Some highlights from the comments

I know it's rough, I've been there. But she's clearly not worth your time.

Yeah! Fuck her for wanting a normal lesbian relationship, utterly pathetic. We real queers take pride in our dysfunctional relationships that are built on lies.

i know its hard buddy but she isnt the right one for you. you deserve to be with someone who sees you for who you truly are, a trans man, and love You. ... side note this kind of thing has happened to me but im always curious why the other person wouldnt at least question their sexuality lmao like breaking news i was trans this whole time and you liked me so sorry to say u are attracted to at least one man lol

Someone's bitter because she painted herself into a corner. "It's invalidating for lesbians to date trans men because I'm a REAL man!" "Wait, why are you leaving??? Aren't you going to change for me???"

She doesn’t love you for you. She loves you for what you represent for her and her identity. That’s not true love. Sorry dude. Show yourself the love you deserve and make space for a person that wants you completely no matter what your physical being looks like.

Love is having no preferences or standards. Oh, and no interests or friends, because your whole existence should be focused on me and validating me. I don't know why I can't get a girlfriend...

consider a queerplatonic relationship ! it’s essentially a committed relationship similar to dating but without some of the romantic/s*xual elements, and you can see other partners because it isn’t dating. just an idea.

Have you tried reframing the concept of friendship so you feel less rejected? That's what I do! It's very healthy and normal.

Sure, while LGB was accused of predation it was mostly unfounded, save for a few twisted individuals that happen to be gay. In contrast, we are actively seeing predators that openly walk amongst the rest of the T, so I'd argue there's more of a basis to these generalizations. Even if they are just that, generalizations.

While I feel LGB did end up leading to a slippery slope, we had no idea that our organizations would be greedy enough to abandon us and look for a new cash cow after we got the right to marry. The T+ movement has already opened the door to the transage movement, as we saw with that one MTF pedophile who claimed he was a small child, and queer theory in general, which is all about destigmatization of sexuality, even if it's repugnant or harmful.

If they had been able to shut up about being trans in LG spaces, the bare minimum, so many people wouldn't have gotten fed up with them. That would take some self restraint, though, and the trans community houses some of the most self indulgent fetishists and narcissists around. Not like it'd be much better for us anyway. Just because you're not constantly demanding trophies for being a beautiful and valid womxn doesn't make you not a creepy man bothering lesbians.

I wonder how many of them are only "trans" online.

This is such a good point, especially with the overlap of trans-identifying teens and teens who fake mental conditions on TikTok/Discord for attention, it's probably a significant amount of them that are also only trans online.

It's funny, the news has actually talked a lot about social contagion in teens this year because of how many girls have magically developed Tourette's in a short period of time but somehow it's impossible that social contagion could be why so many of these girls are trans now.

This article is absolutely bat shit.

What doing sex work has taught me is that most men have either contacted a sex worker, hired a sex worker, or thought about hiring a sex worker. And there’s no shame in that.

Whether it's immoral or not, it seems sort of weird to have to pay for sex.

I have spent my whole life, even outside of sex work, focused on serving and pleasing men, both in and out of bed, and I’m sick of it.

Maybe it's time for a career change if you hate it that much? You clearly seem to have some resources if you're writing HuffPo.

Hiring a professional, as opposed to finding someone at a bar or from a dating app, is more appealing to me because after years of catering to everyone else’s sexual needs,

Again, quit your fucking job.

I want an (almost) guaranteed fun sexual experience, complete with orgasms, without having to engage in a lot of emotional labor.

Have you heard of masturbation?

Sex with women, for me, feels safer, more intimate, and I just enjoy the mechanics of it much more.

Safer? That's a pretty sad adjective...

seeking out this experience felt like an important step in destigmatizing my queerness within myself.

Ladies, do you remember when we all hired prostitutes to destigmatize our sexualities? Me neither.

From doing research outside my area, I know there are providers who are open to queer women, enby or trans clients, but not only is the distance prohibitive for me, most of them charge A LOT more than the average person could afford. This leads me to believe that these services may not be accessible to most women.

Y'know... This might come as a shock but sex can be free.

And if I’m having this much difficulty finding a provider, I can’t imagine what those who are trans or gender-nonconforming would go through. This is systemic within the sex industry.

Oh no! How are trans people supposed to get their life saving and gender affirming prostitutes?! Who will think of the poor trans!

This is exactly why I said LGB events have to start off as a semi exclusive and secret ordeal in reply to that post asking about how to start something like this. I'm also concerned about physical violence, this could get very ugly, very quickly. Your honest opinion on transgenders? by [deleted] in TumblrInAction

[–]lunarstrain 18 insightful - 2 fun18 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

As a concept, I don't like it.

