TLDR: This is satirical and she is in no way trying to make her kids actually homosexual, she's just using that idea to illustrate how parents assume their kids are heterosexual and make comments, some inappropriate. Oh, and some talk about "Don't Say Gay". I'm sure the provocative title is there to drum up interest/outrage and to dunk on people who didn't bother to read anything other than the headline. Not saying that it's a great practice. /end

I agree that those baby onesies are in bad taste, I think it's fucking weird to have your baby dressed in "I ❤️ Boobies".

However, I don't think it's the end of the world for people to assume heterosexuality in others, as statistically they're probably right. As long as they can take being wrong well and for parents, they make sure to show they're okay with homosexuality. The only time I was ever bothered was when I was being projected upon, like when I was young and adults said that random little boys were my boyfriends.

My mom made a point to explain gay and lesbian to me when the topic came up while we were watching home designing shows in a normal, accepting, and age appropriate way. She never shied away from talking about people we knew being in same sex relationships, either. So, coming out to her wasn't a big deal for me.

Well said. Agreed with all your points. I saw that incendiary title on Twitter, made a comment like many others, and was about to move on without searching for the article if someone there hadn't convinced me otherwise. Clickbait like this, while it gets attention, is also likely to get people to skip reading it and post a pic of just the title as a kind of "AHA!" to get a mass kneejerk reaction, which is what happened in this case. Still, I can't say it's wrong to do when the last few paragraphs leave no room for misinterpretation, providing one actually gets around to reading it.

Isn't that a milk thing? Babies do love boobies, that's where their food, comfort, stress relief, sleep hormones and antibodies come from. They can literally smell it and even formula fed babies, several months old can get very excited when held by a woman who is producing milk. Whilst breastfed babies tend to get excited by every pair of boobs they are near.

It is, but it's typically treated as a double entendre, especially on male babies, so it's kind of off-putting.
