Because their whole identity depends on finding new sources of validation and "gender euphoria". It's like an addiction.

E: Don't comment on there, I see a lot of suspended accounts.

Hint: "np" Reddit links prevent participation. Just replace "www" with "np".

It spreads quickly in geeky subcultures because they have a lot of people with traits that make them vulnerable to trans rhetoric (autism, mental health issues, low self esteem, etc) and because a lot of these subcultures have escapist elements like roleplaying or wearing costumes that appeal to people for the same reason as transitioning often does - because they want to be anyone but themselves.

Yep, it's socially maladjusted people with low self esteem and no experience in life who have been fed the "hero's journey" narrative that they're super special. They've often been raised on video games where they can slip in and out of other identities, of course they think this is also possible irl. When we (the "NPCs", who needs empathy when everyone else is just a background character?) don't validate their transness, out come the insults and threats like they're in a Call of Duty voice chat.

Oh my God I've never thought about it that way before.

Great post - you are so right!

I noticed it too. The front page has a pro trans post almost every single day. Ffs there was that trans woman saying Animal Crossing made him trans and everyone was applauding how Stunning and Brave he was

[–]materialrealityplz 10 insightful - 6 fun10 insightful - 5 fun11 insightful - 6 fun -  (1 child)

Animal Crossing made him trans....? Wat.

[–]JoeDzhugashvili 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The real funny thing is people cheering him on when it proves how utterly full of shit this so-called “movement” is

Reminder that black people and women actually fought against genuine systemic repression while tranism is fighting against individuals being mean personally ;)

Money.

And, as some GC feminists who've researched it have noted, gender ideology could be an attempt to disassociate us from our sexed bodies to prepare us for trans-humanism. In fact, the article fuckingsealions linked to was written by a GC feminist, Jennifer Bilek, who thinks this is all a prelude to trans-humanism.

Anyone watch Elon Musk's Neurolink presentation? I didn't, but the way someone who did described it to me made me think of the trans-humanism theory.

trans advocates on the internet will be the least of your worries if Biden ever passes the "gender equality act". It's a bit late to worry about infiltration on social media.

[–]BEB 25 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 0 fun26 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You're right, but I just want to correct the title of the act: It is the "Equality Act" that has the support of every Democrat in Congress, including Kamala Harris, and which Joe Biden has said is his Number 1 legislative priority.

As I keep saying, the Equality Act will change the legal definition of "sex" to include "gender identity" thus erasing women and gay men as distinct legal categories. It will also allow men to self-identify as women and access women's sex-segregated spaces and sports.

If you're an American, call your senators NOW and say NO to the Equality Act and explain why. We are running out of time.

[–]JoeDzhugashvili 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You Americans ran out of time long ago

Even this new “Equality Act” is itself nothing compared to either the RNC or DNC fascism coming down the pipeline what with severe unemployment, a collapsing economy, and conditions of world war.

[–]leninsleftnipple 18 insightful - 3 fun18 insightful - 2 fun19 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

So many posts are making it to the front page, like at least one a week where it's some varient of "my bf/husband/brother/son came out as trans how do I support her?" And in the comments people just circle jerk about how trans women are women and how BRAVE and so BEAUTIFUL and wow fucking kill the TERFs etc etc

Makes me barf every time I see this propaganda garbage

Dave Chappelle nailed it, even though he usually is just a homophobic misogynist

"I just want to be seen and valid" = "I'm a raging narcissist who needs to be the center of attention everywhere, otherwise I will cry discrimination"

Their personal gender hangups are not relevant to mainstream discourse in any way and yet they are dominating the scene in 2020 when we have so many bigger problems going on.

Maybe it's because when you're aware of something, you see it more often and develop a bias

Indeed, it's called the Baader-Meinhof effect.

I was going to ask why someone who clearly doesn't go outside would post that video game language on a sub for being outside but I see that it's a game called "Outside". 🙃 so instead I'll presume it's because of the places you visit? I rarely see trans stuff except on here and other places where gender critical people congregate. video game communities seem to be teeming with brave and stunning transwomen so it's probably that.

