Banned for wanting a "biological female"... Do they also ban straight men for that? We all already know the answer.

Great article :)

And I just noticed that it has 4.1k reads whereas the other recent articles on that site have significantly less. I wonder where all those views came in from. Are more people starting to talk about this?

I found this article on Twitter, and there were a lot of comments. The Lesbian and Gay News website is new, so it might not be on many people's radar yet.

Yeah I also noticed that this particular article has more views. I’ve read them all and they are all terribly interesting, but i’m guessing this one is an easier read and the article makes you wanna click

Amazing article, thanks for sharing! I hadn't even heard of this website before you posted but now I've been reading their articles for an hour hah

A good article but is there a reason why so many just don't ignore those they aren't interested? Why send them a message; why waste that time and energy?

I was on HER for a week. Although I got a lot of likes, I got one like from a man. I skipped over him and went on about my way.

The women who liked me when I read their profile, they lack substance or weren't verified (the reason why I deleted...too many kids and immature people). There was no way I was going to take time out my day to respond to each woman with a "Hey, thanks but you seem to lack maturity, and seem to have the knowledge of a fifth grader. Sorry not sorry".

Every time I read these articles and read why the women are banned, it's simply because they're being jerks. She wasn't banned for her profile but the messages she sent out.

Also many of these apps for you to send a message, you have to like them back. So these women are liking people who they actually don't like only to send them a "sorry not sorry" message? That don't make no sense.

I agree that you shouldn't reply to people that you are not interested in, but that's besides the point. If you wanna know what the point is, ask yourself why we are on Saidit...

Yeah. The article is talks about dating apps, but it's actually about more than just that.

We're on Saidit for the same reason this sub is more quiet: too many lesbians post content about transwomen every waking hour.

That's what r/Truelesbians was about. TL didn't become a good sub reddit until the MODS were forced to disallow the trans post. Still getting the axe.

We are on Saidit because being homosexual and wanting a space to communicate with other homosexuals is considered hateful and bigoted in woke society. Look at what happened to r/BiologicalLesbians, they were banned even though they were all loudly proclaiming "Trans women are women!"

No one is stopping you from posting other content :) The people who want to see other things should step up and take the initiative to post them instead of being quiet or complaining about it.

I do post content.

Could be that they tried the "like everyone and look through matches later" approach. Or people didn't reveal they were trans until later in the conversation. Or like when I first started on apps I thought the polite thing to do was reply to EVERYONE, which was very naive of me.

There are a few brave lesbian souls on the dating site "Our Time" who specifically ask for cis women, or outright state "no trans".

I can't imagine being banned from a site for simply requesting such a basic thing!

I've been thinking about signing up for Our Time (I'm over 50), and if they don't kick women off for specifying "no trans" then this is a point in their favor.

The Lesbian and Gay News site is new, launched this week I think. It’s refreshing to see. Some tides might be changing after all
