The mod actually posted a good explanation. Basically reddit is so ideologically bent in favor of TRA ideology that the mods need to be very ban heavy on that topic or the reddit admins will come lock the sub or ban the mods. It's pretty obvious that happens considering we are here on saiddit but it points out many mods are not ideologically bent but are trying to keep their sub from getting banned.

There was, a long while back, a list circulating on Reddit that showed who most of the ideologue mods are, and what subs they control. Reddit obviously didn't like that list floating around, and shut down any post or comment that featured it; it was around the time of the Challenor mess, and Reddit's dirty laundry flapping out for all to see was getting their damage control working overtime.

But the actual problem mods were a surprisingly small number in total, I don't think it was even more than a hundred or so. But the number of subs that they controlled was a lot bigger, and gave them a ridiculous level of reach.

I believe the mod because that's essentially how TiA got banned. The TiA mods at the time were actually relatively lenient and allowed a lot more types of discussion than they were supposed to. And they tried to warn us multiple times that certain discussions will put the subreddit in danger of being banned, especially with AHS targeting us.

But I think it probably worked out for the best because, IMO TiA doesn't work unless there's freedom of discussion. Which makes Reddit the wrong place for it. I just wish Saidit wasn't such a ghost town.

I personally feel that a big part of the old TiA's downfall--which would have happened regardless, we were always in the crosshairs as soon as Reddit went full retarded--was the radfems coming in and setting up shop. Reddit's troons and TRAs wanted to get into women's spaces (in every possible sense of that term) and the radfems were the main opponent in that goal. So when the refugees from the previous round of sub purges rolled into TiA, that bumped us way up on the hitlist.

Man.... I miss TiA. It was fun times.

I modded an alt sub for a while. We put in some effort to try to appease the mods but we were always doomed to get shut down. I don't know how someone who isn't woke could mod a sub there for 7 years. They must really believe in the cause of staying on Reddit.

That, or their sub is just so far removed from potential IdPol silliness (by accident or intent) that it's not worth hassling, and the mods can basically just cruise the actual mod part of running things there.

The transhumanist money trail should be required reading for any conspiracy theorist.

Some people just want to browse a subreddit about gardening or tech. I'm sure the mods of a Linux sub don't mind swatting every thread even tangentially related to politics.

Unfortunately reddit is becoming better as a source of information than Google in many cases. There's so many god damn bots that have figured out how to push their results to the top of a Google search but the results are like "top 10 X of 2024" and it basically an advertisement for some products with ads layered on top. Like if I am looking for info on a specific Nvidia driver for example reddit ends up being more helpful than Google BUT the funny part is the reddit search feature is ass so you need to Google a reddit search to hit the results.

Reddit's "Anti-Evil Operations" team

If you ever wondered at the approximate mental age of the people controlling what you see and say on Reddit, this right here is a big clue. Because that's some straight middle-schooler syndrome shit.

now where's that Reddit mod rant about how we shouild all be thanking them they're not just acting like petty mind-reading censorious tyrants, but that we're getting their service for free?

Oh wow, wo-wo-wo... wow. Reddit is dead. The moderation just admitted site-wide rules went to shit. Disobey? Your supervisor gets manually replaced on your dictatorship.

Watch activists ruin a site that was popular for entertainment and laid-backness...

The solution: DON'T USE REDDIT. Shocking, I know.

Yeah, but theres no real TiA platform anymore. I hopped to this one when r/TiA got banned and I deleted my reddit account, but its pretty dead here. I used to go on TiA daily and look at hundreds of posts, now I check this weekly because theres maybe 2 posts per day

Well, it's true. I've seen the nutcases take control of saidit while normal people left. There's still a few good people here, but they're strongly outnumbered by the weirdos. I wonder why it happened. At first, Saidit was promising.

What timeframe is that? Elon's Twitter restored a lot of gender critical and woke critical accounts.

He's left some prominent gender-critical activists harshly shadowbanned, though - notably Graham Linehan and KJK, despite being quick to restore US right-wing accounts.

Even shadowbanned Twitter accounts get a lot more visibility and interaction than here.
