Me, 2016: wow, Republicans don’t like gay people. I’ll never vote for them.

Me, 2021: Well, looks like Republicans are the last line for gay people. I’m drinking a beer and cheering on Rand Paul.

Yeah, I feel like I have whiplash. I don't know who I'm going to consistently vote for in the future; perhaps I'll just take each race on a case-by-case basis on my ballot.

As you should.

And the GOP are barely doing it, and mostly doing it wrong, or it's just for religion or abortion politics. Women of all types and same-sex attracted men are being sacrificed on the trans altar.

I’m kind of starting to think the reasons we don’t want this don’t even cross the GOP’s minds. Dan Crenshaw posted a video to his Instagram yesterday where he said he’s not opposed to gay people but there were three reasons he wouldn’t back the act: women’s sports and two religious liberty issues. He’s a guy who will generally outline all the reasons why he’s rejecting something. So, it seems like the multitude of women’s issues, the potential to medically damage children, the inability to coherently define “gender identity”, and the fact that the bill is just using LGB people as a shield for radical trans issues don’t even occur to him.

Idk. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m writing both of my senators to hopefully draw some attention to the fact that there are way more issues with this than religious liberty and women’s sports.

If you have time, please call Dan Crenshaw's office and as many senators as you can.

The feminists at ovarit.com have been doing a lot of calling to Congressional offices, including to Congresspeople who do not represent them, and have often been allowed to air many of their concerns about the Equality Act.

Dan Crenshaw is a character half (more?) of conservatives don't like either. But yeah, who is speaking up (from any side) about the erasure of women? Too much focus on abortion, religion, and maybe they'll mention sports. Nobody much is saying "women deserve bodily privacy!" Victoria Spartz of Indiana DID bring up women's prisons and several points we talk about. I sent her a thank you the other day. Someone else, maybe the great BEB, posted the video the other day. Ah, found a copy: https://youtu.be/2YjLZQNVPGU

Yeah, and I really don't trust the GOP Senators not to gobble up the cash the trans lobby is throwing around.

Never in a billion years did I think that feminists and non-conservative gay men would cheer on Rand Paul, but Paul is spot on in questioning the mutilation of and dangerous drugs being given to (mostly gay) children under the guise of "changing sex."

[–][deleted] 30 insightful - 1 fun30 insightful - 0 fun31 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

"I'll be happy to come to your office..."

And what Paul should have said:

"No, we're having this conversation now."

[–]BEB 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Great point.

Rand Paul also shouldn't have said "change sex" because that's giving into the gender lobby's completely batshit unscientific assertion that a human being can actually change sex.

[–][deleted] 23 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 0 fun24 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Should have said "change the appearance or presentation of one's sex."

[–]BEB 19 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 0 fun20 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yes. Perhaps we should all call Rand Paul's office and gently correct him? I think it would be worth it on two levels:

1) Paul would know that a bunch of gays and leftist women were thrilled that he tried to point out how horrible transitioning children is.

2) Paul would realize that normal Americans still don't believe a person can change sex by claiming they have, so he doesn't have to worry about being called a "transphobe" by anyone sane for stating immutable biological truths.

[–]usehername 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

You know what, he would like to hear that. I'll shoot his office an email.

[–]BEB 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think if we in the US regarding stopping the Equality Act in the Senate do as much as we can - like even a call or email a day to a Senator - we will make headway.

I think the GOP had no idea that there are feminists gnashing their teeth at this legislation, so it would be helpful if we told them. I ALWAYS mention that I am a feminist who has volunteered & donated for the Democrats/

[–]our_team_is_winning 24 insightful - 2 fun24 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Dr. Paul should have said "it is biologically impossible to change sex."

[–]usehername 22 insightful - 1 fun22 insightful - 0 fun23 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Why the fuck won't anyone on the left speak out about this? Whose payroll are they on?

[–]our_team_is_winning 25 insightful - 2 fun25 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Whose payroll are they on?

Big Pharma? Soros? The Cult of the Woque. And I think some are actually too ill-informed to realize what they're even saying. They think they're helping gay people's civil rights. (And they haven't even read the damn bill, I'm sure.)

[–]PassionateIntensity 16 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

90% of liberals who aren't paying attention believe this helps gay people and women. The trans lobby works in secret, that's how they've achieved legislative change in every country in the world. The only country that halted it somewhat (UK) did it by exposing them. The US media has a blackout on our side of the story, or just tells bald-faced lies.

[–]julesburm1891 14 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

This. The liberals I know irl who are cheering this on are going to be ticked in a few years when they see the repercussions of what it actually entails.

Trans-Tech Is A Budding Industry: So Why Is No One Investing In It? Dec 2020 Trans-tech is a budding industry with an enormous opportunity, RKA claims. “Our estimates place the average cost of transition at $150,000 per person. Multiply that by an estimated population of 1.4 million transgender people, we’re taking about a market in excess of $200B. That is significant. That’s larger than the entire film industry.” https://www.forbes.com/sites/alyssawright/2020/12/08/trans-tech-is-a-budding-industry-so-why-is-no-one-investing/?sh=493f1354e3c3

Everyone who did speak out was purged/fired/deplatformed. This started at low levels several years ago. The only ones left are true believers or too scared to say shit. Social media even bans/purges nobodies. It was a cull, mostly in secret. The public who haven't been paying attention don't even know there's a controversy or that the Equality Act is anything other than a stunning achievement for feminism.

[–]usehername 11 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I think it's still important to speak out despite one's fear. I've been "speaking out" in a very low-key way at my university (writing and presenting papers about related topics), and I've only had one professor politely disagree with me. They're trying so hard to silence us because we're right and the truth has power, but most normies will agree when they hear the truth plainly spoken.

Yes, this is exactly the reason TRAs went berserk on JK Rowling. She was kind of disinterested in all this then she defended some random "nobody" on twitter and everything spiraled from there.

I wish Rand Paul had mentioned that Keira is a lesbian. The public needs to know about the inherent conflict between LGB and the modern T.

[–]BEB 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I don't know that Rand Paul thinks that women can be attracted to anyone but him. Just kidding, kind of.

But, just for this moment, I LOVE YOU RAND PAUL

“I met with Dr. Levine while at HHS and asked a simple question. "What does it mean to be male or female?" Much like @RandPaul, I couldn't get an answer. Science is about clarity and openness to review while ideology is about subjectivity backed by coercion of those who disagree.”
