles. I think that's just tinnitus you morons

He lost me when he criticized black people who objected to Tom Cotton’s op-ed in the New York Times, which was disgusting. I have no more time for people on the right equating trans bullshit with anti-racism than for TRAs appropriating Black Lives Matter. We cannot make common cause with racists.

That said, I am encouraged by the “left-wing” signers of this letter and all the objections to it from TRAs. It makes me think that the indulgence of trans delusions has reached a high-water mark and they will soon be the ones to find themselves politically homeless.

Ugh, they can't have it both ways. Free speech should not be permissable when it only agrees with their world view. As long as it doesn't incite violence or is slanderous & libel it should be permitted as a human right!

Vox has used the "pregnant people" and "menstruating people" terms for some time now. That erasing biological sex makes fighting sexism a bit tricky doesn't seem to bother them.

https://twitter.com/emilyvdw/status/1280580388495097856 Replies by the trans journalist who said they now feel "less safe", harps about not wanting to punish signer (which would really show those free speech anti-cancel culture people) and does the same if only they knew about about this reeducation swill, also names a trans person who should be added to the company

As one of the faces of Vox, this journalist has to watch what they say, but there's no reason to doubt if they had the upper hand they'd cancel everyone in a heartbeat.

Todd wants Vox to hire Kyle/Katelyn Burns, the pathological liar. I miss the days "journalists" used to get in trouble for fabricating and/or plagiarizing. Kyle fabricated DM exchanges with Jesse Singal, falsely accused him of sexual harassment, then plagiarized a black transwoman. I thought he might get in trouble for 5 minutes for that one, but no such luck.

Yikes, I googled and found a thread on Kiwifarms and one of the text screenshots showed they said, "Hating trans women is misogyny. Defending trans women from hate coming from cis woman is not misogyny...The people defending me and those like me aren't misogynists simply because the people attacking me are women."

All that predicated on TWAW, which they are not. What do we call males/men who attack women for daring to go after a problematic male/man? Misogynists, woman-haters, incels, etc. Does that change if the male in question now identifies as a woman? Not to most people.

I thought they weren't hired yet, but apparently they are and are up for contract renewal.

This gave me a security warning - it might be a bad ad or something malicious.

But I've seen some of the discussion around this - they filed an HR complaint, made public they were filing an HR complaint, and then are doing some serious DARVO.

The security warning was for the photo of a man in an orange dress.
