Kehlani came out as a lesbian last month and I barely heard anyone talking about it. Nothing appeared on my facebook feed about it and nothing appeared on google news either. I found out when someone shared her tiktok in a discord server I'm in.

Meanwhile Demi Lovato comes out as nonbinary and it's all over the place. "Elliott" page takes a shirtless photo with either shitty photoshop or bad ab implants and people are screaming "yes king" at every opportunity. Major news outlets were covering both stories and plastering them all over my timeline.

It pisses me off how anyone can actually say there's such a thing as 'LGBT' anymore. It's literally just T now. They aren't even being subtle about it and people who claim to support 'LGBT rights' either don't notice or don't care. They're too busy gobbling up every single trans related headline they come across.

It pisses me off how anyone can actually say there's such a thing as 'LGBT' anymore. It's literally just T now. They aren't even being subtle about it and people who claim to support 'LGBT rights' either don't notice or don't care. Lesbian and gay issues are now being framed as 'LGBT issues', while transgender ones are being framed as... transgender issues.

It's a slow process, but a steady and continuous one that has a very specific objective: drown out discourse surrounding homossexuality, because as we all know, being gay and lesbian today is not very lucrative anymore.

Kelani was getting dragged to pieces. Maybe if there weren't vids of her talking about "sucking good d*ck", "he can nut in me anytime", constant drama for stealing some woman's man, people might have taken her sexuality more seriously.

To me, she's just another bisexual tired of men. I rather have Elliot Page on my time line than fake lesbians. I can deal with fake trans peeps.

I don’t think it has anything to do with trans trend. I think is more because people are already used to bisexual types larping as lesbians, old news even to the wokies. 🥱

I'm not all that familiar with Kehlani and don't know her music, but I did independently stumble upon this fact recently and also had the thought that I was surprised I hadn't heard of it. But she is knee-deep in queer theory and gender identity/non-binary/pronoun nonsense, and based on other things she's said about men, it did make me take her newfound lesbian identity less seriously. While I hope she's legit and happy, I am feeling pretty cynical right now about all of the homosexual and bisexual erasure.
