I agree 100%. What I wonder is why this is happening. Just in the '90s, not long ago, the idea was that feminine men and masculine women were fine. I don't want to sound racist, but hasn't this sudden regression to the worst gender roles began in tandem with the arrival of immigrants from islamic countries?

It’s happening because the LGBT campaign groups needed to keep the spice the cash flowing after gay marriage was passed in all western countries.

It’s been pointed out numerous times, old school transexuals never really bothered anyone and generally never wanted any attention. But once Bruce Jenner transitioned and the media and ngos fawned over him, the floodgates were opened.

It still seems more like it's exploded in the last decade, right around when the Internet made everyone extremely entitled and when men and women have been at each other's throats for so long. This ties to a lot of the TRA stuff- women saying "I don't want to be treated like a second class citizen, if men are the only people who get a fair shake in society, I'll be a man" or men saying "the rules of modern society are so rigged against us that there's no option, including not playing, but losing, so I choose to be a trans woman so I vault to the top of Oppression Olympics and people will listen to my problems and do something about them".

I've heard in gay circles that, especially in the past, bisexual people were looked down upon, I'm not sure all of the reasons why (not gay enough? someone who sleeps with the enemy? Idk) But one reason I've heard is because basically someone can just pretend to be gay and try to get into gay social spaces and gain cred but they are actually straight.

And like, that kinda makes sense. Usually the counter argument is that nobody would actually want to be gay since people treat you badly, but I think the social dynamics have changed there, gay people are considered cool in many circles, and people who want attention would claim the label since it got them attention.

I think we might see something similar here, if being trans is something that gets you attention and praise then people will do it, and if you can be trans without actually doing anything then all the more so.

It's just that they don't know what a "man" is. It's what happens when you get into the weeds of gender theory, a man is someone who is assertive and confident, but a woman is passive and timid? Um ok sure that's probably a statistical likelihood but it's a pretty sexist stereotype if you think women can't be assertive and confident and men can't be passive and timid.

See it's just easier if you define man as "someone who has (or had) a penis" for 99.99% of situations. But you know, sex and gender aren't the same thing. Sex is an objective reality that exists and is pretty clearly defined, and gender is some sort of subjective feeling about yourself I guess that has no definition and can mean literally anything to anyone, so it's a pretty useless metric.

I don't think what this person gets is that if you are a woman, dress like a woman, and act like a woman, but then insist that people call you a man and treat you like a man, they're just going to assume you are crazy.

Think about it. If you call females "cis women" and trans women just "women" that's erasing women.

Just say "woman" and if you want to be explicit use "female" or "biological woman". That way trans women stay trans women.

By the way you don't need to politicize if someone calls themselves or their friends cis. Just say you yourself won't like to be refered as cis.

Interesting that she still chooses to keep her friends that find other trans people disgusting. She didn't even call them transphobes. Means she's still not deep into the trans cult otherwise she wouldn't say something like "And at the end of the day, a man that looks like a woman is still a man" because it would piss off other cultists.

I find that trans men most of the time are still more sane than trans women. I would maybe even allow my children to invite one to my house, assuming they're not queer and they behave properly. Trans women though? Too much trouble, not in my house.
