This was a logical conclusion to the trans delusion. I've noticed the trans folk who I know in real life usually have autism or mental issues etc. and I think they are attracted to trans identities because it's a chance for them to feel quirky and sPeCiaL instead of odd and different.

Not that they should feel odd and different but unfortunately we live in a world where society does makes them feel that way. I feel for young people with autism and mental issues, a lot of parents don't understand these things, minimize and deny them and then the TRA community pushes them to believe they are trans due to these things. It seems like no one really understands or accepts them for who they are. It's a shit show.

This is fascinating stuff. It's interesting how when I first dipped my toe in the gender critical pool my opinion was something like "no trans people are sick or disturbed, they are normal people who were simply unhappy with the gender blahblah, but still males shouldn't compete in women's sports etc.", but the more I read about this and the more posts, videos, interviews etc. I've seen from tims I came to a place where I read your whole post and just nod my head at everything you said. The loneliness, the depravity, their family having nothing to do with them... It just makes sense.

I would like to ask how often on average is it you have to clean up a tim suicide? Once a week? And same question for tif suicides. Also, why do you think the primary reason for tif suicides is?

My advice is to not tell her what to do, just mostly lend a supporting ear to her. I would however point out to her over and over again that, for example, you think male voice are attractive but you're still a woman, that you prefer male characters as well but that is most probably because male characters are usually written as more interesting and complex etc.

That is not the reason why women are allowed to request a female examiner, but I suspect you know this. You are being deliberately obtuse and misrepresenting my comment on purpose because that is the only way you can argue with it. It's a common TRA tactic, but a very foolish one because when I was a TRA it was precisely this kind of nonsense that made see the contrast between the logic of GC arguments and the nonsense of TRA argument. You are taking a statistic from a certain part of the world and applying it to the whole world. Yes in some parts of America trans people get murdered (for being prostitutes though), but here in the UK they are safer than women, statistically 0 trans people get killed a year. And the trans people I know actually admit themselves that they feel like they are not discriminated, but quite the opposite, treated better because they are trans. So that point doesn't stand either.

Come on op you know the answer, I remember when I was a TRA it still took me two seconds to figure the answer to this question.

The first and the most obvious one is sports. Sports isn't segregated by sex for the fun of it, it's because men are stronger, faster, have more muscle mass, higher bone density etc.

Not only do these advantages remain after transition, but in some countries you don't even have to transition to be trans. All a man has to do is say he is a woman and voila, he gets to compete in the women's category. This is happening in the US on the high school level, which means less sport scholarship opportunities for HS girls.

In order to give trans people the right to compete in their gender category you are taking away the rights of female athletes to compete fairly and win scholarship, sponsorships and medals.

Then we have things like rape examination. Unfortunately we live in a world where women get raped every day so in order to make women more comfortable they are allowed to request a female rape examiner.

If you give trans people the right to legally become the opposite sex, you are taking away the right of rape victims to be treated with dignity and respect during their examination.

When the pay gap is recorded, if you give trans people the right to legally be recorded as the opposite sex, you will not get accurate pay gap records.

Etc. you get the point.

I completely agree with you that women's rights and trans rights should be able to co-exist. But that can only happen if the difference between women and transwomen is acknowledged. If the law pretends they are exactly the same it's biological women who draw the losing stick here, in the ways I've outlined in my comment and in many other ways.

What are you talking about? I know this is difficult for some people to believe but not everything is about politics. This is about common sense. It's about acknowledging that humans cannot change sex. This lunacy will not end until everyone who knows this facts speaks this fact and laughs out all the loons who think otherwise out of the room like we would do 10 years ago.

It all comes down to the fact that people do not see trans women as actual women, they see them as men. Even the most vocal TWAW folks do not see them as women. Our eyes are trained to see males as men and females as women since we are like 2 years old and it cannot suddenly be programmed to see a male as a woman.

And because of this, people will treat tw as men, like Poppy29252 said, they will have all the male privilege that other males have.

They will most likely be paid more than a woman doing the same job on the basis of being male.

They will be listened to more than a woman on the basis of being male. (ever heard of a woman getting her idea dismissed at work, but a man repeating the same idea will be told it's a great idea. most women have an experience like this)

They will be treated with more respect.

Their feelings will get prioritized over women's. Think about all the times you've heard TRAs scream "trans women are women" and how many times have you heard them say "trans men are men" and advocate for tw in women's spaces while completely ignoring tm? It's because tw are male.

I suggest subtle comments and questions that will make them question the non-binary thing.. Ask them why they're not okay with being called she, asked them since they are non-binary, if they are competing in sport where would they compete, in the women's or men's category? Tell them you've been questioning your non-binaryness too because you don't like dresses, but your mom said not liking a dress doesn't make you anything less of a woman. Tell them what they think of that? Slowly plant some seed.

They're grow out of it and you'll get your sisterhood. Get involved in hobbies where you can make friends in the meantime.

I think you will find a woman with a similar views to you, don't lose hope. You can still bring your gf over to your side IMO, you just have to use a gentle approach and not go in guns blazing. What that means is bring the trans issue up slowly in conversation, starting with the obvious stuff like sports and if she agrees with you there build from that. I think what you say here: "that’s a small issue compared to the things above but it’s threatening to remove practically all our hard-won rights" contradicts itself. How is removing all our hard won rights a small issue? I would argue that's it's the biggest issue of all and it's only getting worse with UK rugby recently allowed trans women to compete in women's categories.

I am in the UK and I got more hopeful after JKR spoke up, but I now see that TRA movement has money behind it and medicalizing children benefits big pharma. I believe it's going to get better eventually, but it will probably get much worse first and a lot of women, children, female athletes etc. are going to get hurt in the process.

They want the "bad trans people" not to be given access to our spaces and be treated as women, but they don't want the same thing to apply to them and other "good trans people". I'm not American but it's obvious to anyone with common sense that neither of these choices are a win. Trump is Trump and Biden doesn't even know where he is or what he's running for (he claimed to be running for the senate lol) and he is planning on eradicating women's rights. I have no doubt that Biden getting elected will have devastating consequences for women if he is serious about the trans stuff, and it seems like he is since he said trans rights are the civil rights issue of our time.

We are looking at a future where all the female sports scholarships are won by men, all the gold medals in women's sports are won by men, women losing on job opportunities because employers can just tick the equality box by hiring a man who identifies as a woman, women's award categories populated by men, women in prisons across the country suffering rape and abuse from the hands of male prisoners and there will be NOTHING that can be done about it because the law will be protecting these men.

I can't believe I'm saying this but if I was American I would be voting for Trump. I just could not live with myself knowing I will be participating in complete erasure of women's safety, dignity, sports etc.