I think it's stupid and medically irresponsible, we already know the detriment caused to people exposed to opposite sex hormones through PCOS and intersex conditions. Hell, even the women who doped up with anabolic steroids in the past showed similar, albeit more plentiful health issues. That's not even talking about the genital surgery which they have enough data on to know there's a high complication rate. Calling it "experimental science" is just a cover for malpractice and both pro- and anti- sides are guilty of this.

The social elements are incredibly grating and repugnant to me. I'd handle it better if I could treat it like a religion and not have to follow their rules when they're not present, but they've concocted such a sob story that people genuinely believe I'm enacting violence by not playing along when they're not even there to witness. This has actually been a driving factor in me learning a gendered language because you fundamentally cannot squeeze any of the nonbinary horse shit in.

The people from my experience have been mostly insufferable but there have been some that were genuinely nice people and that toys with my emotions and sense of guilt. I hate feeling resentment towards them because of their choices, it's like it'd almost be better if they were all assholes.

Ultimately if it is a real psychological condition, I wish the medical industry would stop milking them of all their money and actually treat the root cause.

First, imagine if white people blacked themselves up, called themselves the n-word and rewrote the history and culture of black people (in all its myriad manifestations over thousands of years) to be in line with portrayals in 19th-century minstrel shows. Second, bugger off, bugger off further than that, and then keep buggering off. (But don’t worry – you won’t have to do any actual buggering.)

Completely agree, there's no such thing as a "good" form of transgenderism. Doesn't mean that every single one of them is some kind of deranged lunatic but they're ultimately engaging with an ideology that is incredibly backwards and regressive and relies on a large amount of self deception. Fetishism and consumerism.

You're a teenage girl and you get off on fictional gay men, so much so that you wish you were one, and that has become a foundational part of your sense of self due to weirdo internet leftist ideology being so hortative of make believing and deviancy. You're also very into fandom and because young people are overwhelmed with how much content is easily accessible and not encouraged to develop any meaningful skills, including socially, or hobbies outside of media consumption, what you're currently consuming is also a significant part of your sense of self and how you relate yourself to others.

This is how you end up with an unholy marriage of these two aspects that borders on a manifestation of some kind of mental illness, that we are all forced to witness when we dare look up our favorite TV shows, books, and movies.

Brief History on Pride

The first pride parades started in 1970, but Rivera and other transgender people were discriminated against and discouraged from participation.

WE OWE PRIDE TO BLACK AND TRANSGENDER WOMEN WHO THREW BRICKS AT COPS.

I have no idea if Rivera was discouraged from participating in Pride but it seems unlikely and Rivera was known for lying. The second part is completely false, though.

Edit: Looked into it and it's even more rewriting of history. This part is a little hazy and not from particularly reliable sources, but what I could find seems to say that a lot of feminists at the time found drag misogynistic and since there was a big crossover between feminists and lesbians, drag queens were asked to march at the end of the Christopher Street Liberation Day march. Rivera and Johnson's group, Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries aka S.T.A.R. put themselves at the front of the march in protest.

The difference is Toph has depth, doesn't take herself too seriously, and isn't invincible.

TLDR: This is satirical and she is in no way trying to make her kids actually homosexual, she's just using that idea to illustrate how parents assume their kids are heterosexual and make comments, some inappropriate. Oh, and some talk about "Don't Say Gay". I'm sure the provocative title is there to drum up interest/outrage and to dunk on people who didn't bother to read anything other than the headline. Not saying that it's a great practice. /end

I agree that those baby onesies are in bad taste, I think it's fucking weird to have your baby dressed in "I ❤️ Boobies".

However, I don't think it's the end of the world for people to assume heterosexuality in others, as statistically they're probably right. As long as they can take being wrong well and for parents, they make sure to show they're okay with homosexuality. The only time I was ever bothered was when I was being projected upon, like when I was young and adults said that random little boys were my boyfriends.

My mom made a point to explain gay and lesbian to me when the topic came up while we were watching home designing shows in a normal, accepting, and age appropriate way. She never shied away from talking about people we knew being in same sex relationships, either. So, coming out to her wasn't a big deal for me.

For a little more background, this is a manga called Junjou Romantica. It has three awful depictions of gay romance and it's been ongoing since 2002. It was developed into an anime in 2008, which skyrocketed its popularity among young western girls. I remember it remained popular until sometime in 2014. As you can tell, the art is terrible and usually the covers, like this one, have the best illustrations. There's tons of teddy bears and cutesy crap all throughout. Oh, and of course it was written by a woman.

I share this because I can't help but laugh at this ugly garbage being so titillating to so many teenage/tweenage girls who are now adult "men".

