There's pretty much no transbians in black lesbian world so this question isn't even necessary besides to police language and out any thought-criminals. White transbians seem to go after white lesbians the most. Maybe the woke rhetoric won't work on black women, idk. And it'd be a cold day in hell before black men start dressing as women to get laid in any considerable number. I mean nothing is out of the realm of possibility but black people are conservative af so a dude walking around claiming womanhood while trying to date women is going to get roasted every day of his life.

Literally no one wants to dictate who you personally date.

Yeah . . . they just want to make your life hell if you don't comply with their demands.

This commenter is so naive:

I wouldn't date a pre transition transwoman , penis is a turnoff for me. I could see myself dating a fully trans woman, if she passes.

There's no such thing as a male passing as a biological women, especially for lesbians. I'm sure if she knew the actual state of neovaginas and what they are constructed of, that they are not self-cleaning and very prone to bacterial infection and odor, she would have no interest. This is absolutely someone virtue-signaling in fantasy land.

Even seeing a photo of them unsettles me because I can tell that the "vulva" was constructed from scrotum skin.

I once made the same statement, fully aware that they NEVER pass. It is basically a way to say "no" without alarming the woke police.

Black women & black people in general, are not buying into the trans nonsense.

LipstickAlley is always a fun read. I go there when I need cheering up over this insanity. Especially refreshing because of how desperately TRAs want to appropriate Black experience.

Is it a private sub? I can't read anything.

Bc 'biological' women like Caster Semenya,

That's a guy. He has internal balls and has been through male puberty.

I'm not sure if this is the case (and definitely let me know if you find it offensive), but I think it's almost expected that black or POC lesbians should automatically accept of all this gender identity bullshit, because they've been significantly oppressed too and therefore should never oppress transwomen/nb/fringe sexualities.

You’ve never been to LipstickAlley? Black women are not taking any of this BS. Those ladies are very vocal about that.

LipstickAlley

Sounds like I need to add that to my reading list.

"You're Kiddin', Right?" on YouTube is quite enjoyable as well.

OMG I am in LOVE! Thank you for this link.

Everyone seriously stop what you're doing and watch this video now. It's under five minutes. "Dick pandering"! She talks about Chase Strangio on NPR.

Just listened to that, she had me howling (again!). Mentioned before, "You're Kidding, Right?" has become my nightly show. Karen is smart, eloquent, and so funny. Great guitar player too! I love her stories about her life, anecdotes. She's great company. :)

Agreed. Often when some crazy/depressing trans story breaks and sometimes on lesbian stuff too, I browse LSA just to take in the realness. They still get some TWAW proselytizing coming at them but they are just not having it and they do not mince words. And it does not sound needlessly cruel, just like the sane discourse of normal women who have not had their critical thinking skills socialized out of them.

LSA first came on my radar on gender issues in their breaking down the misogynoir of the TWAW discourse, especially that which had been spewed by Laverne Cox who has explicitly blamed black women for male violence against trans-identifying males, which is apparently a PC take in this era.

I haven't heard of it, to be honest. Thank god there's a corner of the internet (besides this one) that isn't putting up with this bullshit.

[–]loveSloaneSuperDuperBi 28 insightful - 1 fun28 insightful - 0 fun29 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

It’s not expected within the back community, other than some places online. I don’t know any black people who aren’t trans themselves who buy into this bullshit irl, in fact all of the older TW i know hate the direction tras are going in and have no problem acknowledging that they aren’t actually women. I know a few younger black trans people, and one “non binary” woman who is the victim of extreme sexual abuse and turned to the non binary ideology out of trauma, and they all complain that their family, friends who aren’t a part of the community, and people they date don’t see them as they wish to be seen.

As others have said, go to lipstickAlley or try the guilt tripping irl and they’d get roasted before they could finish a sentence.

It’s actually infuriating to me when people imply that because I’m black and black people have the history of oppression that we have that I’m somehow obligated to play pretend for trans people.

It may be more likely among teens and very young adults, but even then I don’t think it’s common, just more common than with older generations, if that makes sense.

[–]loveSloaneSuperDuperBi 20 insightful - 2 fun20 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Another thought- I remember when trans people tried to take over the BLM movement and make it about them. It didn’t go well at all.

The Black Lives Matter foundation is heavily TRA, which I imagine many supporters do not know. The organizers stated it on the manifesto that was posted on their website as recently as last year, but it seems they have now rolled the manifesto into a separate site/organization (https://m4bl.org/policy-platforms/end-the-war-trans/). They want gender affirmation starting from birth!

[–]loveSloaneSuperDuperBi 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

How do you even affirm gender from birth?

Isn’t that kind of what they’re upset about? Being “assigned a gender” at birth?

[–]WildApples 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I don't think logical consistency was ever gender ideology's guiding virtue...

People have told you that?? That sounds fucking infuriating. Was that people online or IRL?

edit: Also where I went to college, this was very much the messaging I heard, the "black trans lives matter" above all. I am not black and I have very little sense of black communities' opinions on the transgender movement; my college was very heavily TRA-dominated so I'm not sure how representative it was.

[–]loveSloaneSuperDuperBi 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I’ve only had one black person say that to me, and it was online and she calls herself non-binary. I have had a few white people say it irl, but honestly, unless they are tq+ themselves, I don’t know any black people irl who speak like tras. I’m so glad I was born a generation before this stuff lol. I can’t imagine going to a college full of tras.

[–]reluctant_commenter 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ah gotcha, yeah that must be nice having more age peers who do not buy into transgender ideology. That is pretty awesome that relatively fewer non-TQ black people are pro-TRA. Unfortunately I know many white people IRL who are pro-trans and speak about it regularly, even though they are not TQ (although I kinda wonder how many are just doing it in a performative or virtue-signalling way, lol).

And yeah going to a college full of TRAs kinda sucked, haha. But I will say not everyone is brainwashed, a lot of people don't speak up about their concerns because they would get massively bullied online. I've seen it happen to a few of my former classmates, no joke.

The Woke certainly think they own Black people. "If you don't vote for me, you ain't Black!"

I saw some video from either Seattle or Portland where a young Black woman protester was having an almost peaceful exchange with a Black police officer on the other side of the barricade, and this young white woman barged in to separate them, telling the young Black woman "you don't talk to him!"

I am desperately hoping Black women get some mainstream airtime on trans demands, and I think the whole reason we're not seeing it is the White Woque don't want any POC going off script.

Yeah, this was how people at my college acted about it.

edit: I should add a caveat, my college was very TRA-dominated and I have no idea how representative it was of the average black person's opinion on the transgender movement.

Welp, looks like Reddit is going to lose one more lesbian based sub. Also, why is it OK for there to be a sub which is dedicated to black lesbians, but it's wrong for a sub to be dedicated towards real biological lesbians and let's not get started on the shit storm a sub dedicated towards white lesbians would generate.
