And that tacked-on bit is the bit that they want to emphasize, but they present it as coming from someone in a completely unrelated field to give it more weight; "oh yes, No-Name the Economist thinks such-and-such about the recent interest rate changes, and wants you to know that these interest rates negatively affect queer businesses, costing marginalized groups safe spaces to associate..."
