Encouraging isn't the same as doing; therefore, not considered by American law.

There has been exceptions such as in the case of the girlfriend who encouraged her boyfriend to commit suicide.

This is heresy. Again, not worthy of investigation.

Heresy? What does that even mean...? This is not a religious issue. Do you mean "hearsay"?

Reddit apparently got huge because of its r/jailbait subreddit. And Ghislaine Maxwell used to be a powermod on Reddit. There are plenty of CP red flags, but if you want to believe in a more rosy picture of Reddit, go for it. I can't say I'm excited about it either, it's disturbing to think about.

I tried to look up r/jailbait to see how bad it was since I doubt I could be more scarred than I actually am, but looks like it's gone. I've been told by men (in the past, I'm legal now kill me) that I was "jailbait", but it looks like it's been taken down. Do you think they originated that term? Where did you hear that reddit got huge from that subreddit?

Ugh, that's so gross, I'm sorry. That happened to me too when I was underage.

Do you think they originated that term?

That's actually a good question, I'm not sure.

I've heard a lot of people say it but it's something I haven't fact checked yet, myself. I probably should've worded my original comment a little more clearly. It's somewhere on my list of things to do, though. I do know that porn was and is a massive driver of traffic to Reddit, and that there used to be a lot of CP on Reddit, til they changed the policy to disallow it; I don't know whether, numbers-wise, it actually was the most revenue- or traffic-generating porn category.

I'm just realistic when it comes to American law.

Maxwell is allegedly tied to Reddit.

No laws were broken with r/jailbait. The negative publicity is what took the sub down and brought up numerous clones in its wake.

I don't know why so many peeps don't understand that the American law doesn't go off of 'hearsay'. It goes off of just cause.

If you want that to change then talk to your local legislators. That way all you have to do is cry cp and that person will get arrested. Certainly the practice won't lead to unjust, bias profiling.