[–]BEB 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I used to regularly fly into a "Red" (conservative) state for work, and while there, would see TIMs all over the place. Trader Joe's seemed to be a favorite hangout.

But I've also seen TIMs at the airport. One was in the women's bathroom making a scene. We women looked at each other bemused and a little scared because the guy was acting nuts. It was in a state where TIMs could legally enter women's bathrooms so we could do nothing. Outrageous, really.

[–]unexpectedly_local 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

that's interesting. I live in a really liberal lgbT friendly area and never really see TiMs unless I'm at an LGBT centric place or event. no one I regularly interact with talks about TRA stuff or acts like they even exist. I do tend to avoid young people who are clearly very sjw though.

[–]RedditHatesLesbians[S] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Kind of irrelevant but the sub is a joke where real life is a "game" and it mostly has gifs and short clips of unbelievable and cool things happening in real life, with the joke that such things are only possible in a video game. Actually text posts only become popular rarely, even though they're allowed, but the trans circle jerk always comes through. It's not actually about any video game that exists but I guess the language itself makes it attractive to trans identified males. It's a shame because I'm a woman and I actually love gaming but all spaces for that, even subs meant for girl gamers, are overflowing with trans women.

[–]VioletRemi 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Circles for girl games can be the last place where you can actually find girl gamers. Funniest one when I was invited to one old friend server for gaming, and he said "there a lot of women, you may find someone to play games". And there like 40-50 people on that server right now, from whom around 35-40 are "women". At first I found it weird that none of them reacting to nothing women-related, except fashion, and their gaming choices were a bit "too masculine" and full of fanservice games, but then I've asked one person who know them all, and it turned out that I was the only actual female on server, lol.

[–]BEB 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Why does every other oppressed group get to claim the rights to their own oppression except women?

It's infuriating.

[–]unexpectedly_local 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, well don't I feel silly 😅 and yeah that sucks for gamer spaces. I avoid all "nerdy" communities now as they're just hotbeds of transness.

Swans scream the loudest when they're about to die. Idiologies are no different.

[–]BEB 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The issue is that while gender ideology is dying in the mainstream, over-40ish, US, it's being pushed on kids from the time they're in nursery school, and absolutely enforced in universities.

Also, Trans, Inc. has had years to pass bills completely (and very deliberately) under the radar all over the world, from the local to the national level.

In the US, check out your local and state laws - you might be shocked at how much the ability for men to self-ID as women has already made it into law.

Because reddit is very male

[–]ArthnoldManacatsaman 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Indeed. Before I basically abandoned Reddit I had to constantly remind myself that it's an echo chamber for young, white, left-leaning, American men. If even one of those things doesn't apply to you, most of the default subs aren't for you.

[–]materialrealityplz 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I had an extension at one point that you could replace words with other words. I hated seeing the word 'porn', so I changed it to something else.

I think it would be impossible to block trans content unless with some super advanced AI that could recognize it, lol.

Though I do think Reddit has become a trans hotspot, idk, I abandoned it. At least with Twitter its easy to avoid that stuff, just don't follow anyone who posts about political stuff.

[–]Sebell 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Keep in mind this is intentional. They come in and make a post - to see how people respond. If they respond badly, they make a few more from alt accounts, then they use the responses and report them to brigade subs.

That's what they've done to multiple sub-reddits. If you read the brigade subs - it's so clear it's a tactic.

I guess, in some ways, it’s like the demagogue’s determination to push the far right agenda during the week of his crowning. It’s propaganda: if you get to say it 5 nights in a row rather than one night, the Orwellian effect seeps deeper. Biden & the dems are the radical left, Marxists, socialists, fascistic extremists who will gut our values, and sink our country. Or in trans online proliferation: we are the new norm, we’re everywhere, totally acceptable to every stripe, loved at every turn (yet martyred too), see how we banter and humor each other, notice our engaging camaraderie, it’s our world, we’re like a highly profitable product that no one can afford to dissociate from, so don’t miss out on our upward trajectory. (because if you do, you’re likely to be disappeared)
