I mean let's be real, a lot of Republicans have probably been wanting to ban discussion of any sort on sexuality anyway, regardless of what the jendah crowd was doing. The gender nonsense just gives them a good excuse to do it. They don't distinguish between sexuality and gender identity because they don't care to. Anything that isn't 100% straight and gender-conforming is "gay".

To be honest, everything I've read that's actually from the bill seems pretty reasonable. The sections quoted in the news just say that schools can't teach age inappropriate sexual orientation/gender material and it allows a legal path for parents if schools violate that. It's actually kind of shocking that schools in other states can teach peoples' children whatever they want about sex and gender and there's just no recourse for parents.

That's what I've gotten from it too. It's not about "don't say gay", it's about literal children being indoctrinated into things that are age-inappropriate, like sexuality and gender identity.

It's being called "don't say gay" because the US media has billions of dollars and influence from politicians and billionaires. They want to brainwash all of us, and are using LGB since that's a hot-button topic. TQ+ is using LGB as a shield for their own efforts, so media and politicians are capitalizing on us and even them.

It's propaganda.

Non-LGB society sees LGB and TQ+ as the same thing because we're all the alphabet soup. So if adults and teachers are trying to open toddler's minds to sex and/or gender, that's all of our letters (to them).

I don't blame conservatives at all for fighting it. Non-conservatives may have different and equally valid reasons for opposing it though.

For me, it's about the introduction of pedophilia, that's the slippery slope. I'll sit in my shitty conservative-assigned gender role for the rest of my life, but I WILL FIGHT against pedos/MAPs.

But here's the thing. Conservatives don't want pedos. Liberals don't want pedos. Everyone says pedos are bad, except pedos. So who or what are bringing that into this, and why aren't we focusing on them instead of all this in-fighting?

That's my same take on the bill as well. The law doesn't ban children from talking about their families in schools. It's just that you cannot talk about any sexual orientation in schools because children cannot process sexuality.

Most people who aren't gay don't know anything about it and the gender types have successfully branded all of us as LGBTQ so we seem linked in their eyes.

They can't seem to distinguish between sexuality and gender identity.

Alot of people can't because we are all lgbt people now. one big collective identity, which was intentional. Too many of these teachers wrapped in rainbows in their classes don't distinguish between the two either, they are pushing inappropriate conversations about pronouns and gender based attraction.

Doesn't "Don't Say Gay" only apply to primary school? It's terrible that LGB has been so conflated with TQ+ that we've been tangled up in all of this but with how queer theory is, even without the gender stuff specifically, I don't think I'd trust any woke teacher to teach young, impressionable kids about sexuality in a healthy way.

I'm republican, sorry to make anyone uncomfortable.

They're have been schools where they were talking to the kids behind their parents back and offering help and encouragement to transgenders. They're have been children's books with very explicit material that alarmed parents. I think the school shouldn't be teaching kids about LGBT things, especially secretly behind parents backs.
