I imagine many people who identify as being on the left are experiencing a crisis of faith due to the extreme faction's outsized influence over this topic--we see plenty evidence of that here on this sub. A similar thing happened between conservatives and the religious right. So wild how in just a couple of decades the shoe is now on the other foot. If people on the left want to avoid a popular snapback to the hard right, they need to contain these leftist extremists, right now it's doing them a lot of harm in the court of public opinion.

We've got to stop doing this. Defaulting to the "well the right wing does or did such and such" line. That does nothing to bring clarity to the issue at hand and only serves to muddy the waters around the debate. We need to properly identify the source of lies when they are being told. On this issue, it's not coming from the right.

Never refer to a trans identifier at work with any pronoun, just use their name when referring to them in third person.

She keeps getting held up as some paragon of rationality in the practice of transgenderism. I call bullshit. Some people will point to the Buck Angels and Blair Whites and say "see, they aren't all crazy." I suspect they are simply more cunning in presenting a conciliatory tone than the wokeholes do. For example, "transition" is not possible because one cannot become the opposite sex, yet she insists on using the term. Or another example here, putting "biologically" in front of male or female is unnecessarily redundant. Seemingly rational or crazy, they all are promoting the same base ideology. It's the concept which is at odds with the phenomenon of homosexuality.

Also, no one is saying biology "doesn't exist" -- she is relying on the same "existence" strawman, just in a different way than we're used to seeing.

At least she puts the word male in quotes, I guess that's something. I will never see her as a man because she is not the same as me.

for the most part just want to be left alone

I'm skeptical of that. Both groups are desperately seeking something from others, and indeed the males tend to be more outwardly aggressive and hostile about it. On the other hand, what appears to be quiet and modest, can be a much more cunning form of deception.

That's fair although "presenting" as having the opposite biology still seems inauthentic. I mean, it's like a short person standing on hidden stilts but willing to acknowledge they are actually short. Or say a white person who has surgeries and takes drugs to appear as a black person, but willing to acknowledge they are actually white. I dunno... isn't a fundamental part of acknowledging truth, the embrace of it?

Agree, but if we keep playing this game of referring to males as "trans" women and females as "trans" men, then we're encouraging the crazy.

The Buck Angel porn stuff is gross and obnoxious. I find her almost as bad in that regard as the AGP guys. She comes across in interviews, etc as "reasonable" but there's some sort of weird perversion behind the facade. Super MA'AM probably wins the title though, he seems like a total nutter.

My definition of manhood is the shared experience of adult males. Our physical bodies are our human basis, so body parts like genitals matter. For example, every guy can relate to one another what it's like to have a dick and balls, and that has social consequences. I wouldn't expect a female to be able to fully understand its scope. I suspect there remain many unknowns related to Y chromosome gene expression which also contribute to the male body shared experience--hormones are likely being given far too much prominence in the equation.

The "trans X ARE X" dogma is a stubborn insistence that details don't matter. It's annoyingly anti-science.

Science is never "conclusive and done." That said I completely agree that the known risks associated AAS is overwhelmingly exaggerated in the public consciousness but the problem is that nobody agrees on what constitutes "correct" usage. It's highly subjective and anyone with experience in using them knows this.

An abnormality isn't necessarily a defect. Just as people can't definitively prove they were "born that way", you can't prove that it's possible to induce homosexual desire in a person. You're so close, yet so far away.

I see it in a somewhat different perspective. Homosexual relations have an understanding of sameness that hetero relations do not have. For example, males are capable of relating to each other in ways that males and females cannot do together and vice versa. This frustrates the transgender concept because it is unable to use the cover of opposite sex unrelatability. In other words, it's easier to fool a person into believing that actual transformation to the sex opposite of the observer is possible.

On a side note I dare say that practicing the transgender concept is not sane nor reasonable. Any participation in it is being part of the cult.
