You aren’t the only one who gets pretty upset by this. I’ve always wanted to be a mother. One of the hardest things I had to come to terms with about being a lesbian is that I’d never be able to have biological children with my partner. I’m nearly thirty and it still makes me really sad. I don’t suppose it’s one of those things you ever stop being disappointed about.

Straight couples pretending they’re gay without some of the tougher aspects can go step on LEGOs.

I've heard of rare same-sex couples using a brother's sperm or sister's eggs donation to make the kid genetically both theirs. It sounds weird, but is a possible option.

It is like when transwomen complain about being infertile - including ones who have fathered biological children - because they didn't carry them, so it doesn't count.

I can't imagine how much it would fuck with their kids head to hear themselves so dismissed.

They aren't infertile and they will NEVER know what that means unless they ALREADY were unable to have children BEFORE they became trans. It's not the same fucking thing. They dont care about their kids either though so idk why the fuck they wanna carry a child anyhow.

Trans privilege

They can be more privileged than "cis" men at this point, because they have benefits of being man PLUS extra laws that makes them able to steal some benefits of women-protection laws. And their demands are listened and laws changed when they asking for changes. LGB people and women took dozens of years, a lot of protests and living through a lot of violence to put any laws about their protection in place. While Transgenders getting laws left and right almost instantly, and those laws are impairing LGB and women protections as well.

So it is not something you just created, it is reality we are living in. They are actually privileged and they are demanding even more.

Speaking scientifically - technically it is possible and was made with apes few times (but mostly experiments were done on other mammals, like mices), when one of ovums were slightly changed to become able to interract with other ovum. Both ovums must be ejected from women, and then returned to woman who had the unchanged one. This way only girls can be born, as Y chromosome is just not present.

This experiments were never done on humans (or if they were, no one disclosed), as human experiments are not legal in majority of countries, and religions will be very strongly opposing this. Human experiments are illegal, but TRA has pushed experiments on young children with not-explored puberty blockers and surgeries on kids and teens, which speaks even more about their privileged status.

And because it affects only women - such researches and experiments are going very very slowly (like any other researches which are affecting only women).

I imagine that biotechnology will eventually reach a point where two women can have female children. For gay men, there will be more hurdles since they don't have the necessary equipment.

It can be possible with surrogate mother. As there were researches about making "fake ovum" from man genetic material and it was acting like regular ovum. Similar experiments were done with two women. However, it never was done with humans, only on mammals and few times on apes. So it is unknown if two men kids would be healthy, two women kids seems to be healthy, but they always getting daughters.

Right now gay men are "making kids" by donating sperm to woman who is fine with growing up a kid and giving it for gay men parants as their kid. Lesbian women are using donated sperm from sperm banks in suringe during their sex activities to get one of them pregnant and get a kid.

Realistically speaking womb transplants for dudes is never going to happen. Too many issues. Men, imho, do not have the metabolism to sustain a pregnancy. I read somewhere that carrying a pregnancy is like running a marathon every day. I don't think dudes can do that without dying. Artificial wombs outside of a human are more realistic than womb transplants for men.

I remember years ago reading about a "lesbian" wedding that was legal because of a "loop hole" and everyone was celebrating it as like... a sticking it to the christian right and about what a huge win it was.... it was a straight marriage... a woman and a man in a dress who thinks he's a woman, got married... and we were supposed to celebrate that as OUR win? fuck off... and the craziest part of it was that the greater LGBT community ate it up.

There was a similar case that happened here in Australia many years ago. This straight couple had gotten married somewhere overseas, I think. Then came to Australia. Then the guy transitioned. Same-sex marriage was illegal in Australia at that time, but the couple went to court or something and got their marriage upheld. This was supposed to be a 'win' for the LGBT. How? It's a straight couple who got to keep their marriage after the dude had some surgery and medication. If anything, all it proves is that transitioning doesn't cost a straight man any of his rights.

It took so many years for same-sex marriage to be legalised in Australia, and all the time there's this fricking het couple lording it over us as being the first 'same-sex couple' to get married...They needed to just fuck off back to straightsville.

I read an article, I think it was skynews that was about a lesbian couple having a biological baby together and then i read that one of the "women" was a transwoman and knew it was click bait. I guess we should be amazed that a straight couple had unprotected sex and the woman got pregnant. Have you ever notice that the only time you really hear about transmen in the news its almost always because they had a child and all you hear is stories about this pregnant man, yet for transwomen its more of a variety like sports, being elected, more about a career, but transmen it's just about them having babies.

Don't worry. In the future women will have kids together from stem cells. It's just a matter of time. Personally, I don't care about kids at all. Great thing about being lesbians, it is that you aren't at least expected to marry and have kids like heteros are. For an hetero woman refusing motherhood is a difficult choice.

Side note. We actually can make sperm from eggs so gay women might actually have the ability at some point. But you could only have daughters due to chromosomal limitations. Going the other way we might get the artificial eggs created from stem cells but would still need an outside surrogate. 2 men could create sons or daughters though if we got that far.

I'm sick of the concept of privilege at this point. Don't get me wrong, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, poverty, snobbery are very real... but call it what it is. It is so simplistic and divisive to somehow rank everyone by their group identity and come up with a system that someone how some are more oppressed or privileged than others. Put it another way, a black person gets murdered because of racism, an asian person gets murdered because of racism, a gay man gets murdered because of homophobia, and a woman gets murdered because of sexism... who is the most oppressed? None of them, they're all dead.
