My favorite sub and the only reason I went on Reddit besides for browsing True Lesbians now and again was r/Drama. It went private because two post about trans people went to r/all and Reddit admins came at them. Oh how, I miss r/drama.

Oh, I miss thee.

In a historical context, the word 'lesbian' never meant exclusivity; it was always defined as preference.

It's a word stolen from the territorial Greek island, Lesbos; maybe we should, I don't know, give it back to them.

All of these words were created in the early 20th century. The fact so many are pulling out your hair for a word that was stolen, flipped around, and invented in the 1900s, less than 150 years old, is ridiculous. The word 'horny' as been around longer in the English language. Queer has a longer history.

Words change over time. Once it was sodomite, queer, then lesbian, homosexual...past is prelude. Fighting time is a worthless battle.

Why fight for a word never ours to begin with? Like those white people in South Africa crying about losing property never theirs to begin with.

Edit: Homoanatomical is a good word.

The more I read about this game, the more I'm deciding to just watch a lesbian walk through on YT. I honestly don't want to work to have sex with characters. Not only you have to whoo them, but they actually have their own mind and can form their own conclusion to give consent or not. That's stupid in a video game. If I want that, I'd go out in the real world. I only wanted this game was because of the same sex options. We'll see. I rather just walk around the world and hook up. I'll wait for reviews in regards to this situation. The game comes out tomorrow, I think, right?

What was high school like for you? by BonesReds in Lesbians

[–]SailorMoon2020 6 insightful - 5 fun6 insightful - 4 fun7 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

It was awesome!!! I loved high school and I loved elementary school. Middle school was boring. Spent a lot of time stealing books from the library or browsing Harry Potter and Sailor Moon websites, reading fanfiction during lunch since my friends didn't have my lunch.

For HS, it was cool. I was involved in sports and other organizations, so I traveled throughout the U.S. to numerous states and cities for competitions, games, and conferences.

My friend group was small on purpose; however, I still intermingled with different cliques and groups. The school was racially and economically diverse, so you met a lot of kids from different backgrounds.

The school was very open minded. I had plenty of gay male friends. Knew of bisexual and homosexual females. A lesbian couple won couple of the year in one year because everyone loved them together.

Senior year was my play year. Lol I did nothing because I had all my credits already. I was graduating at the top 10% of my class so I was automatically accepted in the college I wanted to go to. And I began to date three girls.

It was innocent though for the most part since none of us knew how to have sex until much later in the year.

I'll be honest. I would be surprised if they ban these subs unless it becomes completely obvious they're sprouting hate towards the trans community. As long as they keep it "we like, what we like fuck off". All should good. But once they go on with "trans women aren't women, etc" then yeah, problems will arise.

Reddit is really thinking this one, same with how they were thinking with The_Donald. Maybe Quarantine but I'm not predicting any bans any time soon.

able to claim Lesbian back if it's so easy to just choose what people are called? They must be weak. Oh well. That's their fault for being weak and not fighting hard enough then, right?

If that's how you feel towards them then I can't control that. However, America is a powerful country and what we do, many developing countries follow. The island of Lesbos is small and their voices aren't as loud as a result. They desire to have that word and there are organizations trying for it.

I understand their plight and once I came upon their movement, I agreed with it. Considering how "woke" the queer community has become and how hostile they come toward that one word, 'lesbian' as a result of the history behind it, I think there's a chance.

As I said then and I'll say now just because homosexual women didn't steal the word, it doesn't give us the right to claim it as ours. But again, no one wants to talk about that.

I also disagree with people not being able to stopped saying lesbians if we choose to not use it.

Numerous racial and ethic groups constantly change what they want to be called throughout the decades and generation, and the public abides. Even trans people got people to change the way they're addressed and have succeeded. In fact, almost everyone in the queer community but homosexual women are demanding how people interact with them, what people call them, and are winning.

The above you gave is no excuse and just makes it seem as if we're weak.

I know it was about actual relationships than the sex. The reality of it is though women who are emotionally led when it comes to romantic relationships are less likely to think critical on sexual encounters due to their desire of not wanting to be alone yet love. Easy to take advantage of and manipulate.

I do not do this myself for taking advantage and manipulation are not my thing; however, others within the lesbian community have no shame in doing it.

Same sex female on female marriages have higher divorce rates and abuse scenarios than that of male on male relationships stats claim. Many women purposely keep their mind at a mental state that leaves them vunerable.

I voted Biden/Harris but voted for mostly Republicans, a few green party for my local district and state. States hold more power for the people than national government anyway. National government has no bearing on states issues whether social or economic.

