As someone else pointed out, banning GC made it worse. People toed the line there, the mods especially. Now we've found other places we don't have to be so polite.

I had absolutely no problem with trans people before I found out they were denying biology and literally saying men could be females and lesbians had to give dick a go.

I found out about the shitstorm because of the abuse JKR received from them. I try not to dislike them, but it's very hard when so many of them are such abusive, reality denying fuckwits.

I was kinda sad seeing the billboard being... covered up or whatever they did. But now, it's doing really what the point of the billboard is/was - getting people to notice.

Gender ideology is really batshit insane. It can't last, though the quicker it's over, the better, for all us, but especially those who might decide to change their bodies and go down a medical route for life and the lesbians who think they are 'transphobic' and must sleep with transwomen, dick and all.

Yeah, indeed. I think radfems are helping women and the movement more than anything - other people are staying silent.

If OP doesn't want radfems to have such loud a voice in this, then more gay men, and more men in general need to speak the fuck up. (Most women speaking up about it get labelled 'radfem' (as in TERF) but are really just gender critical...)

They also don't just dress however they want and wear whatever make-up, it's wrapped up in being "trans" or non-binary to them. Like how fucking exhausting to deal with someone like that.

Yup. They want to occupy us. If they just wanted to live, they wouldn't push 'transwomen are women', which creates conflict and isn't even true.

They would fight for trans acceptance, not to actually be women and be in our spaces.

What's so wrong with being trans that they try to pretend they aren't anyway? The most transphobic people are the people who push 'transwomen are women'. :P

[–]materialrealityplz 45 insightful - 6 fun45 insightful - 5 fun46 insightful - 6 fun -  (0 children)

I fucking hate "non-binary". They are part of why women are being called 'uterus-havers', so we can be "inclusive". Fuck that. (Though for some reason you don't see men being called 'prostate-havers'...)

Non-binary is basically just "I'm not like those other men/women, I'm special". It's nothing but how you dress/make-up, etc, with a side of stupid because they deny being female or male. And even though it's apparently a gender, they want to put it as their sex on passports and such.

It's super regressive and helps reinforce old stupid stereotypes about men and women. (because you have to define a woman or man to identify out of it) Also a lot of them just dress as a stereotype of the opposite sex anyway. So much for 'non-binary'.

Most people in radfem groups aren't even radical feminists, they just found their way there because of being gender critical, because of reaching peak trans.

Most things discussed in those circles are male violence and sexual abuse, exploitation, objectification, etc. No one is really talking about about any actual concrete plans to bring down the patriarchy or end capitalism or whatever. They are just women fed up with the treatment they have received at the hands of men in their lives. Most other feminist groups center men - transwomen, or are pro-prostitution and pro-porn, etc, so women find their way to radfem forums. Radfem circles really aren't that radical.

Google messes with it's search results to fit wokeism. google 'murdered women' or 'women murdered in 2020' to see the kind of stuff that fit the woke narrative. Or google 'white couple' and you get a mixed bag of results, hardly any white couples. But google 'black couple' and all you get is black people. (same with straight vs gay couple) etc. List goes on and on.

Twitter bans all sorts of people (particularly women but also men, like Graham Linehan finally got the ban hammer recently) for being gender critical. Zuby, a black rap artist, got suspended for saying 'dude' to someone. Meghan Murphy got banned for saying 'him' about Jonathon Yaniv, even though she was referring to a profile of his where he presented himself as a male. A lot of women just get deboosted - I don't know what being deboosted all consists of, but you don't show up in the top comments, you have to click the show more comments or whatever to see these people's comments (instead of them showing up in the infinite scroll). I've been deboosted, because I am gender critical.

No kidding. They make fun of the right for not believing in climate change or wearing masks. Climate change is real, and wearing masks definitely helps contain the spread of the virus. But, those things aren't obvious. Climate change is too big and not obvious even when weather is extreme, about what is the cause and the virus is so small you can't see it.

But. Biological sex is so freaking obvious and real. We are humans, with sexed bodies. And the left is pretending it's all about gender identity and feelings.

They make fun of the right for not believing in things that are quite hard to see, but then won't even acknowledge their very own bodies over some mystical 'gender identity' bullsh*t.

I've been listening to a few interviews with Harry Miller - a man in the UK who had the police come to his workplace about transphobic tweets (and eventually won a court case against them) - and he has mentioned that trans people can choose to have a police person of a gender they choose, to check them (say if they had drugs on them). Which if it's a man requesting a woman and she has to check his nether region is akin to sexual assault.

But this lady, a rape survivor, is transphobic for wanting a female medic? Fucking hypocrisy.

In the broadest sense non-binary fall under the trans umbrella, yeah. We are all basically trans, lol. Cause who isn't non-binary in some way? :P

For me, 'non-binary' is cowardly because it's throwing away the fight against stupid stereotypes on women (and men) and instead reinforces them. They think they are too unique to be a women. Now we are called 'uterus-havers' in part to be inclusive to these people who pretend they don't have female bodies and are different from us other women - cause you know, we are just walking stereotypes of femininity.

I'm so fucking done with 'non-binary' by Beth-BR in GenderCritical

[–]materialrealityplz 22 insightful - 2 fun22 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yup. They think the rest of us women (and men) are walking sexist stereotypes I guess. Also 'non-binary' is part of the reason why we're being called 'uterus-havers' and such, to be inclusive.

They also say it's a gender, but then some go on to actually deny they are biologically male or female and want 'non-binary' on official documents as their sex.

