The concept of discussing how different forms of oppression stack is decent but it quickly devolved into seeing "points of oppression" as "oppression points". The first is discussing different ways a person is disadvantaged, the second is looking for ways to rack up a high score. On top of that, they see a high score as morally virtuous instead of a state of being. The higher your score the more virtue you have. For straight people and young gays, I want people to know how nefarious some of this stuff is. Lots of the stuff in this article really makes me mad because it seems very innocuous but it's a very postmodern / 1984 thought control by manipulating language situation.

"Genders and Sexualities Alliances, or GSAs, were established as safe spaces for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, and any individual to come together with the goals of ensuring inclusivity, safety, and support.

This is a bit infuriating because the GSA is supposed to be the "gay straight alliance". It's basically a club for making gay kids feel less depressed about being gay by bringing in straight kids and normalizing that friendship dichotomy. It is not sexual at all.

With their postmodern bullshit they are undefining and redefining the club into making it all about "genders and sexualities" which is implying it's cutting out straight people or trying to convince straight people that they have some obscure gender. There is also a bit of a secret push by these people to eliminate terms like gay and bisexual etc in order to fully eliminate the way people think about homosexuality as a sex based attraction. If you look over at the "LGBT" subreddit, their header is as follows:

They are basically moving this new term GSRM to the front while trying to move LGBT to the back. Currently they are at the stage of referring to it as a "popular term" for the "real" term which completely removes the capacity to discuss or even think about homosexuality in terms of sexual dimorphism. This is truly in the style of 1984. To the new gays and straights not really paying attention, GSRM is fucking propaganda designed to change the way people think about sex and gender at the most root level.

It was basically the religious right and fox news complaining that there were 2 dads in a commercial about a random product. Gays were not trying to gain acceptance through acting up in commercials. We basically made sexuality incidental to the person not the center stage. The commercials I can think of were selling a product and sometimes you would see a representation of a family and there happened to be what appeared to be 2 dads etc...

The most down to earth MtF i know fully understood how bad surgery was and could joke around a bit but eventually ghosted the group after demanding i apologize because i said "her" boyfriend was not straight. The other friend in the group would constantly fumble over pronouns but i would say "they" to avoid causing problems. It turns out he was apparently counting up every time i said "they" so whenever it got to the point that i refused to apologize for saying the boyfriend was "not straight" I got hit with the box full of "you never make a mistake and call me he so using they every time is even more transphobic".

Prior to that I knew 2 gay guys who were dating at university. One of them transitioned but they didn't break up. This MtF was always a bit irrational and would be sitting there normally then suddenly pop off over nothing. So this acquaintance didn't break up with the new MtF but i think once again it was another example where the MtF was mad that the guy wouldn't call himself straight. Eventually it caused a physical altercation and the MtF went after him with a knife in the dorms. The school did nothing about it so he got a restraining order and the MtF wasn't allowed in the same building as him. This is how i found out about it. I walked into the LGBT center and the newly hired ultra brainwormed staff were out loud discussing how bad they felt for the MtF and being critical of the guy for getting the police involved.

Prior to that a different gay friend hooked up with a FtM then jokingly said on social media that he finally lost his virginity. No mention of any names or anything. The FtM saw this and freaked out over the implication that this was heterosexual sex. That person ended up withdrawing from all classes and being put on suicide watch because she had sax with a guy and he later implied it was straight sex.

So for me it's just people freaking out over the gay vs straight labels even if they act reasonably otherwise (the first 2 weren't reasonable otherwise). The most recent was but then turned on a dime.

My perception of this is that unnatural colors give a perception of detaching the person from nature. This is especially true for blue hair because it's so detached from appearing human or natural. It's perhaps a subconscious thing and somewhat related to how i observe "coming out" as gay vs as trans. Coming out as gay usually involves some kind of acceptance of yourself as you are where "coming out" as trans involves a full rejection of yourself as you are in place of an imagined avatar in your mind. It's almost a full rejection of biology and humanity itself. So many of them dive in with the very unflattering decorations on their body and I think it is like a full rejection of a human image so as to obscure their actual sex because they realize that they can't trick people into seeing them as the opposite sex. The unnatural colors are like a way to cope with an inability to force your human body to match the imagined avatar.

There was a definition for this called circumgender. Basically it meant you wish you were born the opposite sex so that you could have transitioned to the same sex you are now but could be trans.

I'm 99.9% sure this was defined on urban dictionary at some point but when I go check now it says that word doesn't exist. Also if I Google "urban dictionary circumgender", I get redirected to the "cisgender" definition which seems really suspicious like AlQueerida got to them already. It seems like that time someone put a change . org petition up for LGB drop the T and Google decided to disappear that from the internet where you would not get a single result. Even if you googled the direct url to the petition it wouldn't give you a link in the results but instead put tons of pink news articles about how transphobic old gay civil rights leaders were.

Right now the only Google link that appears to reference what circumgender is comes from an "asexual" website where they're talking about "demisexuals" and they are discussing the dilemma that "demisexuals are under the trans umbrella so a female could be considered a type of transwomen." This is something i started a LONG time ago but i ended up spending lots of time back then figuring out a format to pull everything together so it could be shown in a reasonable way. Then sifting through the crime stats took some time and at that point i got that foundation ready and then put it aside forever. I have some free time this week and decided to pull these old files back up and here we are.

Originally i wanted to put this together because there was a constant "trans genocide" narrative and simultaneously a "cishet white males are oppressors" narrative. Keep that in mind and notice that gay men have been and are the most at risk group in the crime stats. One other thing is that i just finished this and i have not looked int other methodology of the stats. My initial suspicion is that much of the anti-(gender identity) stats are actually anti gay man stats being hidden by the self perception of the person who the crime was against. Like when you talk about a guy who might punch a "man in a dress", the assailant is doing it because "this guy is a fa***t" but the cops get called and the person is like "i got punched because transphobia."