Since my values are a bit traditional and capitalistic, I will lean for the party as that. I'd probably vote Republican on a national level if they were less cynical about racial and gay/lez issues.

Ironically though, Democratic cities are quite capitalistic and more racially segregated than non-democratic cities. Given my financial situation, I'd probably still succeed in a democratic city which tends to cater more for the upper class anyway, and throw all the riff raff to the side.

Hmmm, I'm not aware of the racial relationships in the U.K. to say why race wasn't mentioned. She appears to be biracially mixed and since she's from Jamaica and came to the U.K., it seems likely.

In America when white lesbians harm black people, race isn't mentioned. In fact the cases are often swept under the rug such as the white lesbian couple that drove their van off a cliff killing their adoptive biracial black kids whom they were also abusing(in which the authorities ignored even when numerous neighbors and teachers filed complaints).

I've read and heard of women violently raping other women but to kill, that is so unique.

I'm a fan of true crime especially when it involves the lgbt community, and even more so when it's female on female. Female on female sexual assault and rape does happen but rarely does the woman get jail time unless it's statutory rape. This is because woman don't report it or when they do, they're ignored and not taken seriously.

This case of Gordon fascinates me, hopefully that doesn't sound too twisted, because this is a woman that chose to kill another woman because the woman told her 'no'. When women demand sex, they will either force it or be forced away. This is the first time I've heard of a woman killing another woman (not man because there are several cases of women killing men who refuse them sex, usually a spouse or lover) because she didn't want to have sex.

Gordon could have raped the woman. She had the weapon; the victim, Netts, more than likely would have complied. No, Gordon chose to kill her, painfully as well, since the victim was alive for twelve hours as she bled to death from what reports of the autopsy say.

I understand a lot of y'all want to believe black people are considered ugly throughout the planet and nobody wants to be with us nor fuck us, but that's just not true. My Muslim friends went through worst than I while in Asia and they were/are Asian.

Encouraging isn't the same as doing; therefore, not considered by American law.

There has been exceptions such as in the case of the girlfriend who encouraged her boyfriend to commit suicide.

This is heresy. Again, not worthy of investigation.

Y'all keep saying this but no one has yet to provide proof. If it is true these users post cp, then why haven't y'all taken screenshots or screen recordings, and submitted them to the FBI, or better yet, the media.

Y'all said this about the Super Straight sub and I was on that sub even as it went banned. I was browsing new post and then when I refreshed, the sub was banned. Never saw any CP or porn in general on the sub.

The FBI isn't going investigate heresy. Rape and child molestation are serious accusations. So unless someone is able to provide a zip folder of undisputed evidence then I suggest dropping it.

A good article but is there a reason why so many just don't ignore those they aren't interested? Why send them a message; why waste that time and energy?

I was on HER for a week. Although I got a lot of likes, I got one like from a man. I skipped over him and went on about my way.

The women who liked me when I read their profile, they lack substance or weren't verified (the reason why I deleted...too many kids and immature people). There was no way I was going to take time out my day to respond to each woman with a "Hey, thanks but you seem to lack maturity, and seem to have the knowledge of a fifth grader. Sorry not sorry".

Every time I read these articles and read why the women are banned, it's simply because they're being jerks. She wasn't banned for her profile but the messages she sent out.

Also many of these apps for you to send a message, you have to like them back. So these women are liking people who they actually don't like only to send them a "sorry not sorry" message? That don't make no sense.

If we're talking financial success, accolades/nominations and awards, public attention that would be the Koren adaption of Sarah Waters' book, Fingersmith, The Handmaiden. No other lesbian movie has achieved that success in and/or out of the U.S.

For gay movies, Moonlight and Call me By Your Name has come close to reaching the level of Brokeback Mountain.

 I'm surprised more people don't

It's supremacy. Many lesbians on here have a superiority complex; its similar to other supremacist groups ranging from white supremacist to religious fundamentalist. They feel it's okay to steal what is not theirs yet the idea of it being stolen from them is unbearable.

Hypocrisy and supremacy.

Well, r/cislesbians, r/reallesbians, r/homosexualwomen, are there but private. R/lesbianspace, r/actuallylesbian, and r/lesbianactually are up. These subs have more women than trans because one sub is mellow. The other one one isn't allowed to mention they're trans because it's irrelevant, and the other is filled with women posting pictures. Picture subs don't tend to have too many trans because they don't pass and often get downvoted.

I think it's Poland, Ukrane, or Austria that has a female-female escort service. The creator honestly didn't think it was gonna be a hit but to her surprise it has turned into a hit. The madam in the interview claimed the clients varied from professional women, house wives, students, entertainment peeps, etc.

