Where to even begin with how yikes this one is by CleverFoolOfEarth in LGBDropTheT

This is where I'd begin.

Truth: corresponding with reality; veridical.

If these propositions are self-evident truths, I wouldn't need to be reminded of them. Consider, I don't need to be reminded that 0+1=1, it is axiomatic- a self-evident proposition.

If these propositions are true but are nonetheless not self-evident, it is reasonable to expect supporting propositions that are themselves self-evident to authenticate the non-self-evident propositions.

It is not reasonable to expect me to adopt a non-self-evident proposition as true without support for those propositions.

Without support, these statements are as reasonable to adopt as those asserting the world is flat, the king of England lives in Idaho, or green beans taste good.

Perhaps a useful way to think about those times when two or more accounts of the same experience honestly and genuinely don't align is by recognizing that my perception of the truth may be different from yours, and that neither my perception nor yours need be definitive.

I legitimately do not understand what the author of the graphic is arguing. Seems like he or she is saying that if you're born female and also attracted to females you're a transperson? I thought that simply made you a lesbian.

What am I missing?

I'm a pretty masculine guy, so I can't speak from experience only from outward observation. There are some of us who are very much attracted to gender-nonconforming men. My boyfriend is such a man and I find him extremely attractive. Don't give up looking, and don't lower your standards. You'll find him.

As a gay man in his mid 30s, I'm not sure if I qualify as an older gay man, but I'll respond nonetheless haha.

Two sayings come to mind, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink," and, "there are none so blind as those who refuse to see." At some point the younger gay guys and the woke gay guys have to see for themselves that they are chasing clouds, that their ideas for how the world works, or how they think it should work, are wrong. Until they are at least open to that possibility, that they could be wrong about some really big and important things, they will only hear their own voices. It would be quixotic for me to attempt to change their minds.

Being a Gender Critical Feminine Gay Man (Difficulty, feeling alone) by Kai_Decadence in LGBDropTheT

[–]Trolley 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing some of your story. As a gay man who is very much gender critical and also very much into gender nonconforming men, I hope you'll know that we do exist. My boyfriend sounds like he has a similar story to yours, at least in as much as he is both very feminine and very gender critical. I am more stereotypically masculine, and I know that makes many things easier for me where society and our sexuality meet. I wish that wasn't so, but I know it is. Even so, don't give up hope. Keep being you. Keep insisting on the truth. You'll find him.

Perhaps you misspoke - no one has a right to land in America. The Declaration of Independence says that we are endowed by our Creator with the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It, however, is not a legally binding document on the American government. What is a legally binding document on the American government is the Constitution. That document's fifth and fourteenth amendments says that we have rights to life, liberty, and property that cannot be denied us without due process. Those amendments prohibit both state and federal governments from depriving a person in the United States of life, liberty, or property without following their own laws (procedural due process), and prevent state and federal governments from violating fundamental human rights as recognized by the Supreme Court even if they pass a law allowing them to do so (substantive due process).

But nothing in the Constitution says anything about a civil right to land.

You aren't the only one. I'm a gay man who categorically rejects gender identity and the transgender movement. I know a handful of like-minded gay men as well, though, admittedly, I also know far more gay men who are fully on-board with the Transgender nonsense.