They could be courageous and help fight the stupid stereotypes that exist for women (and men), but instead they are just interested in themselves and their 'uniqueness'. So instead they are bringing back and reinforcing dumb old sexist stereotypes. Because you have to define what a woman/man is to identify out of it.

[–]materialrealityplz 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Dang. Honestly... this might be getting a bit meta, but I think we, as a species, are really still learning how to deal with this thing, the internet. We didn't evolve to be looking at screens at engaging at people through a flat surface where they don't physically exist. For basically all of our history, we've only been able to see and engage with people if they were right in front of face. But now, with the internet, you can create this whole other persona and be whatever you want to be. And it can feel almost real. I mean, most people's social media is a very polished version of the messy person behind the screen, so even if that is not totally different from their actual self, there is still an element of playing someone different, someone better and more perfect.

People can lie a little bit (look how amazing and perfect my life is~) or a lot (I'm intersex) and other humans who interact with that can't really gauge what is real and what is not. It's tough, also mentally consuming to be in doubt about everything. So they can get away with it.

And now we've created this hierarchy of identity politics, where the most marginalized get's the most points. Their pain, is real pain. They have moral superiority. Their truth is the real truth even when it has no bearing in reality. There was a man whose son died, but the guy was white, and a man, straight, etc. So because of his identity, apparently to these woke people, losing his son wasn't that bad. I mean, he has all that 'privilege'.

With it being so easy to be anyone online, and the shove of identity politics into our culture, this seems like a natural outcome. She can get the victim points and other humans will have trouble discerning what is real about her, so you interact with them as if it is, which in turn builds up the realness of it in the brain of the person making it up.

And there are a lot of people who spend all their time on their phones. Even when they seem super talkative online. I met up with someone who seemed really cool online when we happened to be traveling to the same place overseas, and she basically spent the whole time on her phone, unable to actually have a real conservation. For some of these people, it's like their profiles online, are who they are.

Being referred to as "Transphobic", do you just accept the label? by Kai_Decadence in GenderCritical

[–]materialrealityplz 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I accept it internally, because by their definition of transphobic I am and I don't want to get upset when it gets thrown at me. If they throw abuse at me, and I react to it with emotion and not in a rational thoughtful way I've lost. I know I'm not though. Before I knew about the 'transwomen are women' battering ram and all the craziness, I had nothing against transgender people - I was even curious and read a book about a transgender person. Then I found out about the shitstorm~

But, I wouldn't actually state I'm a transphobe unless it was sarcastically. :P

The weirdest and most illuminating thing about the JK Rowling controversy for me was the absolute focus on TiMs, even though by trans logic it was TiFs that were most directly misgendered by making the point that everyone who menstruates is a woman. Does anyone here know how to counter these people saying sex is not binary because of hermaphrodites and intersex, that binary sexes are "flawed human made taxonomies" and that "you can't see someone's chromosomes and genitals so sex does not matter"? by EverydayIsSad in GenderCritical

[–]materialrealityplz 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Well, I'm not going to read their bullshit, but chromosomes very much do matter.

This is just one small point about their differences but Sharon Moalem does a really great job at explaining how having two X chromosomes make women genetically stronger then men. It's why women are dying from Covid less and more men are colourblind (because the backup X can be used if one is faulty). Although this is also the reason more women are have autoimmune diseases - because their autoimmune system is very aggressive and will even attack itself if "bored". He's done some really interesting talks that are on youtube you can find by searching his name.

Also, any arguments referring to other animals and plants you should ignore. They are irrelevant to humans and are only distractions.

Sex is binary, a few mutations doesn't mean otherwise.

[–]materialrealityplz 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It was created to label feminists who didn't believe transwomen were women. We can't reclaim it, and we don't want it. It's not even true because we aren't 'trans-exclusionary', cause any female who is trans, is in our feminism.

The best measure is just to not react, if someone calls you a terf, calmly explain why are not, or whatever. Or don't respond at all. Getting mad or outraged about being called a terf is losing.

[–]materialrealityplz 16 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah. 'Non-binary' is the most ridiculous fucking thing.

Everyone is to some extent non-gender conforming. I'm a women (a real one. :P), and I don't shave my body hair. I own no dresses, no heels. I hate shopping. I love frogs and iizards. I don't wear make-up anymore, or jewelry. I got my university degree in Computer Science. I have no interest in men. But I still like doing things that are more 'feminine' like crafts, such as clay and embroidery, etc, and some other stuff that would be considered 'girly'.

How non-binary am I? :P And the more I am like a men, does that mean my biology as a female fades away?

Ugh~

"non-binary" is fucking meaningless. Stop being cowards and be a women (or a man), however non-confirming that is. All the stupid gender stuff is more restrictive, not less. I was born female. That's it. That says nothing about what kind of person I am or how I dress or whatever bullshit they think 'cis' is.

[–]materialrealityplz 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

From the transman info part:

Words matter We recognize that many trans men and people on the trans masculine/ female-to-male (FtM) spectrum may feel ambivalent about or distanced from the terms cervix, vagina and uterus or prefer other terms, such as “front hole.” We use these terms, recognizing their limitations but acknowledging the need for simplicity. We are also attempting to normalize the reality that men can have these body parts too.

It's truly amazing how they believe words can change reality. That somehow saying 'vagina' is worse than... having one.

No one is saying they aren't people and no one is advocating against their right to 'just be'.

Saying 'transwomen are women', 'transmen are men', is not asking to 'just be'. That would be 'transwomen are transwomen', or 'transwomen are male/men'. By insisting they are something they are not, and colonizing a space that doesn't belong to them, they are not just innocently existing.
