Bizarre rise in sex crimes among women by WildApples in GenderCritical

Lesbians keep warning each other about how common domestic violence is becoming in "lesbian" relationships. Can you guess why the sudden increase is happening? Hint: it's not women.

Interestingly I keep hearing about the sudden rapid rise in domestic violence in lesbian relationships and by lesbians. Turns out this sharp increase started once police had to start listing offenders as their preferred sex and increased again once they started letting male prisoners self-identify as women and go to women's prison.

I would consider voting non-Democrat if a 3rd party had a good chance of winning and I wasn't splitting the ticket, but I would never vote Republican. I disagree on too many of their policies and issues to want them in power. Generally I agree with Democrat policies and values, but I would prefer more emphasis on protections for women, universal healthcare, less military spending, free education and healthcare, universal living wage, etc. Republicans don't want the same things I want and I am deeply suspicious of their olive-branch with trans stuff.

  • the economy (in particular the cost of housing)
  • how hopeful everyone was for the future
  • flash games
  • no pandemic

The 2000's weren't great though. Music is music and I don't think there is a golden age of music. There's good stuff today and there is terrible stuff from the past. People treated each other worse in the past. I got kicked out of home as a kid for being gay in 2000, so that sucked. On the upside, housing was cheap enough I was able to pay for rent and living expenses on two minimum wage jobs and finish high school and somehow put myself through college debt-free by taking 9 years for a 4 year degree and working a lot. This is not even remotely possible now. Rent is over 10x what it was then and minimum wage has barely changed. Don't get me started on tuition, racism, homophobia, misogyny, etc. Hate crimes were a big thing at my highschool and no one cared about it.

Technology also wasn't great. We have no much instant information in our pockets now. We can share and view technology and creativity. We can also share hate a lot easier, so that's not great.

Woman on r/gaytransguys wants to remain a woman but still date gay men by CaptainMoose in LGBDropTheT

Original post before it got deleted:

Very much the title. My identity is binary and my body is what it is because I have chosen not to medically transition but to adjust my shape with working out. I have long reasons for this, it's not a whim, I would love to wake up bio male but since it's not happening I do what I can.

The problem is that I am gay, so I want to be a man's boyfriend. I keep being told not to even try it or to go for straight, bi, pan men. As if a man who loves man is definitely out, there is an implication that non-gay men would be open to "women" and therefore more accepting of me.

Or even to date other trans people as if there is some sort of understanding that translates into... sex and love? According to this I should date only people in my profession or with my passport, being trans per se is not a factor in horniness or compatibility.

But mostly is the whole thing that gay men are off limit. I don't want a particular validation from them, but I want a man who has already experienced attraction for men and feels the exact thing for me, no women involved.

I thought that I had found some relief after shaking off all the pressure about "must transition or you're fake" that I struggled with for years, and then I'm told no man will be attracted to me as his male lover. What the hell is going wrong?

The one case I know of an actual woman getting charged for indecent exposure is a story my professor told. She moved to the US from Europe and didn't realize you had to wear bathing suit tops at the beach. Police straight up arrested her and she was put on the sex offender registry and lost her job as a teacher. She wasn't doing it to make people uncomfortable or for a sexual thrill.

I also hate how people keep talking about this new danger where lesbian relationships have increasingly high abuse statistics. Nearly all of the abusers are trans women, but most places report the gender (not sex) of the participants. Physical abuse in F/F relationships happens but is extremely rare. Males are more likely to physically abuse their partner than females are. Scientific fact.

People from all walks of life deal with these feelings, but most groups are dealing with other more important things. Straight white men in particular don't have a lot to genuinely feel oppressed about so they have lots of mental energy to devote to this. In addition, autism is extremely comorbid with gender issues, and not only causes confused feelings about gender/sexuality/social roles, but also causes intense fixation on specific topics. In the vast majority of these cases "being a lesbian" becomes an autistic special interest for these men.

All of the gay-identified trans men I know in real life are a lot like this. They are also frequently super femme and into acting like children and animals. I don't know any actual gay men who date them. Their main partners seem to be straight men who identify as "queer" as a way to get the ladies but would never actually date anyone who wasn't born female and looked and acted female. They also have huge age-gap relationships too. A former partner of mine (by partner I mean he was a pedo who pressured me into being his girlfriend despite my lesbianism when I was underage) has been pursuing a lot of these people, especially the ones with small breasts because they look like children and will let him do weird shit to them because he fits the profile of evil old man.

