It’s a massive red flag for me that she has a male twin brother. I imagine that he got comfier clothes, better toys, more freedom to run around, be noisy and do whatever the hell he liked, and she thought that she wanted to have a piece of that too.

It’s similar to how Rachael Dolezal’s issues kinda became clear to me when I found out that her parents also adopted black children who probably got a lot of attention and concessions that the biological children didn’t.

Do trans-identified people have genital preference? by Rage-Xion in GenderCritical

[–]SweetBabyCheeses 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes of course they do. Obviously this doesn’t apply to all, but if you have a preference over what your own genitals look like then surely that also counts? TIMs that have a preference for getting their balls chopped off and their dicks turned inverted are a bit hypocritical if they then moan about women having a preference about whether they want to just have sex with a dick or fanny.

[–]SweetBabyCheeses 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Nope! Unless that young man happens to be a TIM who is one of the minority that passes at a distance. In which case, they are rightly scared that a man that is sexually aggressive towards them has done so by accident, and if they twig that it’s actually a bloke they’d be in danger of being attacked because of homophobia/transphobia and NOT misogyny. Even then, it’s almost certainly going to be a more evenly matched physical fight. Plus I imagine you’re a lot less likely to be raped if you’ve got a cock rather than a vag, unless they’re unlucky enough that their attacker swings both ways.

[–]SweetBabyCheeses 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Of course there’s a danger. Even the TIMs themselves admit that - they’re too scared to use the gents in case they get attacked. Either they’re actually “stealth” in which case this is misogyny not transphobia. Or it’s blokes attacking other blokes because they’re dressed up “ as women” in which case, not our problem! Men gonna be men.

That’s Olympic weightlifting - the snatch and clean & jerk. Very dynamic and technical movements. Powerlifting is just deadlift, back squat and bench press or shoulder press - much more simple movements. The former requires good genetics, skill, technique, mobility - they’re more like gymnasts than body builders. The latter requires pure strength and the average bloke will usually be able to lift around double the women, so HRT doesn’t suddenly halve this!

However They’ve obviously got the other half seriously wrong in confusing sex and gender. I don’t get what’s sooo bad about biological sex? This concept is so dumb. It comes with a complete misunderstanding of what HRT is. The replacement doesn’t actually mean “will magically replace your body into that of a fully functioning woman”. It just means it replaces SOME of the hormones missing in WOMEN who don’t make enough. If this had anything to do with fertility then it’s would be used as a female fertility treatment! For the women who need it, eg menopausal women and those with low oestrogen following chemo for example, it still can’t make them fertile again. And even then it’s only enough to alleviate the symptoms (although it comes with its own side effects).

I believe that he is genetically a male, hormonally a male, is physiologically clearly a male, was raised as a baby girl due to undeveloped external genitalia, internal testes not ovaries, but now identifies as a man (or a butch lesbian but that’s not really safe in South Africa). Having a micro penis does not mean he has a vagina.

“there is a group of people who feel a desperate need to socially and medically transition and whose lives are improved by transition”. I feel like these people are living in a fantasy world. They’d be better off accepting and learning to love themselves as they are. There’s no such thing as socially transitioning unless you mean acting out enough gender stereotypes (eg for men, long hair, make-up, high heels) that some people start to try to address them as female out of politeness. Any kind of delusion that they’re “passing” is just that, a delusion. Medically transitioning is even more problematic. I don’t know how any ethical surgeon can mutilate healthy bodies. Again, it also make a mockery of female stereotypes. Even without the surgery it’s not a transition from a to b, it’s still a lifetime of daily medication?

SS has been all over the media recently. The last time this happened a few years ago it was about his weight loss. Reading between the lines of this and his recent interviews this gender dysmorphia seems to have stemmed from the fact that he used to be obese since childhood. He had gynaecomastia (boy boobs) and potentially also a more typically female fat distribution on his thighs and ass rather than the male belly. Maybe this was a hormone imbalance but maybe that’s sometimes just how it goes. Anyway, he was able to alleviate his feelings of fat shame by explaining to himself that he actually must’ve had a woman’s body and that his excess fat were actually synonymous with the curves of a woman. Hey presto - no longer has to feel bad about being overweight and gay (not my words!) if those parts are female identifying 😂 I swear whoever his therapist is must be laughing all the way to the bank...

Is this the future? by anxietyaccount8 in GenderCritical

[–]SweetBabyCheeses 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This is never going to be the future. Think about HRT for women rather than men - it alleviates some of the symptoms of menopause, but not within side effects. And most importantly - it does not allow them to keep their fertility. So even though they have all the necessary female organs, structures, genes still etc - we have not yet worked out a way to administer female hormones to just keep it going! Then I’m supposed to believe that you could transplant that uterus into a male body and somehow make it work with HRT? How would their cells contain any instructions on how to make a placenta?! How would their bodies know how to respond to the babies demands for various nutrients from them through this system? How would these babies signal that they’re ready to be born? This whole debacle just shows how little people think of what being a woman means. We are not just men pumped full of HRT with a uterus sack inside us. The systems needed to create and sustain life are written into our genes. You either make small or large gametes and no amount of surgical tinkering or genetic mishap is going to change that.

Can you explain why gender identity does not exist? Don't cisgender people identify as/feel like they are the sex they were assigned at birth? 4) Can you explain why gender identity does not exist? Don't cisgender people identify as/feel like they are the sex they were assigned at birth? Don't other animals identify as their sex assigned at birth due to lack of cognitive ability to identify as anything but their own sex?

I am offended by the term cisgender as it is comprised of two words - neither of which I identify with at all! I guess I’d compare not believing in gender identity in the same way that there’s lots of other belief systems that I don’t prescribe to, because I know that they’re not true - religion, Tooth Fairy, flat-earth, Santa Claus, curses, Loch Ness Monster, unicorns, Scientology, essential oils, the Law of Attraction. I could go on forever. But I am not defined by my non-belief in these systems. The except is perhaps religion, where I am forced into the label “atheist”. I also find it offensive to have to select this option of being defined “as not believing in a made up higher power.”

I don’t prescribe to many of the gender stereotypes - I rarely wear makeup or high heels, I hate shopping, I have lots of male friends, my hobbies are more often done by men. Yet it has never even occurred to me for a fleeting second that I might not be anything but a woman.

I’m glad that you bring up other species though because clearly other animals are not assigned anything at birth. I’ve watched a lot of David Attenborough documentaries and that has never been mentioned. I guess animals can instinctively tell which of them are which sex due to the fact that they usually look/smell a bit different. I guess the biological urge to successfully reproduce and pass on genes that fuels all life on this planet also sometimes means they behave differently. Anyway, my point is that we are also animals and we are no different! I could take a Lion, shave off his mane, castrate him, teach him how to hunt etc but something tells me that the rest of the pack are never going to be fooled. He’s not miraculously a lioness is he?
