USA I'm 18 and I came out like 3 months ago. It was to my mom right before I went to leave for college. Was definitely not a shock to her, but because I made it explicit that I would never even date a man, I had to deal with interrogation on why I wanted to be a man, was I molested, maybe my hormones are off, had she failed as a mother, etc., every time I was alone with her.

I guess technically I'm not fully 'out' bc I really only told my mom, but I think my siblings that have lived with me have an idea, and my older sister made a point of mentioning that a book she's getting me was written by a woman with a wife, so ig my mom told her or she guessed. Idk. My family isn't very close, and the rest aren't as catholic as my mom, so my plan is just to kinda introduce any future gfs at a holiday or something.

Tbh, why should a forum always be positive? Sometimes people just need to bitch about things or people, esp the people here who might not be able to complain in person. A lesbian forum is not meant for you, it's meant for the lesbians who have to put up with the bs in those posts.

Okay I'm gonna give u some advice: run away from that group of people. Don't try to explain to them how they hurt you, just leave. Pretend they don't exist. Bc if they're like the uwus I've known, they are waaaay too batshit to be worth it. Find friends that are stable people, even if they're straight, and you'll be better off. You'll probably find some gay guys and lesbians along the way to be befriend that won't be knee deep in mental illness.

I learned it in school and on my own. I'm not the best at it, but I definitely can get by (and I've been told I kinda have a Brazilian accent?? Hell if I know how I managed to do that). That's an interesting list of languages! Kurdish, especially. Do you have family that speaks any of those languages?

There seems to be a lot of Hebrew speakers here; it's awesome! I love the look of written Hebrew, it's a pretty language :)

I've kinda experienced this. Most the 'lesbians' I met in high school shortly after fell in love with guys. I held on to saying I was bi way too long. Most people just don't know themselves very well, especially at 16, so it makes sense you wouldn't meet many lesbians who are out and proud rn(and lesbians are also like 2% of women I think? That doesn't help anything either). You'll meet more lesbians eventually <3

Cottage core is just an aesthetic thing, really. It's usually seen as accounts with pictures of picnics, meadows, and what people imagine as cottage life. Lesbians got associated with it because there does seem to be a lot of people who claim to be lesbians who flock to it. I wouldn't call it a sign of manhood or anything. I like it. It's cute. It's just very tumblr-y and populated by woke people, generally.

The sword lesbian thing I think came from some wedding photos that were circulating? It was a lesbian couple who got married with swords and went viral.