I know a LOT of trans folks. Many are my exes, many are in my friend group. Probably around 1/3 of my friends are trans spectrum and you might be surprised with this number. It's because around 1/3 of my friends have ASD (I do too) and nearly all are heavily involved in the BDSM and "queer" community. Around 2/3 of the people I know who identify as lesbian were born men, and many of the ones born female now identify as trans men or use he/him pronouns.

Disclaimer, these are all my own observations based on around 30-40 trans folks I know personally, some closer than others. They skew towards BDSM, STEM, and ASD, so might not represent the population at large. I'm using "they" for everyone because I personally think gender is harmful, but feel free to use whatever pronouns for anyone if you comment on my post.

  • All but two have ASD, many have it severe enough they are on disability for it.
  • Many of the trans women have BPD.
  • All have a variety of mental health problems (although this is true of most of my friends so isn't really a distinction).

Among 3 trans men:

  • one identifies as gay "only attracted to cis men" and has been told multiple times to leave me alone (I'm a female lesbian) and it isn't okay to grab me in a sexual way. They reply "I'm not attracted to you so it's fine." and everyone keeps having to intervene saying how I have PTSD and you can't grope people who don't consent to it. I actively avoid events they go to. They were part of a poly group and dating my partner at the time so I couldn't avoid them when that was happening.
  • one identifies as a lesbian even though they transitioned. Their autistic special interest in penises and they will not shut up about them. Even though they identify as a man and now look like a man, they organize and go to all women events and hit on lesbians pretty aggressively while talking non-stop about penises and their penis collection.
  • one is not autistic and a really nice person. They have a lot of body issues and have been pressured into identifying as queer and dating males who present as males. They now go by he/him because they're butch.

Among the many trans women:

  • one is not autistic and is attracted to men exclusively. They have similar hobbies to me and we get along okay, mostly because they aren't attracted to me. They are SUPER involved in TRA and do a lot of work in the community.
  • most of them are autistic middle aged men on disability who just got out of a marriage to a woman and identify as lesbians now. They are all into having a mommy-dom who will beat them and change their diapers. Most of them also identify as cats and children and all want to be pegged. None of them will date each other or bisexual women because it "isn't validating enough". They loudly complain about how it isn't fair "actual lesbians date each other because there aren't enough of them to go around" and how women only events are "such a sausagefest". While they feel entitled to lesbians, they are mostly just super socially awkward and do not grope or touch anyone without their permission. Many have a lot of personal information online and share photos of their bottom surgeries and a LOT of details about their sex lives.
  • many of them are males who identify as "genderqueer" or "genderfuck" or "male lesbians" and these are the predators of the community. None of them have physically or socially transitioned. They often present as "butch" and have full on beards. They know all the "queer theory" and use social pressure to force (usually underage) lesbians into being sexual with them. Some of them are outright pedophiles, while others are just opportunistic. I have been sexually assaulted and raped by them a lot, starting when I was underage. This was the main reason I peaked. They are leaders in the community and tech-bros. They are charismatic and loved and you get called bigoted if you speak up about sexual assault.

I don't understand why they think a nonfunctional penis is suddenly more appealing than a functional one. That's like saying, "I don't like bacon." and them replying, "Well how about raw bacon? It's soft and smooth."

Back before I knew I was a lesbian I tried penis, even non-functional penis, and it was all bad and gross. My favorite sexual activity (fisting) can't be done with trans women, even if they've had HRT and bottom surgery. But honestly the main reason I don't want to date them is they were raised being perceived as men, which leads to personality traits I don't like in a relationship. I have yet to meet a trans women (and there's a lot in my extended friend group) who acts like an actual woman and who I want to hang out with and date, even if I was physically attracted to them.

One thing I never understood, if you're nonbinary and identify as gay, wouldn't that mean you are exclusively attracted to other nonbinary people? If you're into just men or just women then you're hetero because you're attracted to a different sex/gender, and if you're attracted to nonbinary and also one specific type of binary then you're bi/pan.

Obviously none of this makes sense but if you feel like a certain gender and you're saying gender is what people are attracted to then you need to use your perceived gender to calculate your own orientation.