There should be more of that. Many escorts claim a lot of the males truly want a confidant, a friend.

In Japan, they have similar services called rent a friend or a husband, wife. There's no sex involved. One woman rented a dad for her daughter because she was distraught at how sad her daughter was without a dad. For ten or so years, the actor played the kid's dad...

In the deep dark depths of Reddit, there are women who speak of such encounters. Some are the typical fat unattractive women, but my surprise, there were some really good looking women paying for it.

However, given your point of view of the matter and given the stats when it comes to female on female relationships...

You know it’s okay to question things even if they’re good right?

Of course not. An act is neither submissive nor dominate, a person is. However, submissive women desire to submit, often times that includes performing certain sex acts on the dominant partner.

I have met many homosexual women who would rather give oral than recieve for various reasons. Only one woman I encountered took offense to me not wanting to perform oral on her but she was bisexual. They have entitlement issues, I believe.

Video games are like books to me so I play a lot of games. I won't say a list but my most recently played game was Ghost of Tsushima. Liked it a lot, absolutely stunning a, nice gameplay, and over all story.

My favorite games of all time: HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Alice: Madness Returns.

Games I'm looking forward to: Spider Man, Cyberpunk, Hitman, AC: Vanhallah, Ary and the Seasons and a few others. 2021 is gonna be a good video game year.

Cyber Punk you can customize your character all the way down to the genitals, I heard. I also heard the tranny npc will pass and you won't know until you're about to do them. I remember one dude saying he was gonna wait until the game out so a list could be placed up to showcase who is what so he doesn't have to waste time. That's what I heard.

AC: Odyssey made me into a total douche. There's a side quest where you help the Daughters of Arthemis main leader. You have to kill the 12 animals she wants you to kill but then you don't have sex with her. She just kisses you.

I was so pissed! "I killed 12 animals for you!" She then asks you to take her place in the tribe. "No, I wanna f*ck". If Cassandra chooses no, all the daughters attack her.

Personally, I thought 2020 was a whack year for games. Only two I wanted.

Since they made a Horizon Zero Dawn 2, I was hoping a God of War 5 would be released, but alas.

Do you think its wrong for a white lesbian to call herself as stud, as the term originated in black culture by lmaonope333 in Lesbians

[–]SailorMoon2020 13 insightful - 3 fun13 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

It's not bad per se; it's like white boys who call themselves gangstas, until they actually meet them.

There's a whole culture to studs which is associated with black and Hispanic and/or those who grew up in such environments.

Stud culture centers around masculinity and misogyny; where as, white lesbian culture centers around feminism, regardless if the lesbian is butch or femme, generally speaking.

I don't think I ever heard a white butch call another woman a bitch in a broad, pride, arrogant manner. When you're in an environment with studs, you will. Bitches, hoes, whores, sluts, it will be said.

Going to Dinah Shore then going to Houston Splash is like going to two different countries.

I think the people who do not like white studs are those who think the studs are cultural appropriating, are ignorant, or are breaking up a community that was once very much against masculinity, misogyny, patriarchy, hetero normative roles and confirming to a community that is the complete opposite.

Anyone else enjoy being told you perpetuate white cishet standards while looking to date? No one? Me either (initially posted on dropthet, but forgot to put here lol) by [deleted] in Lesbians

I am unsure what you mean by this sentence. When you say, "it is still pretty wrong?" What is? The bible, the way women are treated? "As it almost never does" If you're talking about the bible and women in it, I whole heartedly disagree. The Bible spends numerous times speaking of women. What varies is the role of women during the old and new testament. As I mentioned to another user, God changes from passage to passage from testament to testament. He admits when he's wrong, he's willing to grow. When women are first introduced, the role is small, and focused on bearing children, pleasing the husband, but as the bible moves forward and God evolves has an entity, more and more break from these roles that once held them down. Have you read the bible? Or do you only know what others have taught you from the mouth of man? If you haven't read it, I highly suggest doing so and you will get your own point of view.

I think that's where religions go wrong. The Bible was written as it was, and should not be touched either interpreting translations but literal translations. When God wanted to focus on women, he specifically said 'woman/women'.

This is interesting. Same, even as an adult, I still get that but from women. It was always girls/women saying that.

Like you, gaining friends and being social wasn't hard. I often didnt have a set clique I hung out with but interacted with majority of those in my grade and others. Even now I don't know how I was weird(besides for being a bit aggressive and forward-but hardly call that weird), but one thing that stands out that when I was in high school during lunch, a girl said, "If you were a guy I would totally fuck you" and to see all the other girls at the same table as I agree was just really weird to me.

Women are weird around other women they deemed to be 'weird'.
