Idk man that's the whole point. You can be as insane as possible but if people vote you insightful or funny, you will show up on the front page. It's not censorship exactly to do what you said, but still undesirable. I say it's no problem if that kinda stuff reaches the front page: new users have a choice to either live with the fact that all opinions are allowed here, or go to some other website.

I think they have opted out of s/all so you wouldn't see it unless you were subscribed. If you look through post histories of very active accounts made before the reddit extinction you will surely see it. In fact i'm almost sure that a large amount of users only used the site for that one specific sub. s/ice_poseidon2 if i have spelled it correctly.

Newpipe is BY FAR the most useful app. It's a YouTube client, you can download videos, and I'm one of those weird people who likes to listen to songs on youtube. Which is where the background play feature comes in handy.

Also, no ads, no sign in, no API tokens, and no money given to YouTube.

I'm no web developer, but it's still very easy to see why.

So they can push you to download their app. Saidit mobile website works fantastically well, so does the redreader client. There was absolutely no reason for redbit to make a shitty website it other than to push you to into downloading the shitty reddit app. Now if you ask why the app is so shitty - because they wanted it to look like Insta, snapchat et al so people can find familiarity.

Why do they want you to install the app you ask? Well, isn't it easy! Reddit has had a hard time selling ads. Their main source of income is selling user data. Today the best vector to get user data is getting mouth breathers to download your shitty app.

They have also made a stupid redesigned desktop website - horrible stuff. It's like those generic websites with a vertical bar of worthless content in the middle of your screen and the rest of your space is wasted. I think that's also there for familiarity. Easy to get Instagram users to join your website.

You know what, go to r/shadowban and post there. (any random self text post) A nice bot will come over to let you know if you've been shadownbanned and which of your 100 most recent submissions have been removed.

There are different number systems. I'm going to write decimal to the left so you can understand.

In binary,

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 = 1, 10, 11, 100, 101 and so on.

In Trinary,

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 = 1, 2, 10, 11, 12 and so on.

Basically if your base is, say, 8 (octal number system) then you write 1, 2, 3... till 7 and then write 10. Then 11,12,13 to 17 and write 20 and so on.

If you do the same to Trinary you get

Putting together a computer is laughable easy these days (except for choosing parts). Slightly complicated jigsaw puzzle, that's all. I learnt how to connect monitor and peripherals to a computer at something like 7? 8? just by looking at the colour of the connector and hole. The story inside the cabinet is not very different either.

There are large blobs for buttons, shit called 'hamburger menu' (it was made for mobile devices where you have to make every fraction of an inch count... Not large desktop screens with a very high precision pointing device), JavaScript everywhere. I get that a considerable % of people use touchscreen devices on the internet, but when I actually visit most websites like this they ask to download their crappy app so what's the point anyway.

Raavan is a Hindu mythological character. However, that's not the person who inspired my username. The guy I'm a fan of is the person who played Raavan in the tv serial Raamayan. I just loved this guy, his voice was very impactful, as was his acting.

That said, this is my 3rd saidit account. Thing is, i kept getting banned from reddit resulting in 30+ accounts being made by me. So I'm not used to staying on the same account name for long - hopefully this account changes that.
