Ooooh my fellow gay friends and I had a brunch over the weekend (duh), and we talked about JK Rowling. Most were in disagreement over trans women in female sports and transing of children, and some were not even aware that such a thing was going on. In the end they also agreed with JKR. Real world is much more logical than echo chambers of reddit and twitter, and we have to thank JKR for making it mainstream.

At the same time there have to be awareness at mass level so that trans lobby is removed from pharmaceuticals, social media and politics, because as long as they got that lobby, things are going to be hard.

Seems like TQs are getting pressed about not being included in the concept of homosexuality. Homosexuality is about 2 men and 2 women in a relationship. That makes it a homosexual relationship. Non binary is one of the most pretentious, self-absorbed, and privileged concepts i have ever seen. If you wake up in the morning and your biggest struggle is to think what gender identity you feel as on that day, what colour lipstick will make you more edgy (usually black), what gendered clothes you have to pick, what gendered barber you must go to, and what gendered colour you relate to, or if you are half boy or half girl, I'm not sorry to say but you are creating oppression where it doesn't really exist. So in JKRowling sub there was a link submitted by someone that explained about the 4 authors that left JKR's agency. I replied about the video in which one of the authors, Fox Fisher, said, "T should not be latched onto LGB because it muddies the waters and makes people think that the T is deviant... y'know, like the LGB." The whole conversation was about transgender youth.

I have observed that as well. I did a search on google the other day- "list of human rights of women attacked by trans movement", and it just showed me the results of how trans rights are under attack on the first page.

I did the same search on bing, and over there i got list of feminist blogs and other links which gave me what i needed.

First comes the USA 2018 reported hate crime stats. Its pretty simple and the table (https://ucr.fbi.gov/hate-crime/2018/tables/table-1.xls) states that gay men face more abuse than any other sub-community of LGBT community.

For reported Canadian hate crime stats of 2018 (2019 is not yet available), they have lumped sexual orientation as a single category, and there is no further quantification available. (https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/en/tv.action?pid=3510006601). They do have a Uniform Crime Reporting Survey, but the results of it are collected in the table format that is in the link above. Not something that I was looking for.

UK is where it gets quite interesting. I checked the crime stats from the report from House of Commons Library report for police reported incidents for England and Wales 2018/19 (http://researchbriefings.files.parliament.uk/documents/CBP-8537/CBP-8537.pdf). If you open the report, and go to page 22, you will see the statement "Transgender people were around twice as likely to experience threats of physical or sexual harassment or violence compared with the LGBT community as a whole (11% v 5%)", with a source to another report (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/721704/LGBT-survey-research-report.pdf#page=70). Obviously, it takes you to a table on page 70 of that report where quantification is done based on sexual orientation. UK's HOC report says that trans people get twice as likely abuse than any other sub-community in the LGBT community, yet there is no mention of transgender in the LGBT survey report stats on the follow up table. All they mention is "queer", and that is not a conclusive proof of trans identities.

Two straight girls can kiss once in their lives and call themselves queer. How can they have such a vague term in the survey for hate crime reports? It is beyond me. Maybe this helps them to have results in their favour, but if more people can speak against it and more people are aware, we wouldn't be taking TRA's words at face value and mollycoddling them.

It is supposed to be, but somehow in the last 3 years the words are losing their meaning (they call it evolution of language) and making it more "inclusive" of everyone.

Originally sex was the word that was used to differentiate people and other animals more than gender, but when the former started getting associated more with the act, gender replaced it. Over the time gender got the meaning of something that exists in the brain and sex is between your legs. Now, gender is expanded into something breaks the stereotypes, and at the same time it reinforces them, because it is tied to how to express yourself in day to day life.
