If you have to announce your politics, dietary habits, and philosophical leanings before having a conversation with someone, you’re probably an insufferable boor. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I actually prefer having that in profiles because:

(A) it lets me know immediately that they're an insufferable boor,

(B) it lets me know that I don't have to chat until I find out someone is a vegan (I'm an omnivore and most vegans I know don't stop letting me know that they're vegans and that I should be too), and

(C) those long ass descriptions often uses phrases like 'no terfs' or 'no bigots' or 'looking for someone who's open-minded' or 'good vibes only', which immediately earns them a swipe left.

Depends on what you're looking for. If you're interested in a long lasting relationship, finding other vegetarians when you're one yourself is a major plus. It's a big hassle in the day to day life otherwise.

The other two can be used as red flags or conversation starters, so I don't think they always should be avoided on a profile either. After all, if someone's life goal is to live in a commune on a farm, I'd prefer to be informed before I invest time in developing a relationship with them.

That’s a lot of words to say “I’m an insufferable person”

Also idk enough about gay sex to understand what a “vers top” is, but women really take testosterone for a few months then go on gay cruising apps and assign themselves sex roles as if they belong there or have any idea wtf they’re talking about. I’ll never understand the audacity of these people

A verse top is someone is mainly a penetrative role, but sometimes likes to get penetrated.

i've talked to someone like this on grindr before and called him out. This was after an "antifa" group came in and did the very brave thing to invade and hijack the pride parade in a very big city im in. they "saved the day". Their violent leader was a trans identified male. i talked to him and he was genuinely...genuinely shocked that a gay person would criticize him. theyre a very clueless people. he was an "anarchist" with 40 buttons, highly unattractive and giving terms and conditions on how to approach him. he only tolerated the back and forth because he thought we would probably be having sex in the end. he didnt get it. this is why gay history is important and why all these groups wants to hijack it. he thinks he's late to an anarchist battle and that gays are ready to build bombs and blow up the government. he wasnt even mentally ill. he thinks it's our responsibility to attack everyone for his socioeconomic needs.

A lot of these Antifa types don’t understand that what they are doing is bad. They’re idiots. Dangerous idiots, but idiots nonetheless.

I see a lot of these profiles in my city. My first reaction is always to block their crazy asses. I might as well remove them from my grindr space and have a 6pack hotty in that square who will just ghost me.

At least you can block. The Her treats blocking like reporting, so you can't block someone if you're not interested or don't like them, they need to have done something :/

What? That's a really shitty algorithm for a dating app.

I think they did it because they know real women would block trans

They only just brought back the term 'woman' for gender identity. It was womxn for years (to appease trans women and non binaries), but trans woman got to keep the a anyway. What.

Online dating sucks. But yeah, definitely a pass on this one, even if I was bisexual.

Reminds of that "trans femme" guy in the Evergreen State College student protests.
