A lot of people don’t understand anything to do with gender ideology, have put no thought into the ramifications, just want to be tolerant or just don’t want to be called a bigot.

We saw a similar problem with the last Census in England and Wales in which it was discovered that one in six Muslims was trans and the highest rates of troonery was to be found in areas with the highest numbers of recent immigrants.

It is quite telling that the gender split in acceptance is just about the same in the US as it was in the UK with women being way more accepting of troonery than men. I do wonder if that remains if you control for education attainment and profession, as I suspect that you are more likely to be accepting of troonery if you have been through higher education and/or you work in a corporate environment and have been through DEI training - just a suspicion though.

The American Anthropological Association the Canadian Anthropology Society have cancelled the panel "Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby: Why biological sex remains a necessary analytic category in anthropology" scheduled to take place at their annual conference.

The reasons given for the cancellation was that the panel conflicted with their values, compromised "the safety and dignity of our members," and diminished the program's "scientific integrity."

They claimed the ideas the panel was planning to advance (i.e., sex is a real and scientifically important biological variable) would "cause harm to members represented by the Trans and LGBTQI of the anthropological community as well as the community at large."

It’s interesting isn’t it. When I was at university any topics of discussion within a subject/course were allowed if you could coherently present them and were prepared to defend them against criticism. You may be entirely wrong, but the discussion always served an educational purpose.

Now it seems that universities and colleges are much more about spoon feeding the “correct” interpretations and understandings and anything that challenges them is verboten. It’s really not a good way to run Higher Education.
