If one TRA could tell me the difference between a transbian in a dress and a straight man in a dress, I’d fall over dead of surprise.

Straight man in a dress: 1) A creep, or 2) A unique guy who goes against the flow

Transbian in a dress: Definitely an insufferable creep you wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole

“twanswomen aren’t men in dresses!“ “men wearing dresses is appropriating twans culture!”

I’m surprised “sara” didn’t accuse him of being a closeted transwoman because he wore a dress.

How the fuck is a man wearing a dress "appropriation" of trans culture when that's the definition of trans?

This whole thing honestly reminds me of the "drag culture is transphobic!" discourse that took over trans Twitter a few years ago. Now they're trying to claim that drag falls under the trans umbrella, but also men wearing dresses is transphobic. They cannot get their minds together.

[–]fuck_reddit 17 insightful - 2 fun17 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That discourse is especially ironic imo because most of their "historical" trans people are drag queens they've transed. Also, they need to get rid of drag queens cause it's extremely inconvenient to their narrative that drag queens have existed longer and are more prevalent than trans people. Also shows gay men can be GNC in the most extreme way, up to and including spending hours looking like a woman (often more successfully than trans people imo), use female pronouns during shows (and get people to voluntarily call them that), and, in some cases, be successful performers. Drag queens just demolish their narrative.

How the fuck is a man wearing a dress "appropriation" of trans culture when that's the definition of trans?

Well, yeah, that's the objective definition; what's going on in reality. But of course that's not the TRANS definition. Quite the reverse. Because in order for their genderist ideology to work... there can't be ANY SUCH THING. "Dress = woman" is required. Otherwise, how can a man signal that he's "really" a woman? And not just... a man in a dress? He can't. So dresses must remain off-limits for men IN GENERAL. At least those without LadyfeelzTM.

Ironic that in donning a dress, Mr. Styles is thereby demonstrating that the Trans-Emperor has no clothes.

[–]fuck_reddit 18 insightful - 2 fun18 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yep. That's it at its core. They're terrified the rest of society will realize "hey, Styles likes to wear dresses but he still says he's a man." I personally am not into men in dresses, but I'd take that any day over "wearing a dress makes you trans."

I've been trying to dress "masculine" or "neutral" to combat my feminine apperance & not feel like a gross freak or get harassed, but this post makes me want to go around wearing dresses on the regular just to spite morons like you, "Sara".

Exactly how much thought has to be expended before the penny drops and the absurdity of 'gender' becomes blatantly apparent for all to see?

"So, you are telling me that a man can wear a dress without taking hormones and chop off his dick? You transphobe!"

[–]cutenoobies 18 insightful - 2 fun18 insightful - 1 fun19 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

This is the reality of their ideology. GNC is about breaking gender stereotypes, but this new trans ideology is about putting people back in gender stereotypes. Cishet men can't put dresses, women can't put on pants or mustn't be strong or just be giggling, pink or blue and all that. The new remodeled woke right is what they are.

[–]purrvana 15 insightful - 5 fun15 insightful - 4 fun16 insightful - 5 fun -  (0 children)

They have the balls to say trans women aren't appropriating womanhood, but then get pissy at this. Lmao. Pot meet kettle.

I love how they always claim tits and dicks aren't what make you a man or woman. Silly ass me, it was my dress the whole fucking time! I saw this and thought oh hey a stupid dude in a dress and moved on with my life. It doesn't hurt me when people wear ugly clothing. So what if this dude IS NB or something. Are they assuming his fucking gender? RAGE!!!!!!

"...that says trans women are just men in dresses.."

dingdingdingdingding

[–]CAB_Life 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I mean, the respondent almost reaches a state of self-enlightenment by claiming that (most—I’ll add, since there are genuine transitioners): “trans women are just men in dresses”. But naturally, they fall short of self awareness.

"When does this get to be a appropriation of trans culture? will people see this is a mockery of women? Cishet men Trans males wearing dresses and shouting "trans women are women" is a euphemism that says trans women are just men in dresses what makes anyone a women is wearing 'spinny' dresses and calling themselves a women."

Fixed that for you Sara.

So they accuse drag of being appropriation of trans culture just so they can then say that drag is invalidating of trans identities?

These morons really do have a victim complex

If you think this is laughable, you should check out Alok Menon’s Instagram post on this same Vogue cover! It’s gold!😂

"Boys can't wear dresses, that's not allowed!"

I am wholly in favour of men and women completely ignoring or intentionally subverting traditional gender norms and doing whatever they please with their fashion choices. Trans is so regressive.

[–]Penguinberri 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Such regressive sexism! Only women can wear dresses? Ever been to Scotland? Or a 90s goth night out or studied fashion history ever?!