Or...just base it on biology and if you're intersex you can do whatever you want.

When my partner introduced me to her parents and came out of the closet their reaction was concern she would get AIDS, despite us both being women, in a monogamous relationship, both negative, and practicing safe sex. They kept telling her to "be careful" because they didn't really understand anything but thought AIDS spontaneously arose from acting gay, so the more gay you acted the better chance of suddenly getting AIDS. They were also concerned she would be running around pride topless in a feather boa and fishnets. Her dad kept asking her how lesbian sex even worked, and she kept changing the subject. They also thought they would have to start using different pronouns with her and she'd get surgery to become a man.

For a lot of uninformed people the whole thing gets lumped together with the worst things that are present in the media affecting how they see other members of the community. I hate to say it but lesbians don't really fit in with the rest very well. We're underrepresented but we also just want to be left alone. We want equal rights and to not be raped or forced to be with men.

I don't care what genitals someone has unless they try to be intimate with me. However, males are statistically much much more likely to rape and be violent and are on average physically stronger than females, which is why females need their own spaces from males. Once males stop raping we can have shared bathrooms. If we could instead have a "rapist" and "non-rapist" bathroom, that would be great, lol.

I've seen my chromosomes; they're XX. (Got genetic testing done when my endocrinologist thought I might be intersex.)

However, according to biology it's definitively gamete size that determines sex. Females have larger gametes. I also make large gametes. If someone doesn't make gametes then you can use chromosomes, physical characteristics, and hormones to determine sex. For the majority of people gametes match chromosomes match genitals match hormones. As far as I'm concerned intersex folks can identify however they want, but most are biologically male or female, but with something that went medically wrong during development. The vast vast majority of intersex folk are identified as intersex either at birth or when something goes wrong with puberty. We don't have a huge chunk of the population walking around thinking they're the wrong sex just because they haven't specifically had their chromosomes checked recently. I wish biology denial wasn't part of the trans agenda.

I got used to using it because most circles I hang around in "female" just means anyone who identifies as female, which doesn't make sense and also adds to confusion. If I said to my friends "I only want to hang out with females." then they would be confused because a lot of my friends are OFAB but identify otherwise plus I don't want to hang around trans women most of the time. There is no gendercritical local community so it's either liberal feminist LGBT+, religious homophobes, or staying home. I mostly stay home.

Observed Female At Birth. Basically the least offensive way of saying Female without co-opting intersex narratives. Apparently it's only used by Gender Critical folks. AFAB annoys a lot of intersex people because "assigned" implies surgery or being intersex and someone decides for you as a newborn. It started because a lot of trans women wanted to pretend they were maybe intersex.

I used to believe I owed my body to people to make them feel better about themselves, but then I came up with the suggestion "Why not date each other?" and apparently this was offensive because it wasn't "validating enough" and they weren't attracted to each other because they wanted a "real woman" (their words). That's when I started to peak. I was willing to date people I wasn't attracted to at all to keep them from killing themselves, but their personalities again and again made me not even want to be around them. Then I had the idea, "Why not date bi/pansexuals?" and apparently that wasn't validating enough either. They needed a "big tiddy nerdy goth lesbian mommy dom to dress them in diapers and feminize them, lock their penis in a cage" and they kept bringing it up every time they saw me. I wasn't into that at all (and was triggered by most of it due to childhood abuse) and their personalities showed such mental illness and entitlement I avoided them at social gatherings (most had diagnosed low functioning ASD, NPD, and BPD and were on disability and living with their parents despite being in their 40-60s because they couldn't get along with people well enough to stay employed), so I was a "snob" apparently because I only wanted to hang around OFAB people, when the truth is I only wanted to hang around people I got along with and who respected my boundaries, which excluded nearly all OMAB people, regardless of how they identify.

I feel really bad that they have a mental illness, but I'm not obligated to "fix" it with my body and time. If someone is having an acute emergency I will be there for them but I'm not going to be tricked into sexual assault again and again just because someone threatens suicide and our mutual friends pressure me.

I hate it and I wish no one smelled like anything, myself included. I'm allergic to nearly all commercial perfumes and have started to subconsciously associate nearly all perfumey scents with migraine and asthma. I switched to all unscented products and feel a lot better, but it makes me even more aware of how everything is scented these days. I can't even wash my hands in public without bringing my own soap unless I want to be covered in hives and not be able to breathe and sometimes go blind because of a migraine.

