Transgenderism has claimed several people I have known over the years. It's horrible.

And it claimed them as grown men! Not as kids, as men!

What causes this? Psychiatric or psychological problems? Brainwashing? I heard there is a kind of porn that turns your transgender. Or is it a form of demonic possession, some sort of evil spirit that does it, and a Catholic priest would need to be called in to kick the demon out?

What causes grown men to suddenly turn into self harming penis mutilators?

What are the stages of illness and how does it progress?

Does it end in suicide?

Is there a way to cure it? Therapy? Logical argument? Do they need an exorcism?

Men who transition later in life are usually autogynephiles. (AGP). Lots of these men have an extremely toxic and sexist view of women already, basically seeing women as sex objects. They are heterosexual and possibly porn obsessed. Somehow their sexual fetish for objectifying women migrates over to a sexual fetish of seeing themselves as the sex objet woman. This is why these people end up being the really creepy ones. They don't just want to be a woman, they get a sexual thrill by forcing other people to see them dressed up as a woman. They like to go on Reddit and talk about how they get erections by putting on female clothing then claiming to know women also get sexually aroused by putting on a dress.

The men and boys who transition early are usually the HSTS variety. (HomoSexualTransSexual). This seems to have a wider range of reasons. Some of them project a vibe of failed men because they are effeminate or just because they fail the gender role of "man" by not being attracted to women. This gender role failure is the reason this group fits into extremist religious right ideologies. Pat Robertson and Ayatollah Khameneh have weird alignment that "gay bad but trans ok" because being gay breaks gender but being trans fits into the culture.

Well, I'm not clicking your link for obvious reasons, but I'll take your word for it.

You say 9 year old look alike. I wonder whether pedophilic tendencies figure into this equation. Could it be that some trannies might be trannies because they have destroyed their minds with abominable images? Look at drag queen story hour for instance, they seem like child abusers.

I doubt most trans are into kids, but could this be a fourth type of tranny nobody has ever classified yet?

One man I know was a successful man who was very manly. He was a martial arts instructor, he had a wife, and now he thinks he's a chick and he is a hideous sight to behold.

He was a strong, great man. WTF????

I doubt porn did it, since he's married so he has a wife to dump his sperm in.

It is confusing as hell. Some people speculate it could be chemicals in the water or food supply.

I would suspect porn though. That said, even if he actually didn't seek it out, much of mainstream media has been pornified with fetishistic trans imagery and erotic performances appearing almost everywhere in mainstream media and online.

It may simply be that there is some % of men who have autogynephilic tendencies if triggered. Previously social taboos kept it mostly in the closet, and prevented it from spreading as easily as it does today.

I think they are the true believers, and they are extremely disproportionately overrepresented in positions of wealth and power. I think the rest - the majority of trans/queer - are confused people who have been swept into this catch-all transhumanist snake oil fad. Or they are just low level grifters. Sometimes both.

Honestly, it may not just be some % of men who have autogynephilic tendencies, but also media taking those further than it could be. Like, of that percentage of men who may have autogynephilic tendencies, the majority of them would likely take it no further than "okay, so you like wearing softer, silkier underwear and end up starting to wear women's underwear to get that feel you want, but you don't get aroused by it and you don't take it any further than that" who would just be "a little weird but basically harmless in society, but as society puts out so much acceptance, it eventually will make someone think they're not good enough to be manly if they do this minor trait so they must be trans, but they're also not a true trans because they only do this so they have to get more and more extreme with it to show they're one of the group.

I think we just used to refer to those people as cross dressers and it was a fairly well known trope that they did it explicitly as a sexual activity and kept it in their own bedroom. The whole trans glamorization brought those people out and now they are pushing that their sexual fetish is an "identity". It seemed like the HSTS people rode the coat tails of the gay rights movement but the AGPs were flying in right behind them in a big trojan horse and right behind them were the "I'm so special with my identity" teenagers who would have been goth in the previous generation.

The irony is that most of the AGP cross dressers were heterosexual men with a fetish who wanted NOTHING to do with gay rights from the 1960s through the 1990s. Then, once gay rights started making strides in the 2000s, they decided to hijack it for their own ends. And they decided the way to do it was to rewrite the history of gay rights, putting themselves at the center. That's really a big part of what peaked me, the overwhelming, deliberate dishonesty of it all.

Irony depends a lot on point of view. In this case, I think it's the contrast between their historic homophobia and their current claims that they were always at the center of the gay rights movement, which wouldn't have happened without them doing all the work.

The literature on where AGP comes from is vague. I saw one study that found that many AGPs had mothers with borderline personality disorder, but that's not the only way to this insanity. Being very manly is no hindrance for AGP, as it claims all types. Like world record powerlifter and bodybuilder Matthew (now Janae Marie) Kroczaleski.

You think married men don't look at porn? What planet have you been living on? If you read their own posts on Reddit, these guys will tell you explicitly, "I discovered my trans identity by watching porn." And, specifically, it's sissification porn.

I've started to become glad that when I was growing up, the closest to porn you could easily get was watching R-rated movies if your parents had Showtime cable.

My opinion is that being trans, whatever that means, isn't a thing in itself. It is always a sympton of another thing.

For young girls it's a reaction to being sexualised or sexually assaulted, to escape femininity.

For young boys it could be homophobic parents treating them as a girl, it could be a reaction to seeing how girls get preferential treatment.

For most "trans kids" (I hate the term) their issues resolve themselves after puberty, when the crazy hormones and changes have settled down and their minds become more mature. But when doctors and TRAs tell them that perfectly natural fears about bodily changes, and a dislike of your body during puberty, are actually evidence of you being the other sex, and that "bexoming trans" solves this, then of course the kids would jump at it. Puberty sucks for most people at some point.

As for the adults...

There are no old women suddenly becoming men.

And for older men it's usually a reaction of sexual excitement at the idea of being a woman. This is the "euphoria" people speak of. It feels good to them, feels right, so they have a compulsion to continue. Denying them their fantasy kills their euphoria boner.

This sexual fetish is called autogynephilia.

The only way to treat the symptom is to trest the cause. "Being trans" isn't the problem, but it is a problem because it isna symptom of something else wrong.

And what that wrong thing is is different for each person.

There are no old women suddenly becoming men.

While 'old' is relative I know of three women in their 30s/40s, all mothers, who are calling themselves men now. They are all friends of friends, two started the NB to transmasc to 'man' train around the time their youngest went to school, the third decided she was a man shortly after becoming a mother. One of the first two is married to a woman, the other two are married to men. At least one of them has a 'transkid.' The first two have always struck me as quite narcissistic. I don't really know the third woman but I wonder if she's having some sort of post partum psychosis, either way I feel extremely sorry for her baby and husband.

It's probably the smallest demographic of the transing population, but for a certain type of narc woman who likes to control those around her, transing is a powerful weapon to wield.

The problem is puberty blockers and the pretty much full scale abandonment of "wait and see" approach. over 90% of childhood gender dysphoria self corrects during puberty, put a kid on blockers and it seems to not self correct at all. But disturbingly the fact that puberty blockers causes a temp issue to continue and that is seen as good thing...

Personally I think its going to be this generations thalidomide baby scandal or maybe Lobotomy.
