They're dumbass kids/teens with an unhealthy need for consumer products, stereotypes and mass media to tell them who they are. I wouldn't "identify" with straight couples either if my idea of heterosexuality had nothing to do with sex and everything to do with a gossipy harpy chattering away on her cell phone while dragging a boyfriend-come-pack-mule behind her so she can yell at the manager at Forever 21 while he stares forlornly at every passing pair of tits.

I think that's the main one. The 'Felt Cute and Needed Head Pats' Instagram generation at large. They are so self-absorbed and obsessed with getting attention for doing nothing more than existing. I feel sorry for the kids in that generation who are not like that but are being tarred by the same brush.

It's definitely attention whoring. Have you seen The Social Dilemma that was put on Netflix recently? it delves into this instant gratification whoring through social media, how an individual's worth is viewed by the number of likes and attention they receive from their posts. I'd definitely recommend watching it

Just to clarify for anyone who might be specifically wondering: I(the one on the left) am a male assigned male at birth and my partner(the one on the right) is nonbinary/gender fluid assigned female at birth. I say boys in a gender neutral fashion and by no means mean to insult anyones defined sexuality. ❤️

I have a straight male friend who is into girls who look kinda like this girl. Kinda androgynous, "gothic" fashion, etc. Gonna have to give him the news that he isn't straight anymore.

It feels kinda sad because they're probably just a couple trying to be happy. They probably don't mean to appropriate the gay cause or anything.

But really, you wouldn't post your white couple in a space dedicated to discuss racial issues saying that your romance had to endure racism and that all lives matter.

The whole "Proud Boys" thing is absolutely idiotic. The Proud Boys are known for their questionable xenophobic and sexist views, but they are in fact gay friendly. But the narcissist idiots at reddit believe that calling them gay is an effective attack. Even ignoring how hypocritical the whole point is, it makes no logical sense.

And the people saying that it will make it difficult to search for information about the group… That not how internet searches work! More upvotes in reddit will not change the google results for everyone in the world… bunch of morons.
