They stock them for people to buy online? How is that not selling? How is that not contributing to the dissemination of the writers' ideas and to their coffers? The not stocking JKR stuff is 100 percent a cynical marketing spin from a current event.- buy from us, we're so moral.

That is literally 100% selling, they’re trying to gaslight.

They also have the Ickabog and Sorcerers Stone on the site. They person that wrote me said they were a curator and stocked books that people wanted. They said stocking books isn't endorsing...which i agreed with; I am tired of this OH NO you read this writer?!??!?! Don't you know they are a bad person? I hope this stunt backfires on them and they go out of business.

Wow, what hypocrites. They won't have J.K. Rowling in their store, but they will sell her books on their website? Way to take a stand there.

Good for you for complaining. I'm sure they've gotten plenty of other pushback. Hopefully they look back on this in 20 years and realize they were on the wrong side of history.

They have selected books of hers on her website. And they have Silence of the Lambs, Enders game and the Complete Works of Lovecraft i hope they get pushback too. They do have a point that it is not technically censorship because they have the right to sell what they want to sell. But it is incredibly stupid. And not selling her books does not mean they care one ioata about anyone but themselves.

I am glad I didn;'t ;.et it bother me that they accused me of harrassment, I hope they think about what hypocrites they are. How can they say they are anti transphobia and have Silence of the Lambs!

On their insta when they explain about the JK thing they mentioned how her pen name Robert Galbraith was from that creepy guy. I tweeted them proof and called them out on it but of-course no reply

The guy's name was Robert Heath, Galbraith was his middle name but no one knew that until very recently and he was always referred to as Robert Heath or Robert G. Heath. You can google his name and search by date to prove this. I could only find one very obscure journal entry that listed his middle name prior to the creation of his wikipedia page in 2017. That's a full 10 years after the first crime novel by "Robert Galbraith" was published.

The journalist who put the creeps story in the media also made a tweet defending JK that she could not have know of his existance

That is sort of a creepy coincidence. Then again it is pretty obvious that she isn't some wingnut.

The person i was emailing was apparently a curator. I kind of got the impression from them that they wished they didn't have to sell books they felt harmed their community but felt they had too if a person really wanted them? This is why bookstores and the like should just stick with selling books. Because if you really took that idea(writers with offensive opinions should be banned) You will have nothing to sell.

“They are still hypocrites though for not calling out every writer that has offensive opinions.”

Ummm not sure about this as I don’t think JKR does have offensive opinions does she? I mean, anyone can disagree with anyone but I don’t think that anyone can say that her opinions are offensive or controversial. She’s definitely not even transphobic.