That said, I really like Lush's "New" shampoo bar. Smells really nice and not allergic to it.

One side of my family is super into AA and they basically treat it like a cult. They're constantly pressuring me to attend meetings despite the fact that I don't drink at all (interferes with my medications and makes me instantly ill) nor do any other drugs. I never really saw my dad drink around me, and he initially joined AA for job connections, but now constantly talks about his sobriety, sponsors lots of people, and attends several meetings per day. He also freaked out when someone was cooking pasta sauce with a small amount of wine.

Out of curiosity I sat in on a virtual alanon meeting and they took turns reading from a book then tried to get me to admit that I was powerless before a higher power. I'm an athiest and I have hard-won control over my own life finally. This is not for me and gives me serious cult vibes. As cults go it seems relatively harmless and I'm happy it's good for some people to make friends and keep themselves accountable, but it's definitely not for everyone.

Do male seahorses, and their male relatives, really get "pregnant" and "give birth"? by [deleted] in GenderCritical

[–]MisandryFTW 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Warning, I used to study/teach/work in fish reproductive biology:

Fish, reptiles, amphibians, and birds don't actually get "pregnant" in the sense that mammals do. In some species they have internal fertilization, but the baby is nourished entirely by the egg, not by either parent or a placenta, until it hatches. Most hatch externally, some hatch internally, although it is less common. That said, among all animals sex is determined by which parent produces the large gametes (F) and which produces the small gametes (M) and some animals (not humans) sex can change over time due to environmental conditions. In most animal species, whichever parent is the last to deposit genetic material is usually burdened with childcare. Interestingly, in fish and other species that have primarily external fertilization (some fish are internal, but it's uncommon) the female often lays eggs, then "fucks off" while the male deposits sperm and cares for the eggs until they hatch. There is of course variation where one or both or neither perform childcare.

In seahorses they are usually a mated pair where the female deposits eggs into the male's pouch where he fertilizes them and carries them until they hatch. The male does not produce a placenta or produce nourishment for the babies and is therefore not pregnant, in the same way if I'm carrying around a hamster in my closed hands I am not pregnant with said hamster, and if I am carrying gum in my mouth I am not pregnant with the gum. The seahorse pouch is not the same as a uterus in either structure or function. After hatching seahorse babies often return to the pouch if there is danger. Other male fish will look after fertilized eggs in nests they've made or in their mouth. The nest is not pregnant and neither is the mouth.

I think maybe because I'm not good with boundaries and I used to be very conventionally attractive when I was younger in a way that predators are into. Tiny, long blonde hair, giant tits, looked young for my age, short and thin. I also dressed very feminine because I would get beaten and yelled at otherwise. I've noticed since I've gained weight, gotten older, started dressing more butch, and learned to be more assertive I've had almost zero problems with men. My girlfriend is tall and butch and assertive and she was almost never harassed. I've also experimented and if I go for a walk with all my skin covered but I'm wearing a long skirt I get catcalled, even though you can't see my body at all, but if I wear shorts or pants it's very unlikely.

Weirdly even women I didn't know would just start playing with my hair from behind without introducing themselves first. I would joke to my friends that it happened every time in the Trader Joe's cereal aisle and they're like, "yeah sure" but then we went to TJs and it happened in front of people twice. Middle aged women just start playing with my hair. One thing that's great about Covid is the 6 foot rule. My hair used to be down to almost my knees and dyed rainbow, so I was probably asking for it or something.

I stopped going to the local gay bar because I kept getting men coming up to my girlfriend and I asking for threesomes or one creepy guy trying to force me to give him a blowjob in the parking lot while I was having an asthma attack and using my inhaler. I know bisexuals exist, but the gay bar is the one place you shouldn't hit on opposite sex folks, especially if they're clearly there with someone already. They have the entire world to hit on same sex folks. I told the blowjob guy he should go inside and ask literally any man for a blowjob and he got offended and said, "I ain't a [slur for gay men]!" I just can't anymore.

It depends on your location and pharmacy. The good news is it builds up in your system over a period of time so if you stop taking it you can go a while before your levels are low again. I am a little worried about people thinking more is better and overdosing on it though. It's not like vitamin C and folic acid where you pee out the excess. It can cause problems.