This isn't really true unless you consider feminism to be all the things that every person cumulatively refers to as feminism today. The radfems have always been anti-man and this exact reason is why they became the canary in the coal mine and then the front lines against TRAs. That's a good point about pharma but it only explains the public advertising part. The oldest argument I can remember was around 2000-2005 with some self described HIV advocate who argued against the concept of criminally charging people who knowingly have HIV but hide it from partners. I thought it was going to be "criminalization is too much" but nooo that person went all the way to the person should never need to tell anyone.

The argument was that requiring disclosure of HIV status would cause people to stop getting tested because they could get away with plausible deniability of not knowing since the criminality was centered around knowingly transmitting.

Most people who don't know about trans dogma actually do this. I had a similar issue with being a science major in my last year. (Not obnoxious queer types but obnoxious lazy types). It's because my course load is so prerequisite heavy that it's almost impossible to take all the gen ed classes before the senior year. I asked around and found an English teacher who was some hippie ex-burnout who would make the class easy. All you had to do was pay attention and participate in her class and she would make the class easy.

The students were mostly art and gen ed majors and they were always bitching about the class and the teacher. This was the easiest and most chillaxed class I had taken at school. The teacher was 5 minutes late once and that one corner of students is trying to organize a full walkout "if we all leave she can't say anything". I just shut it down instantly saying i wasn't leaving since I need the class to finish my GenEd requirements. The look on her face was funny as hell.

He's clearly doing something similar to "ban evading" in online communities but it's still on the school for not outright banning him. They basically tried to ghost him by not rehiring because no one wanted to explicitly ban him from working there. Then he changed his name to sneak back in so his motivations are clearly slimy but also not really illegal. The school couldn't even bring themselves to fire him.

When I was in school, not once did a PE teacher or coach come into the locker rooms to change while students were in there. Perhaps people on various sports teams have a different experience? The only time i remember an adult coming into the student changing area was when a kid slipped in the shower the teacher came in and escorted him out and had him get dressed in private.

Perhaps someone from the UK can explain, but i don't even understand how mermaids has the ability to try and use the court to revoke the charity status of a different organization. Courts in the US usually are obsessed about "standing". Basically the person bringing a case needs to prove they are harmed. The article here makes it appear that mermaids had no standing but the LGB alliance was still dragged through the courts.

I say the US courts "usually" care about standing because lately everything is being politicized and the SCOTUS just issued a ruling on student loans despite there being no standing. The claim of standing was on behalf of the student loan company which explicitly said it didn't want to be part of the case and somehow the court just allowed it. I think the difference there is that everyone knew gays existed and they weren't considered "crazy." For example the popular TV show in the 70s "Threes Company" had the premise that the landlord did not allow unmarried mixed sex roommates in his apartments. There were 3 women in this apartment and one moves out. This guy needed a room but the landlord didn't allow it so the guy pretends to be gay and he allows it. Gays certainly were not widely accepted but it wasn't like no one knew what they were.

Fast forward to 1991 and you get silence of the lambs and that seems like the only mainstream portrayal of a transexual that I can think of. They were also shown as sex workers in other contexts but I can't think of a sitcom which tried to portray them as common.

The big problem is that Title 9 keeps getting messed with. No one has changed the law but Obama, Trump, and Biden have kept putting out policies which say they will "interpret" Title 9 differently so schools freak out that they could be in violation of Title 9. The craziest part is that each interpretation is POLAR OPPOSITE of the other. The law was literally written to give protection based on "sex" and it says so in the law very clearly. No one ever had any confusion on what the law said until Obama came along and said they were going to interpret the law to mean the exact opposite of what it says. TLDR --- I ran into something similar some years ago when i had to grade exams as a grad student proctor. We had an issue where student athletes were being given crazy favoritism and privileges. It wasn't race based but a way to protect their sports team from having mass expulsion.

Long:

What ended up happening is we caught kids in the athletics program cheating in a very easy elective science class final. This class was designed for this exact type of person so they could get their required science credits with little effort. They got the final exam on day 1 of the semester. It was basically "you will learn about 100 things over the semester and on the final you need to come in and write down 10 of them." On the final we hand each person 10 blank sheets to fill out. In our department we proctors generally treated all the students as adults and gave them the benefit of the doubt around seating and using the toilet. This final starts and all the athletics students take seats at one table way up top and in the middle where it wasn't easy to access. At some point the proctors started to notice that group acting suspicious. They were basically writing up one section on the paper then sliding papers around and answering each other's tests. We decided to split up the group as we caught it but they all refused to move and it was starting to cause a scene. We ended up opting not to cause a scene so we just watched them. What they actually did was each wrote their name on 10 pages then they all swapped pages at the beginning so they would answer the same question over and over with different names. And you wouldn't notice because they only did the paper shuffle at the beginning. And you would never think of checking all 10 pages they hand in for the same name.

At the end they were coming up and started fanning out their stacks and sliding them into the piles of exams but between all of the proctors we were able to figure out all the names. It was easier because if one of them placed the papers into a pile we might get a list of 10 names. The professor and i think the department was totally on our side but the university itself stepped in and blocked us from failing the students. Basically they were looking at the idea of expelling multiple sports teams all at once and they took the power away from us to do anything about it.

If this happened to me today i might have been tempted to leak the information. At the time i actually believed them when the university claimed they were going to discipline the athletes internally & i actually was like "yeah we don't want to create a scandal for our school." Now I would say fuck this corrupt institution.
