I've seen many woke people say that you aren't really gay if you believe in <usually conservative view>. All the ones I know say that Pete Buttigieg isn't really gay because he isn't liberal enough.

It's also very very common in Gen Z media for people to "act gay" or "look gay" etc. There's a big trend on Tik Tok right now where people are coming out as bisexual by..... Rolling up their jeans? And apparently everyone is supposed to automatically know exactly what that means.

This probably doesn't contribute at all to the conversation but it is a weird thing I've noticed.

Yes it was an online community (I wasn't involved in it, but it spilled over). A 25ish year old teacher had a tulpa who was 16ish and a 12 year old had a tulpa who was 17ish or something like that. They would role play really graphic sex stuff in private chat rooms and nobody else aware commented on it because they were all into the tulpa stuff.

Eventually I caught on and reported it because the teacher commented how they had a crush on the 12 year old's tulpa or something like that (I think the wording was "I thought I was gay until I met them"). The kid really fought us super hard on it for a while but eventually cut them off.

I said thsi in another comment, but every self diagnosed autistic I know is trans. They're all very out and proud about being autistic, even mentioning it in job interviews and the likes, something which almost every professionally diagnosed autistic person would never do, from what I've seen.

The autism community seems to have a much higher rate of transitioning than the rest of the population, but not as high as the self dxers.

I'm starting to get very sick and tired of self-diagnosing. I'm sick of my struggles and pain being used as woke points and attention-seeking behavior. But the autism community would shun anyone who says that.

It's interesting that you bring up tulpas. Nowadays, everybody who was into tulpas is trans. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be going away as quickly as the tulpa phase.

Yeah when I was trans my dysphoria went from manageable to something I thought about way too much. Like it went from, "Oh, I don't really like my boobs so I'll wear a baggy sweatshirt" to "NOBODY MUST KNOW I HAVE BOOBS AND I MUST MAKE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THEY ARE NEVER VISIBLE." It's exhausting.

After therapy for other things, including some OCD behaviors, it seems to me that the best course of action is CBT/mindfulness. Just acknowledging that the dysphoria exists, maybe dealing with it in a slight way, but just letting it go and not having the power. Unfortunately that's transphobic nowadays.

So I did fall into the trans mess when all my friends did (I was nonbinary for a year). None of my other friends have detransitioned. Everyone is a full blown TRA.

I think for me it's because I had a lot of chance to hear differing views. I was raised by the internet and my very conservative church. So I was very used to hearing differing views. There was a point I was both an active tumblr user and an active /r/tumblrinaction user lol. My private high school also had a lot of logic and philosophy courses.

I still fell into the bandwagon, but even then, I was way more critical than others. I tried to dismiss my opinions bc they were considered transphobic, but eventually I couldn't anymore.

I think there's a problem with society where we can no longer have debates or discussions about anything at all. Anything is immediately touted as somethingphobic. And I think I managed to escape that with my upbringing. For example, Gay rights? I heard why it's bad from my family/church and heard why it's good from the internet and others, and decided for myself that I support gay rights. This is true for a lot of subjects. I try to understand the other side and why they believe in what they do. Unfortunately, trying to do that makes you a phobe or whatever.

Nowadays people are told "if you're not this, then youre a bad person, and if anyone is this, you should hate them and never listen to them". It's exhausting.

As someone who id detrans: you can avoid any people saying anything very, very easily. GC on reddit was "bad" because of the transphobia, so why would I read it? And everywhere else is massively pro trans.

Is it any wonder I detransitioned like a week after finding /r/gc?

Same. I am so, so sick of seeing trans issues everywhere. Everyone I know is becoming trans. I just want to go one day without hearing of it.

It's even worse because I was nonbinary for a year so I know the inner workings of it and can see how bad it is. But I can't say anything. It makes me want to avoid everyone. Seeing how my childhood best friend and I went from both iding as nonbinary last year to me desisting and her going full ftm is so sad and unnerving.

But I always worry about if I'm on the right side of history. I dont know anyone who's also gender critical. Everyone is so obsessed with trans things. And I want people to be happy and be free and stuff but idk. I just feel conflicted a lot

I don't think it exists. But for the record, when I said I was detransitioning, people told me that just meant I was gender fluid and also asked if all gender fluid people were welcome in the detrans community.

Yes. A year ago my childhood best friend and I both identified as nonbinary. I desisted, she did not. A few months after I started reading gc and desisted, I got a fb friend request from a male name I didn't recognize (she changed her last name too I guess) and it was her. I just felt so bad and sad and idk. And every time she posts stuff about trans stuff or about her "bitch egg self" I just feel worse.

Honestly at this point so many of my friends have become trans that it's starting to feel like it's a new friend every month and I don't know how much more I can take. I'm trying to get away from trans things because I now see how harmful it is and it brings back bad memories of why I thought I was trans in the first place and that pain. But I can never get away from it now unless I want to lose everyone. So I have to pretend.

[–]blahblahgcer 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It does. The autism community is super trans based now. I think it's the black and white thinking for the most part. Like being told "you have to feel like a woman" or "women do these things". It's especially noticeable in women I think because autistic women's social skills are closer to that of a neurotypical male, which means that a lot of autistic women are masculine or fit in with guys way better.

Spoiler alert: it was an actual woman with a genetic disorder that left her with no uterus. And she had it removed right after the pregnancy. And there were lots of failures before that.

Actually, quarantine has helped with it a lot. I think it's the thing about not being forced to like.. present a certain way? Like I don't have to worry about wearing a sweatshirt constantly to cover my chest because nobody's gonna see it, and then when I do go outside, I'm so used to not wearing a sweatshirt, I don't worry about it. And also getting more involved in feminist and women spaces has helped a ton, between the "transitioning won't actually solve your problems" and the empowerment it gives, it's been super helpful for me.

So I got noticed on twitter?? Omg. Anyways, answering some things from there because I barely use twitter and would be too scared to connect my real life self with this:

  • I will not share my name or my location for privacy concerns. I'm honestly scared that people I know will recognize me from this post. Along with this, the autism community is very pro-trans and I am very involved with them.

  • I don't know what I could give as proof for being previously trans? I think all the proof I actually have other than people who actually know me is a binder. Most of my talking in the trans communities were in various Discord servers, and I've left most of them now.

  • Where were people getting hormones so fast? I think a lot of people were going to clinics where they were from because it's at college and everyone lives in various places. The only place I can name definitively is Planned Parenthood. I was actually told by a lot of the trans community to go there for some sort of hormone. Some androgyny hormone that's meant for breast cancer. It started with an a. Don't remember what.

  • I was not forced to be trans, that is true. However, I was heavily influenced and at a very fragile time in my life (like, got involuntarily put in a psych hospital for 8 days during the time period I was still questioning fragile). When I first thought I was nonbinary, I literally cried for like three days because I was so upset, but I was just told that I was just feeling internalized transphobia and they had all gone through similar things. Every time I tried to justify things (for reasons that are most definitely the actual cause of my dysphoria), I was told that if I'm questioning it so much, I must be trans.

I'm sorry I can't give more proof. I really wish I could. I heard our queen J.K. Rowling liked the Tweet made about my post, so maybe I'll try sending her a DM on Twitter? I literally never use Twitter so we'll see.

I can't believe this blew up so much <3 thank you so much everyone for your super kind words and all. It really means so much to me. If anyone has any questions about my experience or wants me to elaborate on things, I'll try to, but I'm still trying to keep my identity private as much as I can. <3
