If transmen are men, why is it misogyny to not want to fuck them?

Also, if we’re pretending it’s misogynistic to not be sexually attracted to women, you have to acknowledge all straight women are misogynists. 🙄

That moment when the FtM hivemind let the masks slip just a bit too much.

What the hell is this subreddit. A sub about a TV show that supposedly supports gay men, and a post about shaming homosexuality gets 600 upvotes?

It’s disappointing from the show because I still hear so many gay men saying things like “vaginas are disgusting”, which is an incredibly close minded and exclusionary sentiment.

Comments like this make me wonder whether most straight people ever understood what homosexuality is in the first place...

edit: At least someone's sane:

Sorry but we really need to have a discussion about why people who are clearly not gay men think it is appropriate to comment and judge on how gay men discuss their sexuality. Being gay and existing in a society that sets hererosexual relationships as the norm leads to many engaging in sexual relationships they don't want, so obviouslywe find it interesting to discuss these things.. As a gay man it would be wrong for me to start policing the subcultures of lesbians, nonbinary or transgender people , so please show the same respect and don't police an identity you don't belong to.

(Not aimed at OP but the sub in general)

This is rather pathetic, isn't it? Shaming of gay men by other gay men for being....checks notes... 100% gay men.

It is not misogynistic to not want to have sex with women. It's pretty normal to be repulsed by the genitals of the sex you aren't attracted to, especially in a sexual context.

Trans-exclusionary is nonsense. Gay men aren't excluding trans men because they are trans, it's because they are women and they exclude all women, regardless of how they identify.

This trans-exclusionary shit is getting old, they're being treated the same way as every other person of their sex is. What they're asking for is to be treated differently because they are trans.

They really just said it's close-minded for gay men to be disgusted by vagina. As if society doesn't expect the opposite of all men. As if accepting vagina as a man isn't the default. There's some close-mindedness here, and it's not the gays.

Wait, misogynist AND trans-exclusionary to care about being a gold star gay? As in, the misogyny is not fully related to or reliant on the trans-exclusionary aspect of it? As in it is morally wrong to not be attracted to women? Hmm, sounds like there's some more going on here.

And the criticisms that aren't going on here include the fact that the whole concept of a "gold star gay" is a way of some gays acting like they're better than others because there is a group of gay men who have had sex with people they aren't attracted to, either because of confusion about their sexuality, societal pressures, or something worse like societal threats. Someone pretending to be straight for their own protection, even to the point of having kids with a partner they are not attracted to, is nothing to be ashamed of and the concept of a gold star gay is a dumb and useless thing to label people over.

But to complain about gold stars because it shows that gay men don't want to have sex with women? Ridiculous.

I saw the episode. It was like maybe a minute or just under a minute of gay men talking about who has and hasn't had sex with a woman.

I was s h a k i n g from the bigotry. /s