At least for me, I have ASD and experienced a lot of abuse as a kid, so I probably had a weird view of attraction and consent. I didn't even know about lesbians until I was a teen and I assumed that everyone was attracted to women since they were overly sexualized in the media, and that no one was actually attracted to men because they were gross. I assumed that all women just pretended to be into men to be polite and because they were expected to, just like how you have to do chores even though they aren't fun. Nearly all my consensual sexual activities have been with women, but men and boys are pushy and ended up doing things to me or pressuring me to date them (threatening suicide or violence). I was very grossed out by their bodies and everything about sex with them and it was nearly impossible for me to orgasm, which often made them violent because it hurt their pride. I would just immediately disassociate any time they were being sexual, then it was over eventually. When I was still a kid my mom found out I liked girls so she kicked me out. I stayed with a 30 year old male friend who pressured me into being his girlfriend and got stuck with him for 15 years because I was afraid to leave.

Ever since I was a teenager everyone I hung out with said if you so much as kissed a boy or had a penis anywhere near you for any reason you weren't gold star. I guess my problem is implying that gold star makes you a better person somehow, when it actually just makes you a luckier person. To be fair, it was "male lesbians" who were saying the stuff about gold stars. I've since cut nearly all males out of my life and things are great now.

I was at the Pharmacy picking up my prescribed medications and several have been out of stock for a long time due to people taking them for Covid and supply chain issues and recalls. Some of these I need to survive. I have a genetic thing where I can't metabolize vitamin D and need to be on 50000 IU or my test results read 0. This has been out of stock since April so I've been buying OTC, which is much lower dose meaning I have to take a lot of pills each day and buy several bottles which could have gone to other people who actually need that dose. Yesterday while picking up meds I saw a woman putting every single bottle of vitamin D into a cart to buy while the man with her loudly argued with the pharmacy tech about getting more stock for him to buy. This is more vitamin D than two people should take in their lifetimes and I guarantee they were going to sell it at a markup. I hate this. I've seen this with Lupus patients unable to get hydroxychloroquine, and now I'm worried about being unable to get Metformin since a study said it might help with some symptoms of Covid.

You have every right to be proud of who you are. The main issue I have with the idea of gold star is it can make women who have been raped by men, discovered they were lesbian later in life, or live in a situation where they are forced to marry and/or have sex with men to survive feel dirty or invalid. Interestingly I recently became a retroactive gold star as the last of my rapists came out as trans (if you count that sort of thing).

I used to fool around with and get serious crushes on other girls as a kid. I even had a "girlfriend" and we were going to get married someday (spoiler: we did not) but I never realized it was weird because everyone just thought it was cute or funny. I didn't hear the word lesbian until I was in my teens and it meant "a woman who acted like a man and was angry and mean and dangerous". Later on I learned the definition meant "A women who pretended to like other women to get attention from men, a slut, also a porn category" and finally I realized the true meaning way too late.

That said I was 14 and already experienced with women when I realized I "might be bisexual" and it took me until my 30s to realize I was definitely a lesbian. I'm kind of dumb like that. I always thought straight/bi women and gay/bi men just pretended to be attracted to men to be polite because obviously no one is actually into it, gross. Hahaha. :/

Fun fact, all my male exes (and rapists) have since come out as trans spectrum, so I am technically a retroactive gold star.

It took me so long to finally admit this to myself, but nearly all the people who sexually assaulted me over the years have been OMAB trans spectrum. This is statistically unlikely considering only a small percentage of males are trans, but somehow they're molesting at an advanced level. Maybe it's increased access to children because they're femme, but it's weird. It's what finally helped me peak trans.

As a teacher I am very happy when parents get involved in their kid's education, however there have been some situations that are detrimental to learning:

  • Parent is sitting next to the student during video lecture, distracts them and the rest of class by talking, often giving out answers to the student or making snide comments about other students or their houses.
  • Parent helps student during exam.
  • Entire family sits around watching lecture, making some students too nervous to participate during class discussions.
  • Students from well-known families uncomfortable with other families recording them during lessons.
  • Parent harassing their kid during class to participate more or take notes differently.

My school has regular lecture and discussion events where the whole family is welcome, but I want my students to be able to focus on classwork while we are in class. I'm not teaching any political agenda during math class. If this is a concern in their other classes, they should definitely take it up with administration.
