All the commenters with trans/pride flags saying "they're only detransitioning because they have unsupportive parents!". Total bullshit, first, they know nothing about these childrens' parents but of course screaming "transphobic" into the ether is their knee-jerk reaction to anything they dislike hearing, and secondly, how were the children out and living as trans if the parents were so unsupportive? A 13 y.o. girl can't transition on her own without the parents' help & money.

I just feel so bad for these kids who think they must perform gender to such a degree, whether it's their gender or opposite gender stereotypes. Must be exhausting, I remember very well how much peer pressure there was at that age, in our class almost every girl wore the same shoes and jeans and we were made fun of if we didn't have similar branded clothing. But at least it wasn't some arms race over who could be the most dysphoric or non-binary, lol.

They said "I bet there's a lot of gay kids going back into the closet too!!" I really doubt it. I really doubt there's any kid who came out to his parents as gay, was still living at home, and now as re-come out as straight during lock down. And if there was, we should consider that they too may have just been following the trend and not actually homosexual.

That's becouse being gay is not about yourself it's about who you give your love to. No one wants to be gay but there's always the person who makes you realise you are and who makes it worth all of what comes with it. But being "trans" is about wanting to feel original and different and playing the victim. Nowadays you don't need to do anything to be trans you can say "I don't care about pronounce call me whatever you want" and dumb people will be cheering. I've litteraly never heard of people feeling gay just to be different (eventhough ppl accuse bi/bi-curious girls of that). It's just who you are. And you can't fake it. There's nothing wrong with experimenting and no one will marry the same sex bcs they want attention.