I have never seen anyone, in my life, refuse to recognize the Final Fantasy series as games. These sound like niche arguments on dumbass subreddits or something. It's also stupid to say that because a plot is lighter in tone it's more attractive to teenage girls. Do we have a chance to survive if another terminally online TIM throws their users at us, at SaidIt, or at CloudFlare?

Depends on how big the campaign is, honestly. Kiwi Farms had rumors floating around that they had been responsible for the death of multiple TIPs for years now, not true but a very seductive lie to a lot of the internet. That helped make it all the much more simple to remove them. The site we're on right now doesn't have that great of a reputation, but nowhere near as universally hated by TIPs.

It also helps that Drop The T is an actual movement, meaning we have in-person groups, too. So whatever happens to us online, it won't put a stop to our organizations and get togethers. If they didn't phrase stuff like that, this would be a decent article, in my opinion. It's about how sexuality and gender role adherence/defiance impact education and therefore income.

Very interesting to see how much more academically inclined and financially successful gay men are, at least according to this.

This might sound extreme to some people but when you remember the origin of a lot of shit was a pedophile (John Money) whose abuse made his patient and the patient's brother eventually commit suicide as they could no longer carry the emotional burden, it sounds pretty reasonable.

Sick fuck was awarded an absurd amount of honors, degrees, and actual awards. His abuse masquerading as science has been cited over 2 thousand times and translated into numerous languages. There's no avoiding that pedophilia is deeply rooted in trans ideology and that makes this even more terrifying.

Immediately thought it was going to be a woman in a diaper from the small thumbnail. Glad I was wrong about that aspect but it doesn't stop the rest of it from being so off-putting and borderline homophobic, unfortunately for us who aren't total coombrained weirdos. We're already having issues of all age drag events making us look like creeps, an ageplay fetishism cover seems in really bad taste.

BTW, for anyone who is curious, this is a biological male, not a TIF.

Don't know if I can continue living in a world of the Trans Ideology by Kai_Decadence in LGBDropTheT

I'm sorry life has been so unkind, I can relate. It can be really difficult to see a future for yourself when you're so isolated from other people. It's good to hear that you have a goal for the near future, that's such an important and valuable motivator when you're dealing with depression like this.

I really recommend you look for a therapist if you can afford it, not all of them will try to forcibly trans you. I found one that understands that masculine women and feminine men exist. If you live in a woke place, look online. Video therapy offers a lot more options and you can even look for therapists that specialize in gay and lesbian issues but not trans. Your life has value beyond martyrdom even if it doesn't seem like it right now.

I recently got the opportunity to sit in on a friend's online psychology class where they talked about the condition and the professor made a point to say multiple times that it's a controversial diagnosis. From what I read in the past, some psychologists feel that the symptoms of DID have too much overlap with things like Borderline Personality Disorder and Schizophrenia to properly diagnose it as a separate condition.

You're totally right that if it is a real condition it is nothing like what TikTok portrays. I've seen PTSD dissociative episodes which are somewhat similar and they can get very ugly.

Straight woman choosing to wear a dress to her wedding is suddenly a “queer” issue. by julesburm1891 in LGBDropTheT

All this whinging because she wanted to wear a light blue simplistic dress instead of a tux or gown. This story would've been more meaningful if it were about her fear of breaking tradition or something, but she spends all this time talking about how she's neither feminine nor masculine and then decides to wear one the most feminine articles of clothing you can. A waste of words.

I just disliked my body shape, particularly my boobs.

It's always the boobs. Somehow disliking single secondary sex characteristic means you need surgery and affirmation immediately. Perfectly illustrates how shallow of a concept it is!

I'm worried about AGB, I don't think it has much longer.

Reddit banned the majority of the mods of Cringetopia with no warning, for the crime of allowing trans critical comments/content. They did this so they could either 1. ban the sub for lack of moderation or 2. implement their own trans mods. I bring this up because the moderation is already intentionally lax on AGB, so I would not be surprised if it were banned/the owner is banned in the near future for lack of moderation.

Can we just redefine "transphobia" the way they redefine words for their own purpose? by JohnWhy in LGBDropTheT

[–]lunarstrain 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think we even need to redefine it. They're doing the work for us by alienating all sensible people and then crying transphobia. Anyone who has been on the receiving end of this behavior knows that it doesn't hold much weight and does not inherently mean that the accused wants to genocide trans individuals.

I don't know why she couldn't have done a photo with only her draped in the flag. Her husband could be in the photo, too, with his arm wrapped around her. This would both assert her bisexuality for that sweet social media attention and show that he loves and supports her.

Edit: Not to say that bisexual people can't talk about being bisexual if they're in a straight relationship. It just feels weird and attention grabbing to post something like this to social media.
