I have been doing Judo since I was about 6. My father was a Judoka so were my bro's and sisters. My dad was big on Judo. So as a Judoka under the UK belt system I am a Brown (1st Kyu) and a Brown belt in BJJ. I also as a kid did the WIng Chun > JKD journey as a huge fan of Bruce. I think many of us did. Although I have not undertaken either for over 30 odd years.

I started BJJ much much later in the late 90's once it had come to the UK after being popularized and raised in awareness via the early UFC.

I spar MMA as well. But I am a very very lowly less than Journeyman in MMA. I prefer grappling arts. It suits my body type and size better. And whilst grappling is not without injury and pain. I fucking hate getting punched in the face. My nose has broken enough times over the years to make breathing fun at times. I do not recommend it. My hubby finds it cute luckily.

I only really spar gently these days. And mainly for cardio reasons. My days of being a punching bag for ranked amateurs are long gone.

And yes wholeheartedly agree. TMA or MMA or any derivative of are fantastic ways to keep fit, have fun and meet lots of interesting good people.

Me and my hubby are life long wrestlers, BJJ and Judo partakers. I have been doing MMA since the mid 90's.

We both teach and coach. MMA,BJJ and Judo.

I dream of the day one of these absolute nutters tries to put hands on. It is ALWAYS those with the least physical ability and skill who advocate for acts of violence. You can tell none of them has ever been in an actual real fight.

Real fights are fucking terrifying. I would literally do almost anything else than get involved in an actual real fight. And I am fairly confident in my own abilities. But fights are terrifying. Getting punched in the face is a wake up call for most when it happens for the first time.

As Mike Tyson said, 'Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face'. You only have to see videos of these twats in action in fights to see how quickly it nearly always go south for them when they raise their fists.

Even a someone with just mild skill would school these streaks of piss.

Bring it on I say. I am happy to hand out equal rights, and lefts to all and sundry. I do not discriminate.

Can confirm this anecdotally. Got diagnosed with Gender identity disorder in 1982, convinced I was a girl. Was left alone to grow. Did not end up thinking I was a girl. Just a lowly homosexual and cross dresser.

I shudder to think what modern medicine would have pushed me towards given all the pressures on the services to take part in the trans narrative. Out of fear of losing their jobs.

Which is what caused 30 GP's to quit the Tavistock gender clinic after all.

Transvestism is being deleted from the canon. It is deemed a 'problematic' and 'offensive' term by both Stonewall and GLAAD.

So in answer to your question, they are both bending history AND trying to make everyone fit under the singular transgender umbrella. Transexual has also been deemed 'problematic' by the same pair of groups amongst others.

Edit added more brain farting : Homos like any other 'group' are not a monolithic entity. There is a world of difference between how gays my age (old cunts over 40 usually, I am over 50) think about these things than the much younger generation do.

For the most part older homos are invisible. The activist types representing the rainbow flag brigade tend towards younger and a lot of activist in nature. You see them all over twitter. They often have furry or hentai avatars and use the pronoun nonsense and use phrases like valid etc.

And here in lays the rub. By stifling peoples mildly differing opinions and screaming at them and shouting and shutting them down endlessly all you do is end up bolstering their resolve and have them go find willing bedfellows somewhere else.

You can easily see how these 'protest' votes occur. Lots of people voted for things like Brexit and Trump simply to upset the apple cart somewhat. Throw a spanner in the works. Their voices have been forgotten and marginalised for so long they are at the point where they are willing to cut noses to spite their face.

This is how you radicalise people.

I am 100% more hard line politically now than I have ever been. I have never voted for a right wing party in my 50+ years on this planet. I voted remain, but I absolutely get it. My vote next time will definitely not be going towards anyone remotely in support of this psychopathy.
