When I was a teen and everyone started coming out as lgbtq+ and all they would talk about was their sexualities/genders, I assumed it was because they recently discovered themselves and were excited.

Half a decade later, with all of them coming out as some new trans flavor every single month, I gotta say I was very, very wrong.

Mildly related, but most people I knew thought Pete buttigieg wasn't really gay because of his politics. Maybe someone should let his husband know?

Most of them drop their gender special/snowflake sexualities once they are over 30. This is all a giant larp for attention.

It's hard to build a personality after all...

I know a few people who've graduated and are in the work force who are like this. Some even are in PhD programs.

Multiple are in therapist programs. I think that makes it worse, somehow.
