Only attracted to the opposite sex

Mostly / only attracted to the same sex

Ffs, they didn’t even give an actual homosexual response option on this survey.

Because being homosexual is a hate crime nowadays, so we have to subliminally let people know that even though they said they're gay, they may be pan or whatever other fake stuff is out there

What does that make heterosexuality?

That is also a hate crime, but the TQ+ crowd knows there are too many straights that will fight back and completely squash them in an instant. Not only are straights the majority by a large margin, but they have a lower brainwashing rate than LGB because no one can say that straights got their rights from transwomen of color, straights always had their rights. So if they go after the straights now, then the TRA movement would be destroyed.

Oh they don't want to go against the heteros. They know they will get the flak for it.

I think it's more that most of them are heterosexual themselves (even if they don't want to admit it), so why would they attack their fellow straight people? They can empathize with not being attracted to the same sex.

And the creepy homosexual transsexuals who really want straight men to fuck them actually put in the effort to pass convincingly enough as women to try and trick straight men into fucking them. They don't just sit around crying about it like transbians do.

That is not heterosexuality by any stretch of the imagination.

...I never said it was? I was pointing out the difference between homosexual and heterosexual transsexuals. Het ones put little to no effort into passing and then attack gay people for not wanting them, while HSTS tend to try to be more stealthy about it. That's part of the reason why most of the aggression coming from the trans community is aimed at gay people and not straight people, in my opinion. That and there's just a lot more heterosexual trans people at this point, especially if you count enbies.

Then I'm black despite looking like God took Ricky Schroder and Barry Manilow and split the difference. Seriously, there is no ideologically coherent or scientifically sound position that rejects tr-nsracialism but not tr-nssexualism.

Uhhh did you mean to reply to me with that? Because I have no idea what you're talking about now.

Actually, I've got the survey rsults, and there was an actual homosexual response https://www.ipsos.com/sites/default/files/ct/news/documents/2020-06/ipsos-mori-lgbtq-polling-tables_260620_public.pdf (page 18)

The numbers given are, that 9% (48 respondents) of all men and 6% (36 respondents) of all women asked claimed to be only attracted to the same sex (6% (8 respondents) in genration z claimed same sex attraction only, page 19).

[–]LilianH 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

But page 20/21 list only 3 women who identify as lesbian.

I dunno about other people, but where I live, I have heard someone who is herself lesbian suggest to me that we shouldn't be using that word. The lesbians are still there, although in low numbers; just, many may feel bad about calling themselves that.

[–]julesburm1891 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

...what did she suggest calling ourselves instead?

[–]reluctant_commenter 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

She calls herself gay usually. Which is not wrong if you take gay = homosexual I guess, but at least where I am at, many people treat "gay" as a continuum, they say "a little bit gay" or bisexual people will be like "oh yeah I'm so gay" even though they are bi. Not trying to bash bisexuals, though! It seems like gay erasure and bi erasure...

Thank you! This is interesting. I’m not really surprised to see that homosexual people are a small, but fairly constant figure across generation though.

Here's some of the aggregated data:

https://i.imgur.com/atr5wqj.jpg

The data is strange. 54% of Gen Z respondents say they are only attracted to the opposite sex while 76% of Gen Z say they are heterosexual. These numbers should be the same. For the Baby Boomers these same numbers are 81% and 89% respectively. Incidentally, there were only 3 lesbians and 25 gay men included in the poll.

There is a lot of pressure among my age group and younger to suggest that you are "open, hypothetically" to being attracted to someone of the same sex. Like, I am probably understating it lol. E.g. "omg I saw this person of [sex I'm not usually attracted to] at the grocery store and I was amazed at how attractive they were!" A straight man never thinks men are attractive, according to this mindset-- if you think someone is attractive even if YOU personally are not attracted to them, then it means "sexuality is fluid" and you're partly attracted to the other sex. Therefore "everyone is bisexual." This is reasoning I have commonly heard.

People need to understand that sexual orientation doesn’t mean you suddenly become blind. Do I acknowledge that Chris Hemsworth is an attractive guy? Yes. Does that mean I want to bone Chris Hemsworth or any other guy? Nope. Absolutely never.

Yeah, that completely makes sense. You can see how so many people might get confused though, right? It is yet another harm resulting from language that blurs and erodes people's boundaries. Trans rights activists' re-defining and policing of language does make a difference.

I was worried their contagious and ambiguifying linguistic attitudes would lead to lower quality data like this. Makes it harder to compose arguments against them. Which is probably what they want. It's hard to debate through fog.

My little sister is 18 and basically believes this. She's only ever liked boys, but she thinks Halsey is pretty so she's "pansexual" now... even though she'd never date a girl.

[–]reluctant_commenter 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah I've heard similar things from many of my friends.

They also include "emotional connections" to the same sex as pansexuality. TF? 🤦🏿‍♀️

Wow, I bet it has absolutely nothing to do with “queer” and “LGBTQ” being trendy, but meaningless buzzwords to signal how woke you are.

This is the same mentality as Holocaust denial. And I'm Jewish so I get to make that comparison. And I don't and never will work for Disney so there.

[–]GoValidateYourselfuseful lesbian 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

I'm not Jewish, but I know Jewish neighbours who I'm friends with. I have never heard them compare anything to Holocaust denial, ever. Why do you think those things are comparable? I mean, just the fact that it was a historical event we have tons of documentation for, eyewitness accounts, physical evidence across landscapes, would differentiate it from modern TQ activism against lesbians. B/c the latter is a live issue, and cannot be easily seen by a lot of people?

There is a push to eliminate homosexuality via chemical/physical means, and this is it. The Nazis also killed gays in addition to Jews and other groups of people.

[–]Rag3 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Have we forgotten about electric shock therapy in the US (up until the 90s btw!) and chemical castration in the UK as a means of conversion therapy? Or when gay bashing actually meant going out and killing gay people? Or hell, what’s happening in Iran today with homosexuals being forced to convert or be killed? Roaming groups of religious police who murder same sex couples in African countries... etc

Why do we have to compare it to the Nazi regime when this mindset is all over the place even today?

[–]haveanicedaytoo💗💜💙 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Electric shock therapy (Electroconvulsive therapy) is still a thing. I had to check myself in to a mental hospital for intense suicidal ideation (like I was legit ready to do it, I needed some other people besides myself to stop me) and in the 4 days I stayed there, electric shock therapy was one of the things I was offered for my depression. That's when I realized I was better off outside than inside. I don't want to get too specific but this happened after 2015 in a very scientifically/medically advanced part of America at a fancy private hospital that my insurance somehow covered. (I'm much better now.)

[–]Rag3 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh yes, ECT is still a thing but it’s no longer used as treatment for homosexuality. I’ve considered the treatment for myself for resistant depression.

I’m glad you’re better now. ❤️

Because they are National SOCIALISTS. The Holocaust was an act of leftists. Hitler and Mussolini were both of the left then, now, and forever. The anti-Israel hate speech of the so-called left is no different than the Jew hate of the 1930s. It's the exact same shit coming out of different assholes.

And the Nazis were pro-tr-nscult. In fact, by their arbitrary and bigoted standards, Dr. Mengele was a pioneer in the field of tr-ns research.
