I'm using the same username as reddit, and I'm dumping my account after 9 years.

I'm a 55 year old happily married woman. I was pretty damned butch when I was younger, but I'd define myself as a soft butch these days. I live in the middle of nowhere in Ireland, but I'm an American escapee; I grew up in northern Appalachia and lived in Northern CA for most of my adult life. I spent much of my youth as an activist for lesbian and gay rights with groups like the Lesbian Avengers and Act Up. I was a public radio host for a LGB public interest program for about a decade.

I'm a retired/disabled Paramedic. My wife and I have the cutest wee dog on the planet, and we love to explore the countryside with him looking for holy wells and neolithic sites. I'm a bit of a writing widow as my wife is writing a utopian lesbian trilogy, but I love to discuss character development and plot with her. I'm an avid cook and I spend way the hell too much time playing Minecraft. I'm constantly reading, mostly sci fi and fantasy, but I'll read anything interesting. My wife and I have been re-watching Buffy lately, so that's been fun.

Covid has been handled a lot better in Ireland; it's been an introvert's dream for me. I feel so lucky to have a harmonious relationship and the ability to get outside whenever I want to.

I have to say, it warms my heart to see so many young lesbians coming together. Our community has been under so much pressure to disband, but we need each other more than ever. So happy to see you all here!

Hey! Yeah, so shitty that TL got banned. It was so nice to have a lesbian only space. Oh well, at least for once we have the username 'lesbians' and it's not porn.

I'm in my mid-20s, didn't post on TL too much recently but did a year or two back. I live with my girlfriend and her mum (which is a bit of a challenge sometimes). We live in a city that is kind of conservative, it's pretty quiet on the queer front compared to some previous places I've lived and we are not really involved in anything lesbian together. I really want to start up a lesbian book club in real life here so I'm giving that a go :) :)

I was a transman for a while, after some therapy I realized some important things and now I'm back to being a butch. I'll be honest, I have some regret for not being here to protect the community I love, but better late then never I suppose.

Hi, I'm late 30s and I live alone with a cat and a dog in Austin, Texas. I recently got laid off (and before that, had been furloughed for ~10 weeks) due to COVID, but I really hated my job towards the end there, so I've been trying to use this down time to study programming and hopefully come out of this mess with a new career, fingers crossed. I was going back to school to do a computer science degree, but that's also currently on hold due to COVID. I'm not really sure what's next for me I feel like I'm endlessly hedging my bets and waiting for our government to make decisions.

I am a bit of a loner naturally, but this extended quarantine has been really putting that to the test and it seems like a particularly bad time for reddit to be tossing out communities left and right.

Despite all the free time in the world, I feel like I have no interests right now since my days are pretty much get up, exercise, and study while trying not to get distracted by reddit or twitter (bad week for it). Before covid, I was into caving, fencing (foil - very bad at it though), video games, movies (horror, foreign, and weird stuff especially), dungeons and dragons, and reading.

I'm in my early twenties. I'm technically GNC, but I don't care for that term. I'm politically moderate, but I've been leaning more libertarian recently. I am not a radical feminist, but I am sympathetic to their cause and I agree with some of their views. I love classical and neoclassical history, art, and architecture. I know I shouldn't be surprised by the ban but I am, we weren't even a political sub and basically all the threads were just things like relationship advice and fun discussions - hardly offensive banworthy content. But I'm glad to be here, I hope everyone can migrate over (though I feel bad for lesbians newly joining reddit who won't be able to find any lesbian spaces). Also kinda regretting not joining the TL discord when the sub was private and the link was open 💀

I'm 20, Canadian, and I like animals, video games, and walking in nature (not a good sign that I had to sit in deep thought for 5 minutes to think up three basic interests lmaoo). Hiya, I was a long time lurker on TL and GC, and didn't bother to participate much due to being busy in college and didn't know what to write. My old reditt was SwiftastheSea. Eventually, I decided to change the name to RavenVI since I just wanted something easy to remember. I'm glad this sub on reditt got my attention as I'm now going to try and participate more ever since the ban happened.

I'm 18 and a tomboy with mid-length hair but I'm not sure since I usually swap: some days dress femme, other days more masculine. Of course, as soon as I heard about the ban I joined up here... shit's ridiculous.

Recently turned 30, from Palestine, grew up in Sweden, currently living in the Netherlands. Got a master's degree in molecular biology, going for a doctorate after I've gained a bit more laboratory experience. Most of my wake time is spent reading or studying and trying to advance my python programming a bit. I enjoy watching series or movies, if they're good that is - love music, if it's good music. I generally don't listen to genres as much as I listen to individual artists or musicians.

I had only made 2 posts, one about being sober for 19 months (huge thanks to everyone who commented, I know I didn't get to reply to you all but much ❤) and one about a dumbass therapist I had (also thanks for all the great replies to that one, some made me actually laugh out loud!) I love this community and am so happy it survived.

Hey I decided to make an account on here. I didn't post much on TL but I had a few posts on there. TL was the only lesbian subreddit I was on as I couldn't relate to the others on reddit. This is the only place I can have a conversation with other lesbians and not feel like I'll be Crucified because of my sexual identity from lgbt+ and it used to be I was worried about religious people but a lot has changed this time around.
