What is up with this explosion of late teens/early 20s women/girls in being trans all of a sudden?

Social contagion.

30-40 years ago it was largely anorexia and bulimia. Then 20 years ago along comes self harm to join the party. Now it’s FTM transgenderism.

It’s clear as day, exacerbated by social media and the modern predilection for viewing everything through lenses of mental health, identity and victimhood.

'In common with other potential changes to authorised liturgical provision, changing the wording and number of authorised forms of absolution would require a full Synodical process for approval.'

The proposal was welcomed by a group that campaigns for 'gender justice' in the Church of England.

Women and the Church (WATCH) said: 'WATCH welcomes the start of another project in the Church of England to look at the development of more inclusive language in our authorised liturgy.

'We hope that a proposal will be brought to Synod soon, as we believe that a theological misreading of God as exclusively male is a driver of much continuing discrimination and sexism against women.'

Welsh ministers set themselves on a collision course with Westminster over trans rights today with a demand for new powers to ease gender self-identification.

The Labour administration today launched a LGBTQ+ Action Plan that seeks to 'trigger' negotiations about taking on the role in overseeing how people change their gender.

Yeah, considering it wasn’t until John Money et al in the late sixties and early seventies, that “gender identity” was talked about in academic journals, it is hard to see how a children’s TV presenter could have predicted anything, let alone been warning the world when up until that point the few transwomen were middle-aged men and transmen weren’t a thing.

A philosopher doing their job. Peter Singer is a favourite of mine because he ponders the unthinkable for the purposes of exploring ethics. He was notorious in the 90s for saying similarly outrageous things in academic articles. I don’t necessarily agree with him on anything, but the world is better for him being in it because it’s an important role to fill - ethicists have to consider the most horrific things, it’s their job.

What this sort of thing exposes is the lack of intelligence in your average journalist these days. They’re hired based on factors other than their understanding of, or ability to synthesise complex concepts and communicate them to a lay public and so we get articles about womb transplants and brain-dead surrogates and they’re written in a way to suggest that these things are just around the corner when the opposite is true.

Part of that might be the shift in the role of news organisations, from priding themselves for informing the public (and therefore attracting viewers/readers through being trustworthy and useful) to measuring their success based on clicks and advertising sales. Outrage generates more clicks and page impressions than anything and so everything is now written or discussed in the most outrage generating fashion.

I think the reasoning is you do everything and anything in defence of your client and then if they’re found guilty there can be no comeback. Remember the taxi rank system means that barristers don’t have a lot of options to choose their clients, especially in the specialist law fields like sex crimes.

I’ve watched quite a few videos by a barrister who does animal rights work, and he says that he often finds himself in court representing farmers against animal cruelty charges because he is one of the top animal law barristers and so if a client comes up in the taxi rank he has to take them and provide a full defence even though he himself is a vegan, animal rights activist.

Personally, I’m glad the barrister made that argument, because now it’s been rejected by a jury in a rape trial it very likely won’t be tried again.

There was fury today after a transgender rapist attacked two women as a man then changed gender before the trial.

Isla Bryson was a shaven-headed Adam Graham with a Mike Tyson-style face tattoo when she carried out the violent sex attacks in 2016 and 2019 after abusing the victims she originally met online.

Bryson, who claimed to have had gender issues since the age of four, began transitioning from a man to a woman in 2020 after being charged with the rapes. She denied the accusations, telling jurors any sex was consensual - although she insisted she did not like sleeping with women and they made the 'first move'.

There was no reference to the 31-year-old having a gender recognition certificate during the trial.

It is understood she is being held in a segregation unit at Cornton Vale women's prison, where she will be risk assessed ahead of sentencing to see where she will serve her term.

Today Bryson was found guilty of the two rapes. She denied the charges, saying in evidence she 'would never hurt another human being'. Her defence KC Edward Targowski even told High Court in Glasgow: 'If you accept that evidence, that she is transitioning, that she is aiming to continue on that path to becoming female gender, that goes a long way to acquitting her of these charges'.

Scottish Conservative shadow community safety minister Russell Findlay said today: 'This rapist decided that he was no longer a man only after appearing in court on a rape charge.

'We now have the utterly perverse situation where a Scottish court refers to someone who says he identifies as female using 'her penis' to rape two vulnerable women.

'We warned of the inevitability of this happening if the SNP's gender self-ID law passed, but for it to have become reality is deeply worrying and an affront to the victims.'

It’s remarkable isn’t it, the narcissism of this woman is so great that she would risk the health of the baby in order to continue her roleplaying. The risk may be very small, I’ve not been able to find any references for it, but when my nieces were very little we, as a family (as I’m sure everyone normal does) didn’t take any risks with them because their health and wellbeing was the highest concern, my sister-in-law even gave up coffee, tea and spicy food just in case there was a chance of harm.

This woman not only can’t put her child first, she has to publicise it because it’s not about the child and all about her narcissistic need to seek attention and praise.

May god/fate/chance (delete as appropriate) protect that child and I hope that he grows up healthy, happy and successful inspite of his selfish, narcissistic, deluded mother.

Yeah, I’ve dealt with two safeguarding incidents at school involving an under-10 interacting online in an inappropriate way. Thankfully it came to our attention and we could step in before the children came to harm, but one of them was a very close call - but both occurred because the parents had zero understanding of what giving internet devices to their children meant and the risks that they were exposed to behind their bedroom doors.

And the saddest thing is, we send out internet safety stuff for parents all the time, including keeping them updated about any particular risks for children. They just seem to think their children won’t be the ones getting exploited or groomed.

This is why giving unfettered internet access to under-18s is fucking stupid. I think the internet should be largely unregulated, but I also don’t think it’s safe for children and I think every attempt to make it safe just raises parental complacency and makes the danger greater.

If you’re going to allow your children online, then you need to closely monitor what they’re doing and shut down the dangerous shit hard. And don’t let the children socialise with other children whose parents don’t share your values. My nieces don’t have phones or unfettered internet but their friends’ parents are retarded and so they pick up shit they shouldn’t have been exposed to at 10 and 8. Thankfully my brother and his wife are very aware of the risks.

The push to expand the appeal of and inclusion in science has let a lot of people that have no business anywhere near a museum, let alone an internationally renown national museum of science (it is a truly great museum and well worth a visit, been there many times on my own and with my classes).

The Wellcome Trust has decided to close its museum of medicine because of various woke nonsense, and the Royal College of Surgeons has done the same too. Progressives are prosecuting a Maoist purge of our collective history and culture, and largely getting away with it.

It is a very strange situation. People with body dysmorphia aren’t offered amputations and people with eating disorders aren’t offered bariatric surgery, so why are people with gender dysphoria being offered mutilating surgeries and being told that that is the best course of treatment?

The push to ban “conversion therapies” in the UK is nothing more than an effort to make the medical/surgical affirmation route the only therapeutic option for people with GD. It is simply a cynical piece of legislation that addresses a non-issue, gay conversion therapy just isn’t happening in the 21st century UK and the fact that there is no ring fencing for ethical psychological therapies for people with GD makes me suspect that outlawing anything but affirmation is the whole point.

That being said, the aesthetic cosmetic surgery and dentistry industries also need a massive investigation as well, some of the horror stories that come out about stuff that is happening in Eastern European, Turkish, SE Asian and S American surgical and dental clinics are the stuff of nightmares.
