If employers were able to put in the contract, and communicate clearly to staff that they would be working in a free speech environment, could be party to hurty words, and employees by choosing to work there waived that "protection", then that could work.

However, presumably that would be classified as discriminating against the easily offended.

This is an attack on freedom of association and expression. It aims to make everywhere it is possible to go a "safe space" for some, with the side effect of making life hell for everyone else. And I suspect many of those it intends to help won't actually be happier in a world where everybody is fake, stressed and angry. Ho hum.

Been to this a few times. It's good, and I expect enjoyable for the typical reader of this sub.

Basically it's a series of discussion panels with questions after. Runs over a weekend, but you buy a single day ticket if prefer.

For each time slot, you can choose from various different talks, and usually there's something interesting for any given slot. There's also time for mingling, book stalls, and drinks after.

There are plenty of somewhat famous people to spot, both on panels and in the crowd.
