A shame. I can't say I was crazy about Trump but I was disappointed when Biden won because I knew how much worse things were going to get for LGB.

it was a tough choice for those on the left, not liking trump but knowing Biden would go full sjw with gender ideology.

I have to call bullshit on that; they knew EXACTLY how Biden was going to go; Biden and co. were pushing the Equality Act throughout the campaign yet people on the left who are wary about the gender ideology nonsense still chose Biden. People thought the circus would end once Trump was gone; all it did was get worse and more expensive to boot.

2017-2021 is a real study in mass psychology and the power of media. Millions and millions of people were convinced by a relentless onslaught of mostly bullshit news that one man who literally just showed up in DC was responsible for EVERY single problem and that by putting people who had been there for decades back into power, all would be well. And people bought it hook, line and sinker.

That pretty much sums up trump derangement syndrome. anything at all as lomg as he was gone. I replied to someone's comment here awhile back, they were afraid of losing abortion rights under Trump, which I understood. I felt the loss of sex based rights would be far worse, so i asked them about it. They said abortion would be a big loss to reverse, but the gender stuff they could somehow convince democrats that they were wrong about all the gender ideology. It seemed naive to me, because I could see the whole party went full on SJW/woke ideology. Now they call that trans woman first FEMALE admiral, and none of the women in leadership seemed to have a problem with it.

IMO, basing one's vote solely on abortion rights is really silly. If Roe is overturned, abortion gets kicked back to the states, many of which will codify abortion's legality into law. Getting one may be inconvenient, but it is still less difficult/costly than raising a kid. Also, it is 2022, there are plenty of ways to not get pregnant in the first place. The gender shit is being done at the federal level, so if that gets passed, it is game over, there is no going back, it is game over for women and everyone else for that matter who will now be at the mercy of the TQ alphabet mafia who are always on the lookout for someone to persecute for a thoughtcrime.

They thought that someone/some group could convince the dems to reverse course on the gender ideology ? I'll have whatever that person is drinking.

Yeah I don't see why someone here of all places, wouldn't see that.

Here's is the thing: Democrats have been exploiting this fear for years, and it's old now.

They don't care about women getting unsafe abortions.

They just care about staying in power.

This is something that I wished more people realised. The Democrats don't actually give a shit about any of the causes they claim to champion. They don't really believe in gay rights, immigration, BLM, trans people, or the poor, they just want you to vote for them. Same for the Republicans. The people in power care about one thing and one thing only, and that thing is wealth and power.

There does seem to be no sane middle ground anymore in any western country.

I felt bad for the Americans during the last election (and, indeed, several previous ones) because it really was a choice between the lesser of two evils.

We were given two buffoons. Neither of whom could speak a coherent sentence,, keep their hands off women, keep their foot out of their mouth, or account for a tendency towards racist comments.
